No bad smells, but relatively low potencyNo bad smells, but relatively low potency
These capsules have zero smell and zero taste, which is something I appreciate in omega-3 supplements. In fact, these are so neutral in both taste and smell that I got a little suspicious and had to cut one open. Sure enough, when I smelled the oil itself, outside the capsule, it definitely smells like algea! So it’s legit! It speaks to the high quality of the capsule and the oil used in these softgels. The capsules are a bit large, which is somewhat typical for some omega-3 supplements. They’re softgels, so, to me, they’re easy to take, despite the size. I also appreciate that these are vegan-friendly.A down-side is the low potency, relative to the price. This currently costs between $33-$37, yet it only has 450 mg of DHA and 140 mg of EPA. This does have 60 days worth of softgels (120 total, taking 2 softgels per day), so the price isn’t outrageous. However, there are other vegan-friendly omega-3 supplements out there with more potency at comparable prices.
