    vegan omega oils

I received this sea buckthorn oil supplement with about a year and a half left before it expires. It’s made in Germany. It wasn’t mentioned if the manufacturing facility was GMP compliant or if there were any 3rd party testing to detect contaminants. There was an outer plastic seal but there was no inner seal like most other supplements have. There’s a faint odor in the jar; however the individual softgels do not have any odor. The softgel is about 14mm long and about 9 mm in diameter and has a bright red-orange color. Ease of use: I had a little more difficulty swallowing this (and other similarly shaped softgels) than capsules — it sometimes get caught in my throat. The softgel had no taste. I didn’t experience any side effects. The ingredients include sea buckthorn berry & seed oil and algae oil extract. The softgel shell is made from pea starch so all the ingredients are suitable for vegans, if that’s an important consideration (e.g. if you want omega oils but don’t want to take fish oils). Value for money: at about a quarter per serving it seems to be good value and comparable to other similar products.

    Great organic option for vegetarians

As vegetarians, we’re always looking to supplement our omega intake, and I was quite pleased to see this product. It’s easy to swallow with no unpleasant smell or taste. I’ve been taking it for about a week now and have had no side effects with digestion, which is as I expected. The price is pretty fair and it’s better (in my opinion) than taking fish-oil supplements. I appreciate that it’s certified organic. I’m liking this product so far and do recommend it, if you can work into your supplement budget.

Clean Plant-Based Omega Blend — Organic Sea Buckthorn Plus Vegan DHA/EPA

I recommend this Pharmakon whole-fruit sea buckthorn oil if you want a clean, plant-based omega blend instead of another fish-oil capsule. Sea buckthorn is unusual because the seed and berry oils together supply omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9, plus carotenoids and phytosterols. This version is EU-certified organic, sourced from German farms, and includes vegan algae-derived DHA and EPA, so you get long-chain omegas without fish, mercury, or a fishy aftertaste. The pea-starch softgels are also a plus if you prefer to avoid gelatin. Each serving is one softgel. The label lists 350 mg organic sea buckthorn berry and seed oil, providing about 100 mg omega-3 (linolenic acid), 110 mg omega-6 (linoleic acid), 50 mg omega-7 (palmitoleic acid), and 40 mg omega-9 (oleic acid), plus 150 mg organic algae oil extract with 100 mg DHA and 50 mg EPA. The bottle contains 90 softgels. Directions are one capsule one to three times daily with meals, so it lasts one to three months depending on how often you take it. Other ingredients are just the capsule shell (pea starch and water).People usually take sea buckthorn oil for mucosal and skin support — dry eyes, dry skin, and general barrier comfort — because omega-7 is a fat already found in skin and mucous membranes, and the carotenoids add antioxidant support. Small clinical studies have reported better skin hydration and elasticity, fewer dry-eye symptoms after several weeks to three months, and modest shifts in some cholesterol markers in certain groups. The added vegan DHA and EPA is the practical reason many will pick this over a plain sea buckthorn oil: you get the berry/seed profile and a meaningful daily dose of algae omegas in one capsule.Overall, this is a well-thought-out formula: organic whole-fruit oil, a transparent fatty-acid breakdown, vegan DHA/EPA, and a simple capsule. It is a convenient daily option, especially if you want plant-based omegas plus the carotenoid and omega-7 profile sea buckthorn is known for.

This is a super pill that I will be using for the rest of my life!

I honestly think if I could take just one supplement per day, this would definitely be it! I have been using Sea Buckthorn oil for many years for my skin, so when I saw the oil in capsule form, I jumped on it. Sea Buckrhorn Oil is packed with omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9 and mimics natural skin lipids to lock in moisture and prevent dryness. The high levels of antioxidants and vitamins stimulate cell renewal and protect against free radical damage. And its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe sunburns, eczema, acne, and redness. In capsule form, Sea Buckthorn oil supports heart health. It contains phytosterols and the healthy omega fatty acids help balance cholesterol levels and support overall cardiovascular function. The biggest shock for me is when I saw that the oil aids in digestion and gut health. The oil’s anti-inflammatory properties and mucosal repair capabilities can help soothe digestive lining issues, such as stomach ulcers—which I unfortunately have. It also boosts immunity because it is packed with over 190 bioactive compounds, including vitamin C and flavonoids that help strengthen the immune system against daily oxidative stress. And anyone going through menopause, as I am, Sea Buckthorn oil capsules can provide a non-hormonal, oral option to help reduce mild vaginal dryness and support mucosal tissue integrity during menopause. With this same process, it also helps with dry eyes—which I have. It is non-hormonal and does not increase circulating estrogen levels making it a great alternative for women who cannot or prefer not to use hormone therapy. You only have to take one pill per day and there are 90 pills total so this bottle will last you 90 days. IThink this is an awesome value and is so worth while. The pills are fairly small and easy to swallow. To me, this seems like a super pill and is a great value that I am willing to continue to use for the unforeseen future.

Unique plant-based omega blend with no fishy aftertaste!

I have experience taking supplements containing fish oils but this supplement offers an alternative to standard fish oil by combining organic sea buckthorn berry and seed oil with algae-derived omega fatty acids. Looking closely at the label, a single softgel capsule delivers omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9, alongside vegan EPA and DHA sourced from algae. This is a huge plus if you’re vegan or have fish allergies or simply want to avoid that unpleasant fishy burp and heavy aftertaste that can happen with traditional marine oils. The softgels themselves use a pea starch and water capsule shell, making them entirely plant-based and vegan-friendly. They are easy to swallow and didn’t cause any digestive upset when taken with meals as directed. While individual health benefit claims can take time to evaluate fully, the formulation seems thoughtfully designed, transparently labeled, and uses certified organic sourcing. At the serving suggestion of 1x softgel capsule a day, that gives you a 3 month supply in the bottle which I feel makes this a good value. While I’m not sure if it will replace my normal krill fish oil supplements, it does offer an alternative.

    A Nutrient-Packed Blend of Omega-3, 6, 7 & 9

This is my first time trying sea buckthorn oil, and I’ve been really impressed with it so far. I was drawn to this formula because sea buckthorn is naturally packed with nutrients, antioxidants, and a unique combination of omega fatty acids, including omega-3, 6, 7, and 9.Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is particularly known for its naturally high concentration of omega-7, which helps support healthy skin and moisture levels. It also contains carotenoids and vitamins that provide antioxidant support, making it an interesting addition to a daily wellness routine.Since adding this supplement, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in how hydrated and healthy-looking my skin feels. My skin feels softer and looks more radiant, and I’ve been especially happy with the overall improvement in its appearance. I also appreciate the potential benefits of omega-7 for supporting healthy mucous membranes and digestive wellness.I like that this is a whole-fruit sea buckthorn formula made with both seed and berry oils. It provides a broad range of naturally occurring nutrients rather than focusing on just one component. The combination of omega-3, 6, 7, and 9 along with carotenoids makes this a very well-rounded formula. The softgels are medium-sized, smooth, and relatively easy to swallow. They do have a distinctive natural smell, which isn’t surprising, but I haven’t experienced any negative side effects. I take one softgel three times a day, with or without food. The bottle contains 90 softgels, providing a one-month supply at the recommended serving. I think the price is reasonable for the quality and the amount of nutrients packed into each serving. This is my first time trying a supplement from this brand, and overall, I’ve been happy with the product. It’s made in Germany, which gave me some additional confidence in the manufacturing standards. I do wish the packaging provided more information about third-party testing or GMP certification, as I always prefer that level of transparency with supplements.Overall, I’m very happy with this sea buckthorn oil and plan to continue taking it.

    No fishy taste or aftertaste

I ordered these because I don’t eat fish, but I was looking for a way to integrate some Omega Oils into my diet without the fish. I have tried some over the counter fish oils before and they taste disgusting and leave a fishy taste in your mouth. These soft gels are a great size, have no taste or smell whatsoever, and are a great way to ensure you get those valuable nutrients. It says to take them 1-3 times a day as needed. I take two in the morning with my other vitamins every day. The ingredients used are organically grown in Germany and DHA and omega acids are added to the Buckthorn to provide the highest quality vitamins.
