Astaxanthin + Lutein + Bilberry + Vitamin C = Great formulation
This is a fantastic product formulation, and is an ideal all-in-one supplement for eye health and helping to prevent macular degeneration. The formulation:**150mg Vitamin C – Basic antioxidant, not really important here**20mg Lutein – Clinically studied for eye health and cognitive function and 10+ mg dosages.**4 mg Astareal astaxanthin – Astareal is a very high quality astaxanthin. Astaxanthin has been clinically studied for everything from improving vision to reducing wrinkles. (4mg to 12mg used in clinical trials)**40mg bilberry extract – They don’t specify what the anthocyanin content of this is, and that is important. If this was 40mg anthocyanins, that would be great, but if it is just 40mg bilberry extract, that probably isn’t a therapeutic dose. Anthocyanins have been studied for reducing eye dryness, improving vision, and general eye health – as well as a lot of other health benefits.Overall this is a really nicely formulated all-in-one eye health supplement. It’s not really missing anything, and is very scientifically formulated. My only issues with it are 1) It could have used a higher dosage of astaxanthin, 6+ mg for optimal benefits. And 2) Specify the anthocyanin content of the bilberry extract, because it could just be a filler ingredient since it isn’t standardized. But overall, this is a great supplement and helps me a lot with preventing eye strain and promoting eye health.

Pricy but has all excellent ingredients in good quantities
These eye care supplements are the best I have seen in 1 capsule. Usually a serving is 2 capsules but what is nice is that 1 capsule is a serving which cuts down on pills and waste. I really like that this includes bilberry which is not as common and has a high amount of lutein. It also includes astaxanthin and zeaxanthin which are great. Other pills also include a lot of vit E, vit A, zinc and copper. But if you are already taking a mutipurpose vit I think it is better not to have more supplement that will have the same things. The only thing is that this more expensive than most eye supplements and I find the capsules fishy smelling. This may be a problem for people who get upset stomach or have a sensitive nose. If it also included French maritine bark this would be my perfect eye supplement. It would also be nice if they had a 60 or 90 capsule option and gave a bulk discount in price as 1 bottle is only a month supply.

Quality supplement, just the right ingredients & made in the USA ( a bit pricey, though)
This is a very well formulated eye supplement that has all of the ingredients that I want (and none of the ones that I don’t). This makes it easier to integrate this supplement with others I am taking. I ordered this to help protect my vision, but any benefits to my skin will also be welcome! I recently started taking supplements with lutein and zeaxanthin again after stopping for a few years. I’m following the recommendation of the ophthalmologist that treated my father — he had advanced glaucoma, AMD and a host of other eye issues that plagued him from his late 50’s or so. He was fortunate enough to have found an excellent specialist and my brother and/or I accompanied him on some of his many visits and she graciously gave us some advice regarding our own vision as these issues have a genetic component. This supplement has the dosage of lutein and zeaxanthin that I was specifically looking for + astaxanthin and bilberry extract. I have found products with bilberry extract to be very helpful in maintaining my night vision (anecdotal evidence, but it works for me). The current price of $24.95 for a 30-day supply is a bit pricey, but I I find it well formulated and I like that I only need to take one capsule per day. They are fairly large but I don’t have any trouble getting them down, and I haven’t experienced any digestive upset. I appreciate that this supplement is made in the USA.

The price of healthy eyes?
This is a nice formulation, one that may improve eye health for some. My one qualm is that it comes in the form of fairly large, hard-to-swallow capsules. I’ve seen similar lutein/astaxanthin formulations in softgels, which are much more pleasant to consume. Also, check the price per capsule—to me these seem rather expensive for daily use.Remember that these nutrients are best obtained through diet: You can get lutein by eating spinach, and astaxanthin by eating salmon.

Good eye vitamins
I purchased this because I have very dry and red eyes. I didn’t notice anything different than the cheaper eye vitamins. I only took these for one month. I am still trying to find a good one that fits my budget and works for me. I think if you continue to take for more than one month you will probably notice a difference. I have nothing bad to review here.I just haven’t given it enough time to work for me.

Just a review on the taste
I was happy to find an eye supplement that had only the ingredients for eye health and not a lot of extras. I had my first dose today, and all I can say so far is that it was a little difficult to swallow, though not the worst pill I’ve ever had to choke down. Regarding the taste, since I have sensitive taste buds, I did notice the marigolds on the way down, and was later burping marigolds. I can also slightly taste it when I clear my throat. I will update this on the effectiveness when I’ve taken it for a longer period of time.

Real nice eye support combination !
I got this because I recently had eye surgery and I wanted to aid in the healing process as well as keep it ( my eye) from getting dry. Now those of you who follow my reviews know my deal is skin care and supplements and normally I dig in rather deep. However this is really not complicated but I will touch on it briefly.The bilberry extract helps with retinal inflammation. Reducing it. So that’s obviously good ! It helps with glaucoma and macular degeneration. However the key ingredient in bilberry extract that does it’s deal is anthocyanins. Those are pigments (purple- egg plant and of course bilberry) that are strong antioxidants and very helpful to the eyes. Sadly we have no idea of what percentage of anthocyanins are in this extract !Lutein is another pigment (orange) that is also anti inflammatory and helps fight and prevent eye diseases ! It’s often called the ‘eye vitamin’. Think carrots and bunnies !Zeaxanthin is another pigment (yellow-corn) that protects the eye from UV rays and helps with low light vision.I must note that these are so important that Lutein and Zeaxanthin are actually found inside the retina.Then finally Astaxanthin- Arguably the strongest antioxidant known to man at this time. I really see no argument as nothings even close. Beta glucan would be second (arguably but not close) Interesting since we are on colors here this is a reddish/pink algae which makes flamingos have their pink colors as well as lobsters have the red shells as they eat this. So what astaxanthin does is it gets rid of oxygen or better said oxidants that are harmful. And for reasons we do not understand it works really well with the eyes when taking Zeaxanthin and Lutein. I take it regularly for full body support. It is for this reason I give it 5 stars instead of 4 as I do not see this offered in eye supplements that much and it’s a must in my opinion.Also vitamin c which promotes collagen production and a antioxidant and some studies show it may prevent eye diseases.I do wish there was more mg’s of each ingredient in this ! I also wish there was vitamin A in this ! However for daily use as a preventative and maintain this seems in line. The very best part about this supplement is that it is made in The USA. It is also made in a GMP facility. They state it is tested for purity and what not which is good. I had no sides taking these and trust my eyes are happy with them. The caps are not small but I had no problem taking them. I hope this was helpful !

Various amounts of Lutein & ZeaxanthinSummary: As of late, it seems like old age is catching up, or maybe it’s all those telework hours from C19… so I decided to give a couple of eye supplements a try. This review is for six (6) Vine products, and also threw in the Amazon’s Choice OCUVITE for comparison.Observations: From a quick search, it appears that lutein and zeaxanthin are the main two ingredients to look for when it comes to eye health. All contain them, except BRONSON (which appears to be more like a general purpose multivitamin). The three offerings from VISIVITE have varying levels of Lutein & Zeaxanthin, so that you can adjust for, or eliminate all other supplements than those two. Since I already take a daily vitamin, I will be trying the Super Lutein 444 version first; the engineer in me also wants to eliminate the other “variables” so that I can truly determine if the L&Z are effective at improving vision.Recommendation: Short of being a doctor or scientist, (being an engineer doesn’t quite cut it), I’m going to recommend the Amazon choice based on cost, and reviews/ratings. Do spend a minute to read some of the critical reviews, which gives me insight into any potential problems if I decide to try a certain product. For any health product, we really only consider Made in the USA, and products which have all the relevant certifications and testing.Pros (all VisiVite): Very specific offerings; based on the AREDS2 study.Cons (all VisiVite): Cons (cost, but worth the specific formulation).Conclusion (all VisiVite): Rating all the VisiVites 5-stars (speciality).Conclusion (overall): The supplement market is vast, and the eye specific sector is no different.
