First, I ordered this on 5/31 and did not receive it until July 1st, so shipping time is an issue, so it loses a star for that. Admittedly, when I ordered this I thought it was B12. B2 RDA is very low and covered by diet or a multi-vitamin easily, but a high dosage is associated with helping people with migraines (not an issue for me), and a quick search reveals a lot of products with either 100 or 400mg of B2. The body can’t utilize this amount all at once, and is better broken up throughout the day, which is not possible with this serving size unless you take the powder out of the pill.I took this for a few days to test its immediate effects for energy. I noticed no difference in energy levels and my body worked all day to excrete out the excess based on color of urine still being very bright 12 hours later. Notably, the pills are bright yellow (which B2 is), not white like in the picture, just so you’re not surprised and think you have turmeric sent to you. The pill is easy enough to swallow and appears to be of good quality. Cost is a bit on the high end, but on par with other competitors. However, again, it is a high dose and you can get lower doses for less money, which may do the trick for you. Usually I love when I get the full amount in one pill, rather than taking 2-3 pills for a serving, but in this case it would be more practical.

I have taken riboflavin before but never at this dosage so I am curious to see how I like it. The capsules are medium sized, with a serving size of only 1 capsule per day which is easy to stay consistent with. I like that the capsules are transparent so you can see the orange color of riboflavin. There is no taste but there is a smell that smells like mild citrus. I have been taking this every morning for a month so far and I am liking it a lot as a part of my supplemental routine.

Effective but smells awful
These are fine and do what I expect from a vitamin B2 supplement. The capsules are easy enough to take and I haven’t had any issues with them otherwise. I do see the benefits of them like energy and skin benefits. The quantity is enough to get started if you haven’t taken them before to see results which makes them a good value. There’s nothing particularly special about them compared to other supplements I’ve tried, but my biggest complaint is the smell. They smell horrible as soon as I open the bottle. I can get past it and still take them, but it definitely makes them less pleasant to use.

Vitamin B2 Riboflavin 400mg Capsules We’re not what I was expecting given the products listing photo shows a white capsule. This had me concerned the wrong item was sent. I did my research though and they are the correct pills just the listing is inaccurate. I still found it confusing on the where the vitamins are actually formulated & manufactured. Whether it being in the USA/FDA/& GMP certified facility is still very vague in listing and bottle information. I did still give them a try even without knowing, I’ve came this far as to ordering them and was hoping for the results they promised. First let me say, it Will turn any fluid leaving your body Bright Yellow- I mean as if you chewed on a highlighter or well had a full meal of highlighters. I still had this the next day before I had even taken the next dosage. This tells me that the majority of the ingredients were not used by my system. It is a 30,000% higher dosage than recommended. I was hopeful that I would see results faster due to this but nothing that sticks out from my usual day to day. They are normal sized in comparison to other vitamins and easy to swallow. The bottle has 120 servings which is a good amount and if the pills could be broken in half it would really be beneficial but unfortunately they cannot. The quality is good, they are within a couple years of expiration and have absolutely no taste to them which are all positives. I did not notice any uptake in energy but I also only was able to keep taking them for a 12 days before I had had enough of bright yellow issues. For the price I think that better options are out there for less money than these cost. I don’t feel it was a good value for the price. Especially since I was not able to take the whole bottle due to the adverse colorations excreted that was really annoying and not something I wanted to deal with. I feel this should be disclosed in Huge print and The Bottle Should Have Big Yellow Pills on the photo pictures. Some of pills have black dots in with the yellow stuff- it does seem to have stuff that is not supposed to be in there with the yellow powder.

I take vitamin B2 to enhance my metabolism. Since it is water soluble and does not remain in the body for long, I take it daily. The yellow-colored capsules are small and easy to swallow. They do not have any odor or taste to them. The bottle came with the customary tamper proofing seals. I have not experienced any negative side effects so far. I consider this supplement a good value for the quantity of servings we get. A full 4-month supply.

I take a variety of Clear Formulas supplements, and generally I’m happy with my purchases. This one has me a bit confused. The product photos show white capsules, and I received yellow capsules, which is the expected color.So why are the product photos showing white capsules? When it comes to riboflavin supplements, that’s a sign of a high level of white filler ingredients.Another thing that stands out and is not customary for Clear Formulas is the bottle notes these were ‘formulated’ in the USA. That is different from ‘manufactured’ in the USA, and the bottle only says these were manufactured at an FDA-inspected and GMP-certified facility. Where, I do not know.In product photos, it states that these were manufactured in the USA.Further down, in the Q&A section, a dropdown discusses Coenzyme Q10 manufacturing, and a couple of other dropdowns have * at the bottom of each paragraph, but I am unable to locate where the * leads, so these are more red flags for me.These discrepancies are not major, but it makes me less happy with this item and Clear Formulas in general, as it all feels a bit deceptive and lacking in attention to detail.Aside from all of that, there are two things to be aware of when it comes to riboflavin:These come as 400mg capsules, which is considered a high dose and is generally the dosage for migraine prevention. General supplementation doses are usually lower (less than 2mg/day).An excess of riboflavin causes bright neon-yellow urine.
