One of 3-4 brands I’ve tried to relieve my leg cramps at night. Each and every advertise brand has a different serving size and therefore a different milligram deemed to be the correct dose as well as a different quantity that subsequently determines the final cost. You have to read the label carefully. You do want to exclude any product that has magnesium oxide as it doesn’t absorb very well and increases the likelihood of loose bowels. You don’t need any chelated versions. One version is a glycinate salt with a serving size being four capsules providing 400 mg Mg per serving. That’s generally considered a rather high dose as a supplement except for the fact that it may not be as bioavailable as the citrate. The Source Natural single serving provides 133 mg of elemental magnesium. That works for me and is consumed shortly before bedtime taken with a bit of yogurt. So, pay no attention to the cost per capsule advertised next to the Brand since a serving size may vary depending on the product composition and mgs per capsule consumed. A product that has claims 2 capsules as a serving size with a count of #200 is exactly the same as the one capsule serving size and #100 if they contain elemental magnesium. Do the math.
