A Worthwhile $upplement But Too Expen$ive
At 59, I’ve spent the last year completely reshaping how I approach my health. I realized that if I want to feel vibrant and stay active as I age, I need to look beyond standard multivitamins and educate myself on what is actually happening at the cellular level. That journey naturally led me into the fascinating world of anti-aging supplementation, specifically cellular bioenergetics and NAD+ boosters. When I came across ProHealth Longevity Essentials NMNH Powder, I was eager to see how this next-generation compound stacked up against traditional option like NMN. (If you’re curious and want to nerd out here, the H in this product indicates that there’s an extra hydrogen atom vs. “regular” NMN. That tweak supposedly allows it to be better and more quickly absorbs into cells) and last longer once it’s in there!)The science behind NMNH, or dihydronicotinamide mononucleotide, is truly impressive for anyone serious about longevity. Research into cellular aging shows that our body’s natural levels of NAD+—an essential coenzyme needed for cellular energy production, mitochondrial health, and DNA repair—decline drastically as we get older. Because it sustained elevated NAD+ levels longer in preclinical research, it directly targets the biological energy deficits that make us FEEL sluggish, making it a very compelling tool for maintaining optimal cellular health, supporting metabolism, and protecting cells against oxidative stress.I can tell you that in my last year of health improvement, there are certain supplements I have come to swear by, and NMN (with or without an H) is one of them, in addition to Magnesium Glycinate and Creatine. That said, while NMNH is undoubtedly a valuable asset in anti-aging science, the asking price of a not even 2-ounce container is $159, bringing the per-ounce cost in at an unbelievable $99.97. While per scoop that breaks down to around $2, the small size of the container at that high price is discouraging and in many cases prohibitive when there are many reasonably priced and equal quality competitors on the market. So for the product itself, 5 stars based on mixability, quality, what it does for the body and no foul flavor. Definitely subtracting one star here however for the egregious overpricing. Get it down and this item would be worth the investment!

The most economical of ProHealth’s value priced NMNH offerings
Overall Rating: 5 stars (excellent) – NMNH in a powdered form is more economical, and also allows you to exactly tailor your dosage. This 45g jar is also the most economical of their offerings, and is my overall recommendation if you’re a regular NMNH consumer (I tested 5 different ProHealth NMNH products)ProHealth Longevity is one of a small number of supplement brands I trust. They’re US Made, GMP Certified, and 3rd Party tested. Their “Essentials” label are their new value priced supplements (ProHealth are typically premium priced as befits the quality).Cost on a per gram basis (as of July 2026):45g – Best value for your money15g – 14% more expensive1000 – 14% more expensive500 – 24% more expensive250 – 27% more expensiveRecommended dosage by age (YMMV):40’s – 250-500mg50’s – 500-750mg60’s + – 750-1,000mgIndividual Ratings:INGREDIENTS: excellent – Just NMNH. Nothing else!QUALITY: excellent – ProHealth’s products are made in the USA in a GMP certified facility. US based ISO 3rd party tested for potency and purity.Ease of use: excellent – 1 scoop provides 500mg, but of course you can take more or less to suit your needs. 90 servings at the recommended 500mg. 2 year shelf life.Note: Supplements are regulated like foods by the FDA, and claims regarding effectiveness (i.e. energy level, sleep quality) and side effects often aren’t backed by science. So I don’t review supplements based on those claims, and instead rate them based primarily on ingredients and quality. Prices and budgets can vary so I usually leave it to the reader to determine value for themselves.

Can’t get any better than this
I have been focusing a lot more on an active lifestyle and eating healthier recently, but keeping my momentum up throughout the entire day can be tough when I am always on my feet running errands or hitting the gym. I decided to try out this ProHealth Longevity NMNH powder to help support my cellular health and metabolism, and I have been thoroughly impressed. Right out of the container, the quality of the product is incredibly evident because it looks and feels like a premium supplement. The texture is extremely fine rather than being chunky or gritty, which allows it to dissolve completely seamlessly into my morning glass of water without clumping at the bottom. I also really appreciate the clean and transparent ingredients since it uses the pure Nexergy formulation without any unnecessary artificial fillers or weird additives that could mess with my stomach. After incorporating this NAD precursor into my daily routine over the last few weeks, the sustained energy I have experienced has been a total game changer for my busy schedule. I no longer hit that dreaded afternoon wall, and I get a steady boost that feels completely natural instead of the jittery rush you normally get from too much coffee. Since the powder is unflavored, the flavor is completely neutral and virtually undetectable when I mix it into a protein shake or a smoothie, making it incredibly easy to consume every single day. When I consider the noticeable health benefits like feeling much more recovered after heavy lifting sessions and experiencing better overall vitality, I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase. Getting forty five grams of pure laboratory grade supplementation in a generously sized container makes the overall value for money truly outstanding for anyone looking to optimize their daily wellness.

Three month supplyThree month supply
I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies and some of the lowest. So I try to give a detailed enough review to help you know the company and product better, so you can determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out. This container comes less than half full, which is one of my pet peeves with many supplement companies. I would prefer they put in more powder and/or use a smaller container.I wonder when powder supplement manufacturers are going to realize the scoop doesn’t need a reinforced handle? The powder is light enough and the plastic strong enough that it will work with just a flat handle. That will keep powder from getting stuck in the nooks and crannies and then randomly free-falling when it’s right over something I don’t want it to free-fall on (such as my keyboard =) Also, making the scoop rounded will help the powder come out easier. If used as directed it will last three months. The expiration date on mine is Apr 2028.The scent of the powder is interesting to try and explain. If you inhale lightly, not too close to the container, it’s a little sweet. I got too close and breathed in too hard and it made me cough. It doesn’t smell like chlorine, but after coughing the feeling in my head was reminiscent of when I’m in a pool and get chlorine in my nose.I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says 3rd party lab tested, GMP certified, and packaged and lab tested in the USA.I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. ProHealth puts their phone number on the bottle as well as an international number. The product information page says they have been operating since 1988 and there is analytical test report in the pictures. Their ProHealth site is both functional and informative. They not only have customer service, but a chat feature on their site with “longevity experts” who you can chat with about your supplement questions and needs. The bios of their medical advisors are also on the site. There is too much to list, you need to check out the site.I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement but have had good experiences with this company before, and like the absence of fillers and flow agents that many companies say they need to use, while the manufacturers of the highest-quality supplements I am aware of refuse to.Also, it’s pretty pricey! But if you break it down across three months, it’s more affordable than it initially appears.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

Excellent next-gen NMNH at a much better priceExcellent next-gen NMNH at a much better price
I’ve been following the NMNH research closely, and this ProHealth Longevity Essentials powder is an easy recommendation. NMNH is the reduced form of NMN, and the available data (especially the 2021 Zapata-Pérez FASEB Journal work) show it raises blood NAD+ faster and roughly twice as high as standard NMN, with the elevation lasting 20–24 hours. It also increased NAD+ substantially in tissues where NMN often shows little or no effect — liver (>5-fold), kidney, skeletal muscle, heart, and brain. More recent summaries of the same work report roughly 20–30% higher NAD+ in muscle, heart, and brain compared with NMN. The human Phase 1 data on NMNH further reported up to a 3× plasma NAD+ surge, a measurable reduction in biological age markers, and solid improvements in energy and emotional well-being.It is well established that NAD+ levels decline substantially with age—often by half or more by middle age. This drop contributes to reduced cellular energy production, impaired mitochondrial function, slower DNA repair, and diminished overall resilience. Supporting higher NAD+ through a more efficient precursor may therefore help counter some of these age-related declines, potentially translating into better cellular energy, improved recovery, and greater day-to-day vitality.Raising NAD+ in the additional tissues noted above is especially significant because NAD+ functions as both a critical redox cofactor and a required substrate for sirtuins and PARPs. In the brain, higher availability supports neuronal energy metabolism and synaptic function. In cardiac and skeletal muscle, it enhances mitochondrial ATP production and contractile performance. In the liver and kidney, it supports metabolic activity and cellular repair. Because standard NMN often shows limited uptake or conversion in these compartments, NMNH’s broader tissue distribution represents a meaningful advantage. What I particularly like about the ProHealth Essentials version is the practical value. You’re getting 45 g of pure Nexergy+™ amorphous NMNH (500 mg per scoop, 90 servings) from a company that has been doing this since 1988. Every batch is triple third-party tested with the full COAs published online, manufactured in the USA under GMP conditions, and backed by their usual transparent quality standards. The Essentials line lets you access genuine laboratory-grade NMNH without paying the premium that branded clinical-trial versions (such as UthPeak) currently command. You’re still getting the same core molecule and the same rigorous testing — just at a noticeably more accessible price point.Overall this is a clean, well-dosed, high-transparency NMNH powder from a trusted longevity brand. If you’re looking to move beyond standard NMN and want the faster, more sustained NAD+ support that the reduced form appears to deliver, this is an excellent and cost-effective way to do it. Highly recommended.

Supports Cognitive & Metabolic HealthSupports Cognitive & Metabolic Health
As a high-performance biohacking enthusiast, I highly recommend this pure Nexergy+™ NMNH powder.I like that this high-potency formula NMNH enters cells and is swiftly converted into NADH—which is then transformed into NAD+ (bypassing the enzymes required by traditional NAD+ precursors like NMN and NR). This unique pathway—facilitated by adenosine kinase (AK)—accelerates NAD+ production and ensures faster and more efficient cellular energy.By enhancing key energy-producing processes such as the Krebs cycle and glycolysis—NMNH helps fuel ATP production and supports cellular repair and growth. It provides maximum NAD+ precursor support for those serious about cellular health and longevity.TLDR:NMNH (reduced NMN) drives NAD+ production through a faster, more direct pathway than NR or NMN—bypassing rate-limiting enzymatic steps that standard NMN cannot. The extra hydrogen atom it carries matters: it unlocks more powerful, longer-lasting cellular energy support. I stack this premium supplement with other NAD+ boosters to fully optimize my anti-aging strategy. This laboratory-grade NMNH is an amorphous (non-crystalline) form of reduced nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMNH)—engineered to deliver the next-generation NMNH molecule using a dissolution-enhancing physical structure designed for accessible, everyday NAD+ support.Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) supplements are considered one of the most efficient ways to raise NAD+ levels in the body, supporting cellular energy, DNA repair and potentially slowing age-related decline. NMN is a natural molecule and a direct precursor to Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+), a coenzyme essential for cellular metabolism, DNA repair and mitochondrial function.NAD+ levels naturally decline with age, and boosting these levels may improve energy metabolism, cognitive function and overall cellular health. NAD boosters include NMN, nicotinamide riboside (NR), and sometimes direct NAD+ supplements–though NMN is typically more bioavailable than NAD+ itself.Research and early clinical studies suggest NMN supplementation may provide benefits such as improved cellular energy and metabolism (enhancing endurance and recovery), support for DNA repair and mitochondrial efficiency (potentially slowing some aspects of cellular aging), cognitive and metabolic health support (including possible improvements in insulin sensitivity and muscle performance), and cardiovascular support (potentially lowering blood pressure and improving vascular function).

Top quality NMNH powderTop quality NMNH powder
My husband and I are in our 70s have been taking NAD+ boosters for over four years now. We both had several physical issues before starting this and they improved for both of us. I can’t say for sure what is responsible for the improvement in our health but it coincides with us taking these supplements. I have tried many different brands of NAD boosters and in my opinion ProHealth is one of the best. ProHealth has known for its strict third party testing and high quality products. These new NMN boosters contain a patented blend called Nexergy. The key advantage of Nexergy is better digestion and absorption. This particular ProHealth NMN product comes as a powder. It has a small scoop and contains 500 mg per scoop. The nice thing about using a powder form is that you can adjust the dose. If you are new to NAD you can start with half a scoop or 250 mg dose. I am taking the full 500 mg dose. I mixed one scoop in 8 ounces of water and it was completely tasteless. Some NAD boosters come with antioxidants in them which go well together. However, I have read that the best way to take NMN is first thing in the morning before breakfast and the best way to take antioxidants is with a meal. bottle but the If you’re new to NAD boosters I would recommend this NMNH powder to anyone either just starting on NAD boosters or anyone taking them regularly like myself. This. 90 day supply is pricey at the current price of $159.95 but if you are committed to using it this large container will save you about $60.00 compared to the 30 day size.

Appears to be quality product but a considered purchase at this priceAppears to be quality product but a considered purchase at this price
This is definitely one of those products that is way outside of what I personally use. According to the label, it is a very powerful blend and will not match with my physiology. The packaging looks very professional and it’s clearly aimed at people who are really into the whole cellular‑health, longevity‑type supplements. It looks clean, well‑made, and high quality.I will say the price is pretty shocking for such a small container. It’s not even 2 ounces and the cost is sky‑high compared to other supplements I’ve seen.I’m sure people who already use NAD+ boosters or similar products might appreciate it, but for the average person, the price is going to be a hurdle. So while I can’t speak to the effects, I can say it appears to be a premium product with a premium price tag. If you’re already deep into this type of supplement, it might be worth a look — but it’s definitely not a casual purchase. Based on the price with comparable products, I can only give this a 3-star rating.
