Love Holy Basil
A good friend told me about Holy Basil years ago, and when I decided to try it I went for the company that I had used before – Oregon’s Wild Harvest. I can buy it in the store locally but it’s a few dollars more (even on sale).If you have never tried Holy basil I think this is a good way to get introduced. These are capsules containing the ground basil and when they start getting absorbed if on an empty stomach sometimes I experience a bit of a back taste so I prefer to take them with food.Within an hour of taking two capsules I notice that things that would normally “stress” me out just don’t seem to matter! I’m calmer and relaxed and generally nicer (I think).

I tried Holy Basil by other companies but the one by Wild Harvest I found to be the best. Not only does it calm you down if you are prone to constipation it will help you eliminate much better as well–which is a good thing. I am ordering more I love Wild Harvest Holy Basil. I give this product 5 stars.

Love their slippery elm but holy basil made me irritated and angry
If you feel a bit weird after taking holy basil make sure to google your dosha and make sure that holy basil isn’t exacerbating it. The quality of this company’s supplements is excellent. I use their slippery elm nearly daily, but holy basil didn’t sit well with me – out of no shade to the company. I realized that it is due to holy basil itself feeding into my pitta dosha. I was looking for a product that could combat stress relief and improve sleep quality. I also wanted a brand that cared about the ingredients. I looked at the reviews and did the research on holy basil prior to buying OWH. The effects have been exactly what they claim. Better sleep, a calmness in stressful situations, and overall mood was improved. My energy is up as well. Sleeping could be a part of that? The taste is minimal but it has more of an herbal smell which is a reminder of real food, which I like. As seen in the photo, the capsules appear to be larger, but they have a smooth coating making it manageable to swallow, and have not had an upset stomach. I do take my vitamins with food. I’m in menopause and was looking for natural ways to reduce stress and improve sleep which has been achieved. It works as it says, but take it as directed. I’m giving it 100% on effectiveness as well. Hard to explain I just feel better!Note: I also take Ashwagandha by the same company as it can enhance benefits of holy basil per research.I’m a believer and have my product on auto deliver already.
