Simple but effective probiotic strain
I take a probiotic every night before going to bed because that is when they are most effective. I usually take a probiotic with multiple strains, but when I saw the Nutricost Bacillus Subtilis Capsules I ordered it right away.I love that this probiotic is simple. Since I take it before bed, I like my probiotics to be just probiotics. Many probiotics include other vitamins and herbs that are intended to provide energy which can end up disturbing my precious sleep. As a perimenopausal woman, you don’t want to mess with my sleep. This probiotic capsule only contains Bacillus Subtilis which is a particularly hardy probiotic that will survive stomach acids and actually make it to the gut where it can be put to use. The only other active ingredient is chicory root, which is a prebiotic. There are a bit more fillers than I like, but nothing that I avoid or that will mess with my sleep.I love that the serving size is one capsule and it contains 10 billion CFU. I also love that the bottle and amazon description says that it is 3rd party lab tested and that it is made in a GMP compliant facility. I wish that it said where the capsules were made, and the facility was GMP certified, not just complaint, but I appreciate the assurances that they have.
