Welcome to a new chapter of Fortify by Nature’s Way. Fortify Akkermansia is a daily postbiotic to support metabolic health.* (What’s a postbiotic? It’s a preparation of intentionally heat-inactivated microorganisms that confers a health benefit on the host—think of it as a sibling or partner for your probiotic.*) Fortify Akkermansia is formulated with the clinically studied strain Akkermansia muciniphila TAC-01 and guarantees 10 billion TFUs (total fluorescent units) through the date of expiration. This product is made with Akkermansia muciniphila, which is found naturally in the human gut. We use a pasteurized, stable, postbiotic form of Akkermansia that does not require refrigeration. (TAC-01 is a trademark of the Akkermansia Company.) This daily formula is gluten free with no wheat, corn, soy, dairy, gelatin, or artificial colors or flavors. With a daily dose of just one capsule per day, it’s so easy to add to your routine and doesn’t require refrigeration.

Could be helpful
Akkermansia is an interesting ingredient with some legitimate research behind it, although I think we’re still pretty early in understanding how useful supplementing with it actually is. I’m definitely not going to take a capsule and tell you I can feel my “metabolic health” improving.I do like how straightforward the formula is. You get 10 billion TFU of Akkermansia muciniphila TAC-01, and everything else is basically there to make the capsule. No giant blend of extras just to make the label look impressive. My general feeling with something like this is that it may be helpful, it may ultimately do very little, but for most appropriate users it’s probably not doing any harm either. It’s an easy one-capsule serving, so I’m willing to give it a spot in my routine and see where the research goes.I’d still recommend doing your own research on Akkermansia and postbiotics and deciding whether the potential benefits make sense for you. Interesting supplement, simple formula, just keep expectations reasonable.

Modern Supplement by Reputable American Manufacturer
I ordered the Nature’s Way Fortify Akkermansia Postbiotic Capsules and the item arrived well-sealed with clear labeling, a printed date of expiry, and instructions. Nature’s Way is a long-established supplement manufacturer, with an FDA registered and GMP certified facility that does in-house batch testing – and I appreciate the added credibility of ordering a consumable supplement from an established brand with defined quality standards. The medium-sized capsules arrived intact, uniform, consistent and appear manufactured well. They possess no noticeable smell or flavor and are easy to swallow. I suffered no known side effects from this product. Each capsule provides the company’s Akkermansia muciniphila TAC-01 strain in a pasteurized, stable postbiotic form that requires no refrigeration. The provided supply of #30 capsules has a manufacturer’s recommended daily dose of #1, making this a one-month supply.Akkermansia muciniphila is naturally present in the human gut and has become an interesting subject of research, particularly in relation to metabolic and gut health. This product specifically uses a clinically studied strain, TAC-01, and I encourage research into this further if the ingredient interests you because Amazon is understandably particular about reviews venturing into the realm of medical or health claims. I also appreciate that the formula is gluten-free and contains no wheat, corn, soy, dairy, gelatin, or artificial colors or flavors.Overall, I think the value for the price point is solid for the formulation, full one-month supply, transparency, shelf-stable postbiotic formula, and established manufacturer. I have no complaints or criticisms about the quality or presentation of this item, and it sat fine in my stomach. I find this item and brand very recommendable. : )

A great formula for digestive support!
Probiotics are foods or supplements that contain live microorganisms intended to maintain or improve the “good” bacteria (normal microflora) in the body. Prebiotics are foods (typically high-fiber foods) that act as food for human microflora. Probiotics contribute live, beneficial microbes to the populations within your gut and elsewhere, in order to strengthen those communities. They’re meant to prevent and treat dysbiosis, an imbalance or a deficit of beneficial microbes in your microbiome.Digestive enzymes and probiotics work together, but they are very different. Digestive enzymes speed up digestion and optimize chemical processes within the digestive system. Probiotics are living microorganisms that help balance the environment of the gut so it can stay healthy and work efficiently. Both affect your digestion, but in very different ways.Probiotics are live organisms that make up the good bacteria in your gut. They help keep your digestive tract healthy, so they support the work your enzymes do. Unlike enzymes, probiotics do not have the ability to break down or digest food components. A common question about probiotics is whether it is ok to take probiotic supplements every day. Whilst there may be a few exceptions to this rule, the general answer is yes, it’s safe, and usually recommended, to take them daily. It’s important to understand that probiotics are a natural supplement and not a medicine.Postbiotics are bioactive compounds made when the friendly bacteria in your gut (probiotic bacteria) digest and break down fibers (prebiotics). This term refers to the waste left behind after your body digests both prebiotics and probiotics. Healthy postbiotics include nutrients such as vitamins B and K, amino acids, and substances called antimicrobial peptides that help to slow down the growth of harmful bacteria. This 30 servings akkermansia postbiotic Supplement is a great way to try the potential benefits of postbiotics. It i s also priced well at $20, however I was not able to find where it is made or sourced the ingredients from.

A well made postbiotic supplement that is easy to take daily
This review is for the Nature’s Way Fortify Akkermansia Postbiotic 30 Capsules.Akkermansia muciniphila is a superb and hard to find ingredient and these deliver it in a clean, no fuss format. The TAC-01 strain at 10 billion TFU per capsule is a solid and clinically studied dose, and the capsule itself is plant derived with no gluten, dairy, soy or artificial anything. For anyone who pays attention to what goes into their supplements the ingredient list here is about as clean as it gets. One capsule a day is as easy as a supplement routine gets and there is no unpleasant smell, taste or aftertaste to deal with. It sits comfortably in a daily stack without any digestive discomfort which is not always the case with gut focused supplements.A consistent use the gut health and metabolic support benefits build over time and the overall digestive comfort improvement is noticeable. For a 30 day supply the price is fair for the quality and specificity of what you are getting.

Cutting out the middle man
Akkermansia is a daily post biotic from Fortify which is created by Nature’s Way which have 7 key brands under their banner. Founded in 1969 by a man who was on a mission to improve his wife’s health by natural plant based methods. Bottled and tested in Green Bay, WI, I believe manufactured in Europe as the parent company is the European manufacturer Schwabe.I use Akkermansia TAC – 01 as a gut builder to strengthen the gut lining, key in my Autoimmunity. I was already taking Akkermansia at a lower dose of 4 billion, this is a guaranteed 10 Billion TFU (total fluorescent units) strength. So this is a dose step up for me, I have not had any issues. The difference between the three levels of biotic I found are ; Prebiotics are a non digestible fiber that feed existing gut bacteria allowing them to populate. A Probiotic is an actual beneficial bacteria or yeast microbe. And a post biotic is a compound / a fermented by product produced by probiotics when they feed. Postbiotics can deliver direct benefits without needing to be activated like probiotics. Example of a Postbiotic rich food would be kefir or saurkraut. Information taken from the northeast digestive website.A plastic bottle, Gluten and dairy free. I am happy with the quality of this and will continue to use.

A Simple Way to Add Akkermansia to My Daily Routine
I’ve been interested in Akkermansia for its potential connection to metabolic and gut health, so I was interested in trying this postbiotic from Nature’s Way. The product uses the TAC-01 strain and provides 10 billion TFU per capsule. The capsules are small and easy to swallow, and the bottle contains 30 capsules, making it a convenient one-month supply. I also like that this is a postbiotic rather than a traditional live probiotic, so there’s no need to deal with keeping a live bacterial culture viable.I haven’t used it long enough to make any meaningful claims about changes in my health, weight, or digestion, so I’m judging the product primarily on its formulation and convenience at this point. The packaging is good, the bottle is compact, and the capsules arrived in excellent condition.Overall, this seems like a well-presented and convenient option for someone specifically looking to supplement with Akkermansia.

A post-biotic metabolic supplement capsule worth a try
I am a tremendous proponent of probiotics, having made my own yogurt for the better part of a decade and eaten it daily. Likewise, I eat my share of beans and other highly fibrous vegetables that serve as the food source and “scaffolding” upon which the beneficial probiotic bacteria can reproduce and thrive. Postbiotics are the inactivated compounds from (dead) beneficial bacteria that can provide important components to cells and immune cells. The latter are thought to have a beneficial impact on metabolism as well. These capsules are meant to supply that postbiotic function, and one capsule daily can work along with the other components of the diet. The 30 capsules provided come at a fairly reasonable price for this specialized bacterial strain. While most supplements can take some time to experience even subtle benefits, these would certainly seem worth a try.
