As I am getting older, nearing my 50s, Recovery Care after workouts has become more important to me. Cortisol is a stress hormone that can make our bodies retain fat and the longer the workouts, the more cortisol our body creates and Metagenics MagActive Magnesium helps in relaxing achy muscles and although it’s non-drowsy, you get to sleep easier and protect your muscle gains.I don’t know or understand all the metabolic pathways that this stuff helps with, but I do know that it works for me and if you have those concerns then you should research the formula of magnesium glycinate, vitamin B6, folate, and vitamin B12 or consult your Doctor or nutritionist for any health concerns.But for the average healthy guy, I can tell you that it dissolves easily, I drink it with Peppermint Tea some nights, but I made the mistake of adding it to sparkling water and it fizzed all over the place. Something about the carbonated water interacting with the Mg causes the release of a lot of carbon dioxide and you can still drink it by half filling the glass to make room for the foam and adding a little at a time and waiting a couple seconds for it stop fizzing, which helped settle my stomach after a big meal.Also If you’re into Intermittent Fasting like me, it won’t break your fast after workouts or in the mornings while doing Fasted Cardio. This product has become a regular part of my post-workout routine that I drink before the sauna or after the shower that relaxes me even more so that I get more sleep and recover faster the next day.

A great product that works (for me)!
This works! I’ve tried multiple magnesium combos and different brands. This has a noticeable and quick effect to relax then sleep. I personally found it more effective than prescription sleep meds and non-prescription sleep aids (THC+CBD). I’m starting to think it’s helping with nighttime acid reflux as well. I’m getting a monthly subscription. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the amount in the jar is on the low side and I ended up having to buy 2 containers for the month.

I am giving this 3 stars because after reading the other reviews, I am sure it does it’s job for relaxation. However, I would give this product 1 star for the fact that it does not dissolve and the majority of the powder stays on the bottom of the glass. I bought this for my autistic daughter after her pediatrician recommended it. She took one sip and made that tart face and would not drink it. Most likely because she had a mouthful of magnesium powder.

I started taking this Metagenics powder specifically to help with muscle tightness and general stress, and it has quickly become a staple in my routine.Most magnesium powders have a weird, chalky, or metallic aftertaste, but the strawberry flavor here is really refreshing. It smells lightly sweet but it’s not too artificial tasting.The serving size is only one teaspoon, and the container has thirty. I’d say it’s a pretty good value at less than $1 a day. I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders and jaw. Within about 20 minutes of drinking this, I can feel my muscles physically relax. Easy to Mix and Gently Relaxing
I’ve had a good experience with this magnesium powder so far. I put the powder in a jar with a lid, added water, and shook it for about 20 seconds. It dissolved really well, with only a small amount of residue left at the bottom of the glass. The strawberry flavor is pleasant and not too overpowering, which I appreciate since some supplements can taste overly sweet or artificial. I took this at night and did feel more relaxed afterward, without feeling drowsy or groggy. Overall, it’s easy to use, tastes fine, and seems to do what it’s intended to do. I’m giving it 4 stars because it’s effective and convenient, but there’s still a little residue left after mixing.
