Great Support for Workouts Without the Junk
I’ve been using this BCAA powder for a few weeks now and it’s been a solid addition to my workout routine. I take it before or during strength training and I’ve noticed less muscle soreness and better recovery overall.The orange mango flavor is light and not overly sweet, which I appreciate. It mixes well with water—no clumps or weird aftertaste. Also like that it’s non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegetarian. I try to keep things clean, and this checks all the boxes.No frills, just a well-made product that does what it’s supposed to. I’ll definitely keep it in rotation.

Its 2 scoops-per-serving is about 50% more [volume] than the typical BCAA product’s one scoop, but it has roughly the same amount of L-Leucine, L-Valine, and L-Isoleucine, while not adding EAA’s like others. Between that and being very little flavor when taken as just one scoop (BCAA powders are usually an overwhelming flavor at recommended amounts), I have to wonder if it’s got a lot of filler in it.

This is my review for Metagenics BCAAs Powder 7.72 oz (219 g), Orange Mango Flavor, 30 Servings.Metagenics is a highly regarded brand. Their reputation for quality and innovation goes back 40 years. I have used their products often and found their formulas effective. When I review a product, I like to get a little background on the brand and check to make sure that I am ordering a supplement that has quality products and is safe. Unfortunately, I saw no reference to some important points. I did not see any reference to Metagencis GMO status. Their manufacturing facility is in Washington state ,however, there is no reference to its GMP certification nor if their products are 3rd party lab tested. These days the consumer has to do their due diligence to make sure the products they wish to use are safe and the ingredients are of the best quality. Metagencis has not offered any transparency here.Overall, Metagenics products work but this one makes it hard to want to take this on a continuous basis for the taste and the cost.I However, I feel that this product is a zinger for me. It’s a great formula for workout recovery but the taste is not at all inviting! For me that includes the Stevia. It’s nice to have a natural sweetener from plants but Stevia always leaves a bitter aftertaste. Te other disappointment is the cost. This jar is only a 30day supply. Granted Metagenics has always had somewhat higher prices but $ 50. for 1 month supply is a bit much.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Dr recommended this brand: however, the aftertaste is so bitter and despite several teeth brushings, the horrible flavor lasted for hours. Ugg. Try a BCAA without all the extra flavor stuff. Less is more in my opinion.

Noticeable Muscle Recovery Support
Looking for something to help my muscles recover after workouts, I came across Metagenics BCAAs Powder, so decided to give it a try. I’ve been using it for the past three weeks, and I’ve started to notice my muscles feel and recover better, especially after longer training sessions. I take two daily scoops in the morning and while the taste isn’t supper, I’ve found that mixing it with some juice and water in my small portable blender helps a lot. The powder tends to clump if I just stir it by hand, so blending it has been the better route for me.What drew me to this product is the ingredient list. It has L-leucine, L-valine, and L-isoleucine, which are the three branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) that your body doesn’t make on its own. L-leucine plays a big role in muscle protein synthesis and can help reduce muscle breakdown. L-valine is known for promoting tissue repair and muscle metabolism, and L-isoleucine supports energy levels and helps with endurance during physical activity. Together, these three help give your body what it needs to repair muscle fibers and recover faster, especially after intense workouts.I think that its price point is on the higher end, but I’m factoring in how I’ve actually been feeling since starting it which is where you can place value. Less fatigue, better recovery between sessions, and a general sense that my muscles aren’t taking as much of a beating. If things keep going the way they have, I’ll probably keep it in my routine, even if it means spending a bit more than I usually would on a supplement.
