Disappointing
On the basis of the self-review in a Life Extension publication, I purchased the C-magnesium crystals – the initial dose, a hefty 4500 mg Vitamin C, and 250 mg magnesium carbonate, did absolutely nothing. Doubled the dose later and it produced a very loose stool. A couple of days later, tried it again, with about half again the recommended dosage (1 teaspoon/4500 mg C, 250 mg magnesium), this time a small stool. Life Extension’s self-promotion wasn’t the best way to evaluate this product, and it may work better for another user.

Immune boost.
I originally bought this after reading about it in the Life extension magazine. It was working for people with constipation. I don’t have that problem but I know that C and Magnesium help the immune system. Also there are studies that most people are deficient in Magnesium. This winter every time I was feeling like I was coming down with something (cold, sore throat etc) I would immediately take 1 teaspoon mixed with an Emergen-C pac and a glass of water(it is quite sour if you don’t mix with something) You can’t even taste it if you mix with the pac and it cuts down the sweetness of pac. I have not been sick even once since I started this! So I do recommend. Love that it is a high potency powder as I am tired of taking pills. I feel like it works quickly in that form.

I have purchased a HEAP of different vitamin C products as I have a problem with acidic things burning and rotting out my stomach. This is the first brand I could take without a problem. I am guessing that the fact it is effervescent helps a lot, since it completely dissolves in water instantly, which removes the risk of large particles not breaking down quickly in the gut. But I am also taking a much lower dosage, like 1/8 of the recommended dose, which is still the same amount of Vitamin C as a regular tablet from another company.

Miracle worker!
This product has been a miracle worker for my lack of peristalsis, or contraction of my intestines to remove bowels. Miralax softens bowels but it doesn’t stimulate contractions to remove it. The best part is this is simple a vitamin and mineral in high doses. It’s not a habit forming stimulant laxative like exlax or Senna. Just be sure to take it on an empty stomach before breakfast and follow the directions. Have that extra 8 oz of water after you drink the product..it’s important.Be careful …if you take miralax and this, you poop becomes watery and can make you really dehydrated
