Clean ingredients, no weird taste, even works in hot coffee!
I’m really excited about this product. I am a big fan of Legion products in general because they use very clean, high-quality ingredients, sourcing from hormone-free, grass-fed cows.I already use Legion protein powder in my morning iced coffee and am really happy with it, so I figured it would be worth trying their collagen. As a 40-year-old woman, I’m increasingly focusing on my health, and anything I can do to get some extra protein and improve skin and joint health is money well spent. I am really happy with the specs of this product — not only do you get a substantial dose of collagen (15 grams), but you also get 13 grams of protein and 67% of your vitamin C for the day in one scoop (all of which are great for your skin).I need supplements to fit into my existing routine so I don’t forget to use them. Since my only experience with Legion is using their products in cold liquid, I decided to try this in my hot afternoon cup of coffee. The directions say to add one scoop to 8-10 ounces of liquid, so I put my coffee in a large mug and dumped in the powder, wondering what I was in for. It immediately began to dissolve. I stirred it up and tasted it without any cream. I could detect that something was slightly different, but couldn’t put my finger on it. It didn’t taste bad, just a little different. I added a bit of cream and was pleasantly surprised by how easily everything mixed together. It tasted pretty much the same. I didn’t notice a weird taste or texture, but I did notice a feeling of fullness after drinking most of the cup. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to take note of.I plan to use this collagen in a few other ways — in iced coffee, juice, smoothies, etc. Will update my review after I finish the bag and report back on whether or not I noticed any benefits. I’m mainly looking for any difference in skin appearance, nail strength and hair growth. If I have a reduction in joint pain in my shoulder or hip that would be a bonus, too.

Since discovering legion products, they are almost exclusively what I use. I love the thoughtful ingredients including grass fed sourcing when applicable, and 3rd party lab testing. This collagen fits the legion standard in those areas. The SOLUGEL collagen mixes really well and is very close to truly flavorless (I do mix with their clear why powder and I cannot even tell it is in there). It is primarily Type I collagen with some traces of III I believe. I used to try and all types, but more recently learned our body is primarily Type I so it makes sense to focus supplementation on it. The addition of Vitamin C in this mix is great as it helps the body to utilize the added collagen. So, for me, another great product from legion!

I picked up this collagen peptide powder from LEGION because I have had their other products and was impressed with the quality. I started using this daily several weeks ago and it has not disappointed me. It features high-quality ingredients including certified grass-fed bovine collagen and added Vitamin C. The formula is clean with no artificial sweeteners or sugar and a fully transparent label. It sits on the higher price side for collagen, yet it has given my skin a noticeable glow. I have also noticed stronger nails and improved joint comfort.I have always preferred mixing powders with iced water over morning coffee. This one develops an odd taste when mixed in plain water. There must be something to this brand name SOLUGEL stuff because I can shake this up with just water in my shaker and it blends better than my other collagen supplements. Those tend to have little floaties and flakes, slight grit, never really truly mixed but this seems to do a better job, not perfect but better.It’s unflavored collagen, still a taste but what you would expect. Use cold milk and it’s perfectly enjoyable. The value is okay, you are definitely paying for the SOLUGEL name and the extra 5 grams of collagen per serving. Compared to other products with just standard collagen it’s not as good but I can tell the stuff in this supplement is quality so there is that.I appreciate the resealable bag too, it works great. So yeah, quality supplement, okay value.

They are an American brand based in Florida as is their manufacturing facility. They pride themselves as having complete transparency. All their products are non GMO and 3rd party lab tested. They use no artificial sweeteners or flavors or additives or food dyes! The collagen in this “Legion Collagen Powder” is sourced from certified pasture-raised grass – fed Brazilian cattle. It is just pure collagen plus vitamin C for a total of 1 gram of protein and 60 calories. This bag holds 30 days worth of Collagen if you use 1 scoop a day. As stated n their website this particular product of Legion’s is aimed at “full body structural support” . Actually this is exactly what is needed for my particular “older” body. As I have gotten older I seem to be too sensitive to ingredients that are not necessarily natural but more on the synthetic side. So, things that never ever bothered my digestive system way back when are now the bane of my existence. Therefore I am really enjoying this collagen because it is completely free of all those additives and fillers as stated above. This collagen, when mixed with cold water results ina clear, no flavor beverage. I drink it plain but I supposed I could add it to my green tea or juice and I don’t think it would change the flavor of those drinks at all. It is a bit on the expensive side for 30 days worth but then I think about all the things that go in to making a supplement that is trustworthy and pure! I highly recommend this Collagen+ by Legion.
