A Convenient Daily Option for Memory Support
I’ve been using Life Extension Ultra Memory & Recall as part of my daily routine and overall I’ve been pleased with it. I like that it only requires one capsule a day, which makes it easy to stay consistent, and the vegetarian capsule and gluten-free, non-GMO formulation are also nice features for those who pay attention to what they take. The capsule is reasonably easy to incorporate into my routine, and I appreciate that the product is specifically formulated around memory and brain health rather than being a general multivitamin. I wouldn’t expect an immediate or dramatic change from a supplement like this, but after using it consistently, I feel it is a worthwhile addition to my daily wellness routine. I’m giving it 4 stars because I like the convenience and formulation, although I would have liked a more noticeable difference in memory and recall to give it a full 5 stars.

I can see improvement in my short term memory and ability to think through a situation without help. My focus is better. My energy is improved. I’ve noticed no side effects and feel this is a great value for the money, and one I will continue to use. I’m quick with answers when watching our fave tv quiz show. The answers cone up so much quicker, a bc d don’t ’hide in the shadows’ as I felt before this product.

Here’s a simple Pro’s/Con’s List:Pro’s:(1.) I’ve been taking this supplement for a couple of weeks and haven’t noticed any side effects.(2.) I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect, but this supplement is easy to use, you only have to take one capsule day for 30 days, and I’m currently at about day 17 so far, and it seems like I have a little less brain fog, but again I’m not totally sure, and I also haven’t noticed any changes in my sleep quality yet, but I’ll update my review after taking the fully recommended 30 day dosage.Con’s:(1.) After doing research for the Nutricog* half of the formula in this supplement, it seems like it’s more marketing hype than research proven fact, but I’ve used the same individual ingredients in other supplements and they are pretty effective on their own for other issues.In Conclusion:It is essentially a 50/50 split between verified science and corporate promises.The Good Half: CognitavenThe green oat extract has actual, peer-reviewed science backing it up. The data shows it genuinely helps with juggling tasks and short-term memory under pressure. It’s a solid, functional ingredient. However, it is always worth remembering that the company that manufactures the extract also funded the study. That doesn’t mean the data is flawed, but it does mean there is a built-in bias that hasn’t been cross-checked by an independent lab yet.The “Trust Us” Half: NutricogThis is where the logic hits a wall. The manufacturer is throwing around some massive, highly specific numbers—claiming things like a 2.3x improvement in delayed recall and an 11.5x boost in focus. The 40–65 age bracket they supposedly tested aligns perfectly for someone like myself at 58, which makes it a very appealing pitch.However, all of these numbers come directly from the company’s own press releases and sales brochures. They haven’t actually published this 120-day clinical trial in an independent, peer-reviewed journal for other scientists to scrutinize. Until that happens, the data cannot be objectively validated. I’ve found this supplement very easy to add to my routine. It is just one capsule a day, and I take mine with food. The capsule is a fairly standard size and has been easy for me to swallow, so the ease of use is definitely a plus.What I’ve noticed personally is that I seem to feel a little sharper, more motivated, and able to maintain focus a bit better when I’m taking it. The effectiveness has been subtle rather than dramatic, but I’ve been pleased with my experience so far. The capsules are large (photo) and a little bit difficult to swallow. I’ve taken half the bottle over fifteen days and perhaps it is not enough time for results to manifest but I have not yet noticed appreciable memory improvement, particularly short-term memory. The supplement is a proprietary mix of “Cognitaven 430mg” and “Nutricog 300mg” which includes green oat extract, gallic acid, ellagic acid, chebulic myrobalan, and Indian frankincense among other ingredients. I will finish the bottle and am giving a neutral rating of three stars for now. If I notice improvement, I will modify my review.

The front and back of the label is provided on this webpage which lists all of the included ingredients. The supplement mix does not have the mark of a certifying organization such as Consumer Lab, yet does advertise that Life Extension has been rated the #1 catalog/internet brand by Consumer Lab. I was unable to find a Certificate of Analysis (COA), which is awarded by an independent third-party company noting the supplement is free from bacterial contamination and heavy metals. I could not find an expiration date on the bottle. The bottle does exhibit a 1-800 phone number should you need to contact them. Life Extension does claim that 99% of it’s products are manufactured in the USA, though this particular supplement does not mention a place of manufacture. The 30 capsules have a mild, non-objectionable odor and fill the container about 25% of the way to the top. Perhaps the intent is to use this same container to offer a 90 or 100 capsule quantity for sale at a later date.
