The stress-reducing blend is 500 mg, mainly ashwagandha and l-theanine. Ashwagandha (Sensoril extract) is standardized and more potent than raw root powder, and has been shown in clinical studies to lower cortisol and improve sleep quality. L-theanine is known for promoting alpha brain waves and calm focus, often at doses of 100–200 mg, though the exact amount here is hidden within the blend. The cortisol-reducing blend is 450 mg, mostly magnolia bark and epimedium, plus 100 mg of phosphatidylserine. Magnolia bark extracts standardized to honokiol and magnolol have some evidence for reducing anxiety and cortisol spikes. Phosphatidylserine at 100 mg is on the lower end, since most stress studies use 200–400 mg, but even at this dose it may help blunt stress hormone peaks.For magnesium, the form matters a lot. Beneficial for me
I love to regularly take a cortisol or adrenal support product, as I find it helps support my body. This is a high quality product, although they are quite large pressed tablets, which may not work for everyone. I find them to be much more difficult to take than a filled capsule, but I do feel like you get more in this supplement versus others. I wish it didn’t contain soy, but otherwise I’ve been very happy with it.

UPDATE: I’ve taken this for a couple of weeks now and have to change my review. My tummy, mood, and sleep have been OFF. I started realizing that my stomach was feeling just a bit off, all hours of the day and at night – fullness, loss of appetite, and a bit of nausea. Also, my dreams have been disturbing and my sleep has been stressful. I wake up a few times (typically from crazy dreams) feeling jittery and nervous inside, and then I wake up in the morning with my mood being off. All of these things are very abnormal for me. I was taking the cortisol manager more for metabolism, and usually sleep fine, but not while taking this. I’m not sure if it’s the ashwaghanda or magnolia bark, but it’s definitely something. I’m going to look for something else to manage my cortisol. (BTW, the magnesium glycinate is still great.)Upon research, Integrative Therapeutics seems to be a highly respected supplement brand. They have science-based formulations, clean manufacturing practices, and quality products. The Cortisol Manager product is one of their most popular, and that is the one I was most interested in (but I’m also a fan of Magnseium Glycinate and am very happy to have that as well). As a middle-aged woman in menopause, controlling cortisol is what really helps me maintain (and lose) weight, so it’s the thing I really work hard at. This is an easy way to have a good nights rest, and control cortisol at the same time.They recommend taking one capsule before bed, which is what I’ve done. I haven’t had any negative effects, and plan to continue through the entire bottle before deciding whether to continue taking it, but so far so good!

Best sleep aid
This is the best sleep aid if you have troubles falling asleep because of high pressure from work and life. I tried so many different types of sleep aids products but didn’t really get any improvement. I realized maybe my insomnia is different because I just can’t stop thinking of how to finish tasks from work and what to cook for my picky kids. These two bottles together are really helping me. They are really expensive though, so I would not take them everyday but only when I feel super stressed before bed. I need to figure out which bottle helped me the most so I can keep taking it to reduce the expense.For Magnesium, it says it contains both bisglycinate and malate, bisglycinate is known as the best magnesium form to reduce stress. Malate is more for energy. The bottle doesn’t say how much mg for each. I don’t feel I need malate that much, probably will focus on bisglycinate after finishing this bottle.One best thing for this brand that I think worth pointing out is the way they print out the expiration date. I always have issues finding such important information from other brands. This may be a small thing but you can see the attitude of the brand.
