Swallowing them is easy when they’re truly neutral, but if I decide to chew, I’m immediately reminded that yes, this did in fact come from the ocean, and the ocean would like credit for its work.The biggest win is that I feel good about what I’m putting in my body: the brand reputation and straightforward ingredient list matter to me, and this one feels like it’s playing in the “serious grown-up supplement” league. The biggest catch is the serving size: “take 6 capsules/tablets daily” is ambitious, and if I’m even remotely sensitive, I’m not starting with the full six unless I want my digestive system to stage a dramatic interpretive dance. I find it difficult to eat seaweed regularly, so I used this supplement as an alternative way to add it to my routine. The capsules were easy to take, and the smell was mild, which made it easy to stay consistent. The product is made in Japan, and the overall quality felt reliable and well-made.I didn’t experience any noticeable side effects. While taking it, I felt slightly less fatigued and noticed some improvement in digestion and regular bathroom visits. I also had the impression that my immune system felt more supported during this time. Expensive sea weed, mild flavor

It’s definitely still got the seaweed fishy flavor, but much milder than I expected. Easy to chew up as long as you don’t mind getting a little more seaweed flavor spread around your mouth.cGMP certification is always nice to see when buying a brand you’re unfamiliar with, it gives you a bit of confidence that they’re not just throwing whatever into it.Some people might complain about the maltodextrin, but other than that no weird preservatives or fillers.It seems really expensive, I enjoyed this because I could get it free*, but I wouldn’t call it worth the price.Docked a star due to mostly to price, and the maltodextrin

Only 30mg agaricus mushroom…
This is a high quality Japanese seaweed extract supplement focused around fucoidan. Fucoidan has been studied for potential immune and anti-inflammatory effects, but the research is still pretty early and most evidence comes from cell or animal studies.Each 6 tablet serving provides 300 mg of mekabu extract and 30 mg of agaricus mushroom extract. Mekabu is the root portion of wakame seaweed and a natural source of fucoidan. Agaricus is a mushroom sometimes used in immune-support supplements because it contains beta-glucans and other polysaccharides.The formulation is very simple. The focus is clearly on the seaweed extract, with agaricus included as a secondary ingredient. The downside of this product is that 300mg is a low dose of wakame to begin with, and there isn’t any transparency around how much actual fucoidan is present. Not to mention, the 30mg agaricus is too low to offer any meaningful benefits. I would like to see more transparency around the standardized fucoidan content.Another issue is that maltodextrin is listed as the first ingredient, so clearly this product has a lot of filler.The tablets themselves are small and easy to take, and seaweed extracts in tablet form usually avoid the stronger marine taste you sometimes get with powders.Overall this is an interesting seaweed-based supplement, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for fucoidan extract, and the 30mg agaricus is too underdosed to provide any real benefits. It’s not the best value for fucoidan.

Disappointing
In terms of dosage, this is less value for the money than originally expected. I didn’t realize that you needed six pills for one dose. At that point you might as well just eat seaweed as it’d be more effective. Especially since starting to take this I didn’t feel any difference at the full dose. After going through half the bottle I did not find any changes to my digestion or my energy levels, so I don’t think this was effective for me. Did not notice any difference to my weight either or my overall health in general.

I have tried fucoidan before and was very pleased with the calming yet energizing affect so I was excited to try this supplement. It comes in the form of a pressed pill and oddly, it tastes fine so you can chew it up instead of swallowing it. It is very easy to take. However, within minutes of chewing up 2 tablets (1/3 the recommended amount), my stomach started to ache. My stomachache got worse and then I developed a slight headache within 15 minutes (and I rarely have headaches). Looking at the ingredient list shown, the first listed ingredient is maltodextrin, an additive that I try to avoid because of it’s detrimental affect on gut health. This month supply of pills at $78.95 is extremely expensive. I am not sure why they are ruining the quality with their additives. This pill did not work for me and I would not recommend.

This seems to be good quality and a pretty decent value. One small downside is that the bottle is completely in japanese so you will need to use a translator to read it if you are not fluent. But other than that im happy with the product and results!

This is my second time trying fucoidan. It has so many touted health benefits that I really want to like it. Unfortunately, I can’t see a difference yet from trying it. And worse, it contains maltodextrin, which may make us more susceptible to gaining weight and to gut problems.Fucoidan has some interesting research showing it can be very healing, but one of the benefits I was looking forward to was healing the digestive system. It seems like the malto-dextrin may cancel out that benefit.I’m going to try another brand of Fucoidan that doesn’t contain maltodextrin and hope I have more benefit from that.The bottle I received in December 2025 expires July 2028. The tablets are very small and easy to take, but I only take 2-4 a day. The smell and taste aren’t bad to me.
