Read all instructions before getting started (they aren’t all in one place).
This was an easy test to take, but they need to put ALL the instructions in one place, so nothing is missed. For instance, it would’ve been helpful to see on the instruction card that shaking my hand down and warming my hand in water before doing the test would help the blood flow better. But that was on a different piece of paper, so I didn’t do that and my blood didn’t flow as well as it could’ve (causing me to make a royal mess with it. ha!)Also, the instructions for putting it altogether left out putting the registration card in the envelope (but I did), and also there was a little sticker that they didn’t tell me where to put it, so I just stuck it on the bag. Just little details left out.Also, to register your kit, they tell you to go to the website and register using information from on the card. Well, I misplaced my registration card and when I contacted them to ask what the kit number was, they sent me to a different website, and in the end, I figured it out myself (registering on a completely different website). So, they definitely need to work on organizing things better.In the end, they did receive my test and sent me an email to let me know. I don’t have the results yet, but that doesn’t really matter for the review (unless they are invalid, and I’ll come back and report if they are).So, all in all, easy test with disorganized instructions. Go read everything before getting started! 🙂

UPDATE: Zero customer service. I have called the lab during business hours and no one answers. I got a message no one available so leave a message. I have emailed and it takes days and days to receive a response. CS does not even read the email. I have kit that didn’t register and can’t find help. The customer service is non existent.This is really fast and easy to use. I just went online and registered my kids. I followed the directions for the testing. It comes with a prepaid postage envelope to mail the sample back. I have use this lab before in my tests have always been accurate

Similar to well known company’s in format. Doesn’t ask for a huge amount of personal information.Test contains everything you need. As others have mentioned, there were things that were vague though, like an extra sticker that I didn’t know where it went.I took the test at home and dropped it off the following day, It took 5 days to get to the lab. Once it was at the lab, after a day, I received notice that they no longer used the same lab and my test was being discarded. IE: my the whole process for the original test was a waste of time.Trying it the second time around. Got a new test in four days. Sending it out the same day. Took 4 days to arrive to the lab and 6 days from lab arrival to get results. Having taken vitamin D tests in the recent past, the results were reasonably accurate.Overall … I, personally, would stick with a well known company that has a tried and true format and a reliable lab. This test format and waiting period was unreliable. Took almost a month to finally get results. That is way too long.

This test kit was easy to use in the comfort of my home and came with clear instructions. I received my test results quickly, and they were easy to read. I would recommend this product!

Waste of money- horrible CS
The whole kit is horrible. First the amount of blood needed is abnormally large quantity requiring multiple finger pricks. Then you register the kit and send it in. The system does not always recognize the registration leaving you to try to contact them. Just to find out there is no phone number so you are left battling this by email- so inefficient and frustrating.I bought these for my teen soon and ended upLoosing a kit and $40 since they refused to process or send me a retest kit. Now I am left with one kit and I am just going to throw it away as it is not something I care to deal with. A total loss of $80!! This is because the return window closed.I have used at home kits for many other targets with much more ease and a whole lot of success.Very disappointed ☹️Do not waste ur money …

This MyLab vitamin D test kit is easy to use, just prick your finger with one of the included lancets, and drip some blow on the indicated places. Just wait 15 minutes, and pack it up to ship it back. You do have to register your kit online and they ask for personal info, but so does every other brand for any sort of mail in tests so that’s nothing new.I got my results in 12 days after I mailed it out, which is much faster than I anticipated. Some of these type of mail in tests and whatnot can take multiple weeks, even sometimes over a month!I do want to say that they make the box look pretty and colorful online, but what I received was just a plain white box with some orange writing, and a sticker that shows what test it is. Not the pretty and colorful box it shows. Obviously that doesn’t effect the quality or the test, I just wish they would accurately portray what you are getting.Obviously I’m putting my faith in the brand and company that the results are accurate and correct. But really we’re doing that anyways even when we go to a professional place. Overall I’m happy with it!

I went to the doctor to get my vitamin D levels checked 2 years ago and they were and they were extremely low and I was very deficient so I was curious to see whether or not my levels have increased with the changes I have made to my lifestyle. I was excited about this do-it-yourself at home kit because it meant I didn’t have to make an appointment and go to the doctor.Doing the test was really easy. The whole process, including registering it online, only took approximately 15 minutes from start to finish. The instructions were pretty straightforward and self explanatory.The kit comes with everything you need and it even comes with alcohol prep wipes and bandaids. There are 2 of the alcohol wipes, bandaids and even 2 lancets are included in case you need to use both.Highly recommend this kit! I’m looking forward to receiving my results back and will update when I do.
