Problem with ‘best by’ date
I think the purpose of this supplement is very sound as it should help alleviate some inflammation with joint support. Unfortunately, the bottle I received had a ‘Best By’ date of July 2024 and the bottle had a crack at the bottom.

The expiration date on the one I received is stamped “2027,” so I’m glad to see that as some reviewers appear to have received outdated product from this seller.Time will tell for me if this will work, but from the other reports and reviews I’ve seen and read, I have a good chance of success.No aftertaste for me. The pill is a tad large, but no problem consuming it. You will have to try it for yourself, as I can’t tell you this will work as directed for you. For me, it was worth trying. I’ll come back to this review if it doesn’t work for me or if I end up with any adverse reactions. From what I can tell, I don’t forsee any issues.

Decent, But Better Joint and Skin Support Options Out There
I picked up these MSM tablets from Anabolic Labs mainly for joint support and some secondary skin benefits. Fortunately, my bottle wasn’t expired (unlike what several other reviewers mentioned), and the product seemed fresh and properly sealed.That said, after a few weeks of consistent use, I didn’t notice any substantial improvements that I couldn’t get from other supplements. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) does have research backing its anti-inflammatory properties, and it can be helpful for joint stiffness or skin hydration—but in my case, the effects were minimal compared to alternatives I’ve tried.For example, a combo of glucosamine + chondroitin, or even collagen peptides with hyaluronic acid, has given me far more noticeable results in both joint comfort and skin appearance. Even standalone turmeric/curcumin supplements have done more for my inflammation than this did.The tablet size is manageable and there were no side effects, but the price-to-performance ratio just isn’t there for me. It’s not a bad supplement by any means—it just feels like an underwhelming one, especially when stacked against other tried-and-true options.If you’re already sold on MSM and want a single-ingredient formula, this might be worth trying. But if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck in joint or skin support, there are better and more effective supplements out there.

I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to help you know the company and product better so you can determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.This bottle comes entirely encased in plastic. Normally I don’t like that but this time it kept the bottle from falling apart. Even though it came wrapped well, the bottle was cracked on the bottom and sides, enough that a hole had fallen out of the corner of the bottom – not quite large enough for tablets to fall out though.The bottle comes about 80% full, which is pretty good nowadays.If used as directed it will last 40 days to three months (120 tablets, taking them 1-3 times per day).The best by date on mine is Jan 2027.I detect no scent to the tablets, and I can’t vouch for how they taste or how easy to swallow they are, since I am concerned about glass particles.I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says non-GMO and manufactured by Anabolic Laboratories, which is in Colorado.I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. Their anaboliclabs site is undergoing a scheduled maintenance, but it lists their phone number for immediate assistance, and has a catalog.anaboliclabs site which has their products and a lot of information. It appears they have been in business for over 100 years.Normally, not being able to use the product I’m reviewing would be a negative, but with all I’ve seen of the company, I am confident in their being established and reputable. I will chalk the broken bottle up to an unfortunate anomaly. Healthy joints? sounds good to me
My wife and I did some reading about MSM and learned it has great benefits for pain and as anti-inflammatory in joint health metabolism among many things. I like that this supplement is non-GMO, it gives me peace of mind. I checked their amazon store and Anabolic Laboratories founded in 1924 has an impressive video about them and lots of great products for health I would like to try. The tablets are on the bigger side and I have problems swallowing so my solution to any large tablet is to cut them in half, grind them or mix them in my morning smoothie. I’m willing to do this because I like the quality of the product, but wishing they would make a smaller tablet or encapsulate it. The tablets come in a thick amber glass bottle with cello seal and a fresh protection seal. The tablets have no strange smell that I could discern and my expiration date is 2027.
