Iron Fish Cooking
This two piece Iron Fish for cooking is a interesting way to add natural Iron supplementation thru cooking. Instructions say to boil 1 liter of water and 3-5 drops of lemon juice for 10 minutes then remove the Iron fish. You can then continue to cook your meal in the Iron supplemented water or cool and use latter. I like this easy & simplistic way to add Iron to my diet. The problem for me however is i have no way to know how much extra Iron i’m actually consuming or how much Iron is being transferred to the liter of water when prepared according to the instructions? Then I wonder if it sinks and collects on the bottom of the pot or is it absorbed into specific ingredients added to the pot. These look to be good quality but too many unknowns about the actual dose consumed for me.

Cute Iron Fish
Love these iron fish. They are very simple to toss into the pot while cooking. They don’t change the flavor but add a good amount of much needed iron to the meal without effort. When cleaning up from cooking they are simple to clean up, just make sure they are dried quickly to prevent rusting. We have been using them for weeks and they still look brand new.

As someone living with anemia who can’t tolerate red meat, finding natural, easy ways to boost my iron intake has been an ongoing challenge. I recently started cooking with cast iron for this very reason — but here’s the catch: I use my Instant Pot and air-fryer almost daily, and rarely reach for traditional cast iron pans. That’s where these adorable little iron fish come in, and honestly? They’ve been a wonderful addition to my kitchen routine.I simply drop one of these little fish into my Instant Pot while it’s cooking — whether I’m making rice, veggies, soups, broths, or meats. That’s it. Every meal becomes an iron-infused meal without any extra thought, effort, or unpleasant supplement aftertaste. It’s the easiest health upgrade I’ve ever made. What makes these so special:✅ Genuinely effortless — No pills, no supplements with side effects, no remembering complicated routines. They need a chain and the claims are a bit much, but you probably know what to expect. They need a chain and the claims are a bit much, but you probably know what to expect.
Very cute iron fish and proud of themselves for being so with a great by “Fe” on the side. I do wish they’d come with a chain or something for holding on to them and taking them out when ready for the rest of the cooking.I’m not going to try claiming that adding a 10 minute boil step to cooking is easy and convenient. I’m not going to claim the extra burner time is free at today’s energy prices. I’ve had times in my life when I cooked every evening in cast iron and it really didn’t get me enough iron on its own even if some meals seemed to taste of the iron. However, the body is very funny about iron and tries to keep it out even though plenty is needed. I am told that irregular intake is somehow key to actually getting intake. Adding these in to fortify a dish every few days will help support that. Care is pretty easy. And they are cute. I found a wire. (No, they’re not staying where shown.)

What a terrific way to get daily iron. What a terrific way to get daily iron.
I’m so impressed with these two Iron Fish that I wish I would had discover them sooner. Three days ago I used them to cook some lentils and I could taste the extra iron while eating them. It was amazingly good. I followed the instructions and boiled them for 10 minutes in water with a couple of piece of lemon to help them release the supplement and worked like a charm. I noticed that after 15 minutes of taking them out of the water they developed a bit of rust; to resolved that I wiped them cleaned and them coated with grapeseed oil. Three days after they look good as new.The reason I’m so excited about them is because, I eat a lot of vegetarial meals and with these little fishies I can get my daily iron without taking the iron pills which can create constipation at times. I can’t recommend these product enough; they work and for a such an amazing price, what an amazing value. 🙂

Simple, Affordable Way to Add Iron While CookingSimple, Affordable Way to Add Iron While Cooking
I think these iron fish are a clever and practical addition to the kitchen. They’re well-made, feel solid and durable, and are easy to use. Just add one to boiling soups, sauces, or other liquid-based dishes as directed, then remove, clean, and store it for the next use.I like that this offers a reusable alternative to disposable supplements. Since they’re made of cast iron, there’s nothing to plug in or maintain, and they should last for years with proper care. Having two fish in the package is also a nice bonus, making it convenient to keep one as a backup or use in different pots. The included storage pouch is a nice touch, helping keep everything together between uses. The fish are smooth with no rough edges, and the size works well for everyday cooking.Overall, this is a unique kitchen tool that’s easy to incorporate into a cooking routine. If you’re looking for a reusable, low-maintenance product to complement your kitchen, this is a thoughtful and affordable option. I’d happily recommend it.

They have a handy hole for threading a string, making it easy to hang for storage or lift the fish in and out of pots.
