High HOPE for ADHD child
I ordered these to try to help my 7 year old son who has ADHD, who also struggles in school ( They call it a delay in learning and if you are not watching him you would not know he isn’t playing attention ) and with getting good sleep at night. I took him to our prediction who is the best ( was mine when I was a kid ) and he gave us medication to help him. During his Parent Teacher meeting at the start of the school year they told me he moved up over 90 point and was catching up and they were super shocked by this because they told me normally kids who are behind like he was don’t catch up like that and it is very rare to see a kid jump in number like that! We fought all summer long and had tutors and studied everyday and it paid off, but he still struggle a lot with focus, sleeping and sitting still! So after this meeting I reach out to our prediction who order test and he was diagnosed with ADHD( which I wish the school would of told me they seen sigh of this or suggested that I have him test before now he has struggled since PK,) So we started medication and it worked! Then I noticed I lost my happy child he became a zombie after we spend months trying to find one that work. He was on two different medications and 4 different dosages before we found the that helped him, but he was a zombie and looked so depressed so I stopped them after a little over a month and a half of finding the ‘RIGHT” one. We went back and the Doctor lowered the dosage and it isn’t working at all if anything I think he is worse now than he ever has been! So I did lots of research and found Vitamins and Minerals that can help without Medications. I would much rather do this than keep putting my kid on upper drugs that seem to be failing him! There has to be a easier was for these kids than having to just see what will work one by one upping and lowering dosage. So I order ” Smarty Pants kids Mineral ” My son hated the taste, how chewy they were and how hard they stuck in his teeth. So I did more research and read reviews on Amazon and the web and found these and many parents said they helped there children with ADHD and help them relax at night to get better sleep we are also doing a essential oil diffuser in his room to help as well. Though my Amazon Prime I get 2 day shipping, So I received these yesterday and my son took his first one last night. He wasn’t crazy about the taste or the size of the chewable tablet, its about the size of a quarter he said they were kind of chalky but if he takes a drank right before and after chewing these he said it not terrible and he would keep taking them with NO fight and took them this morning with no issue at all! WIN for this Mom! He is super picky about taste and textures, he always has been a picky eater! I have high hopes for ChildCalm, the Fish Oil and smarty pants daily vitamins we have started will help him. The only thing is I wish the Magnesium levels in these were a little higher, since study show children who have ADHD need 200mg daily. I still have high hope that this will work for him!”The most important link between magnesium and ADHD is that some of the symptoms of magnesium deficiency especially in children are also ADHD symptoms. These shared symptoms include irritability, mental confusion, shortened attention span and inability to focus on tasks for long periods. This is the basis of all studies examining magnesium levels in ADHD children. Supplementation with magnesium was found to improve ADHD symptoms in SOME children. The recommended dose of magnesium supplements in ADHD treatment is 200 mg per day always talk to your doctor before starting anything new”

We tried 3 brands – We like this one best!
We have tried 3 brands of magnesium calming/focus supplements for my 7 yr old daughter who can be a bit hyper, anxious and reactive at times. She is not diagnosed as being anything and does fine in school, but with distance learning upon us, I felt a boost in calmness and focus would really help her – and us!!! The first one we tried, she hated the taste and I can’t say i noticed any difference in her anyway. I did more research and learned i really needed to find a supp with Magnesium Glycinate. So then i found this one, ordered it and then the shipment got lost. Meanwhile I ordered a third brand to try as a replacement. Then the missing shipment finally arrived and my daughter loved the taste of this ChildCalm supp!!! yay! After a couple weeks of using it I DO think it works. It is not drastic, but it seems to take the edge off her reactiveness an she does seem to focus better. When she has “bad days” I often realize it happens to be a day she didn’t have the supplement. That third brand we tried was VAL, while it does have magnesium Glycinate, she hates the taste of it and we haven’t used it enough to know if it’s effective. We will be sticking with this Child Calm supp.

Can see improvements after 1 week of use!
We ordered ChildCalm 01/21/21, in hopes it, combined with her multivitamin, would help her get better sleep, lessen her anxiety and help her focus better on her schoolwork. Our daughter is 6 years old (7 in April), and has been having a lot of anxietal issues we couldn’t seem to pinpoint the reason for, or figure out how to help. She does virtual school from home. I left my job to stay home for this to be possible. Spending more quality time with her, I’m seeing a lot more, understanding exactly what the teachers were sending notes home about. Our daughter being so young, we don’t want to jump right into medication, so I started researching. It’s very likely she is adhd, and slightly possible she is dyslexic or on the spectrum. I’m working to pinpoint specific symptoms and have started tracking everything including mood, diet, events and sleep.Last Sunday, she began taking ChildCalm twice daily as suggested, once in the morning around breakfast time and once around dinner time. Today is day 9 of taking the supplement and I’m happy to say we are seeing positive results! While I cannot COMPLETELY attribute the great results to ChildCalm, because at the same time we also started her multivitamin (Smarty Pants kids formula) and changed her bedtime to 9PM (gradually by 30 min increments) from 7:30PM, we definitely will continue the use of this supplement. We think it has greatly contributed to her having much better days with schoolwork and much better sleeping patterns. She is finishing her work around lunchtime now, as opposed to 5PM or later. I don’t feel like I’m forcing her to do everything. She seems much more able to control her fits and anger that the work has to be done whether she wants to or not. She is now getting more deep sleep! She is awake a lot less during the night AND staying in her bed! This is a wonderful step in the right direction. We plan to talk with her doctor at her wellcheck in April, to see what she has to say about the supplements we have been using. I plan to have results to share with her to show the improvements we are seeing and hope we can get to the bottom of this.

Very helpful assistance
This is for my ‘inattentive’ child who is self-disciplined otherwise. This is not a miracle worker – it may not help your child’s specific needs, especially if your child is exposed to caffeine, dyes, poor nutrition, poor sleep, lacks any self discipline, or the worst – OTC non-drowsy anti-histamines (does nothing to combat that)…You may not see pharmaceutical results. I didn’t want pharm side effects either. Dose is 2 tablets, and 80lbs, 8yo only takes 1/2-1 per day daily as it isn’t cheap. Takes 2 leading up to standardized test days, recitals, or big ball games. Child also uses desk bounce bands at school, but no longer loses jacket, mask, water bottle, has fidgety hands when excited, or asks questions he already has the answer for. Still fun, energetic, loving – no side effects. Have purchased 3-4 times, and no resistance build up seen.Keep in mind, it has no noticeable effect on second child smaller child who doesn’t show symptoms. Can’t find similar dose of specific ingredients separately – very convenient. Large chewable tastes like sweet and tart candy, very easy to chew – but can be easily crushed to add to applesauce. About the size of three stacked nickels. Can’t stress enough – if your child takes Cetirizine, Loratadine, or like medicines – this could be compounding attention issues. You will need at least 3 days after the last dose to flush from system, then a couple days of ChildCalm. Note the changes over that time – you could be surprised! Good luck!

Really fantastic for my anxious 3yo!!!!
I started my very anxious 3.5 year old on ChildCalm a couple weeks ago. I chose this one based on the actual magnesium content and the quality of the other ingredients as well.Honestly, he is hesitant to eat this and I’m not sure why. It could be the newness of the thing still. The product is a little chalky, very sweet, and has a pretty good cherry flavor. I find it perfectly palatable (I have always hated chewable vitamins) and this kid happily eats vitamins that are actually gross to me, so I’m hoping he’ll come around. It’s coinciding with too big of an improvement with him for me to look for anything different.I will definitely continue having him take it because in even just these past couple weeks, we’ve seen wonderful new social skills and behaviors emerge. Just last night, he met a new neighbor mom at the park and verbally answered her question of how old he is (he has never ever engaged in conversation with a new person). He is calming himself more easily coping with life things much more readily. I’m so pleased with this product, I can’t even tell you. As a bonus, my product came with an easy opportunity for a free bottle, so that is great too!

Really works for children especially child on the spectrum!Really works for children especially child on the spectrum!
This review is LONG overdue! I actually feel terrible I have not written a review for this incredible life changing product. This children’s supplement ChildCalm is a staple in our home. As a mother and intuitive, I try to find products that are safe and natural for my children- my oldest son is 9 and autistic. It’s a known autistic trait to have trouble sleeping, falling asleep and staying asleep. It is also a known fact that most Americans are magnesium deficient from our western diets. I’ve never wanted my son to be on medication but after many sleep studies and visits to his neurologist that was their solution for his sleep. Years ago I decided that was not good enough, I the work in and researched for a solution. That is when I came across ChildCalm by Zahler. I found they were available on Amazon and gave it a shot. This supplement changed our lives. My son sleeps! My son gets restful sleep. He gets tired on his own. He takes this supplement every night, we will sometimes take a few days to a week off to not let his body get too used to it. It doesn’t matter how long, it’s like his body needs it, it is the missing puzzle piece all these years. We have used this product now for many years and I cannot say enough good things about it. It is a small business and a father of 3 who created it so in buying this you know it is going to people just like you, who needed a solution and created it and shares it with the world. Help support them and your child’s restfulness. We also use these for our other child who is adhd during his studies it helps keep him calm and less anxious, he stays focused and calm. I also take when I need to feel calm and grounded. We love the taste my kids are obsessed with it and act like it is a treat to have! We love Zahler Child Calm and you will too!

My 4-year-old has found her place of Zen…My 4-year-old has found her place of Zen…
I’d like to start this review by giving insight as to what my 4-year-old has been battling. She was diagnosed with Complete Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum the week she was born. We were unsure of what her future looked like. As a baby she was happy, calm and met all of her developmental milestones much earlier than children WITH their Corpus Callosum. She was reading by 15 months and became obsessed with astronomy by 2yo. It wasn’t until she was 2.5 when she began battling what most 2yos struggle with, social/emotional regulation. By the time she turned 3 she began experiencing anxiety attacks that would quicky escalate to tantrums. By 4yo, and after working extensively with social/emotional co-regulation development, my poor baby girl was still battling anxiety over things that no 4yo should ever have to deal with. Fear of release delayed her potty training, anxiety over having short hair would cause outbursts, any sort of disruption in her routine would also cause panic. As a mother I was at my wit’s end. Watching my baby girl struggle so much, even with the help of specialists… I decided to look outside the box and try these calming tablets. She has been taking them for 10 days and the difference in her energy is unbelievable. She is calm when normally she would not be. She is making more mindful choices and no longer acting out during moments of stress. Instead, she is talking about her feelings. For example, instead of screaming she will say, “I’m feeling frustrated!” …and then will elaborate on why she is feeling that way. Communicating those “big feelings” is something that we have been working on for 2 years. These calming tablets have allowed her to first recognize and name her emotions rather than reacting abruptly. I am forever grateful and will continue to have her take them until she can go without. She is a pretty picky eater and really sticks to fresh fruits and vegetables so I was interested to see if she would entertain a chewable tablet. To my surprise, she loves them. She said they taste like candy! So she now looks forward to her “calming candy” each day.I highly recommend these for any family that has a kiddo struggling with emotional regulation. I do not believe she will need these for life, but they are great for keeping her settled while we continue navigating the ins and out of social/emotional development. Please give them a try!
