I was told I needed to take 2500 mcg of Biotin a day. This “kids” formula by YUM-V’s is perfect for me. They are easy to chew and swallow, the taste is pleasant. I suffer no stomach upset at all. I also noticed, even with this smaller dosage, my hair looks and feels shinier, thicker, and fallout less often. My hair actually seems to be growing faster. That was a lovely surprise, even my fingernails have stopped splitting. These gummies are effective at helping with my personal issue, and they are also very good at boosting my hair and nail health. They are a great value for money, and I will continue ordering them for as long as they are available.

There is. Tolerable taste and smell but no after taste to them. You can cut up or bite as needed. These are soft and not too chewy or sticky. Making it easier to consume. No side effects have been noticeable.

As there is just one claimed nutrient added, biotin, with 2500mcg (that’s 2.5 mg, or 0.1% of the weight) per gummy, they’re more like expensive candies than vitamins.That 2500mcg dose is plenty, though: with 8,333% of the Daily Value, one gummy has as much biotin as the average person would need to get over the course of 83 days. Each gummy could be cut into halves, quarters, or even eighths for daily doses that should still well exceed 100% DV. Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin, which cannot be stored in the body, so excess is not going to build up, and it still needs to be taken every day to be effective.I recently also learned that high-dose biotin can cause some blood tests to return inaccurate results, such as common hormone-level testing, and the tropinin test that is used for diagnosis of a heart attack. So if you’re having any non-routine blood tests, be sure to tell your medical care provider that you’re taking high-dose biotin, and that it can interfere with blood tests. Delicious Biotin Gummies
Several years ago, my fingernails began splitting because they are in water too much. My dermatologist suggested Biotin supplements along with regular hand cream usage. I’ve been taking the adult version of YUM-V’s Biotin for about 3 years. I initially tried 3 different brands and YUM-V are the tastiest so YUM-V is the brand I continue to buy on Amazon through Subscribe & Save.This kids version of Biotin appears to be identical to the adult version. The difference is that children take 1 gummy a day, while adults take 2. They both contain 2500 mcg of Biotin per gummy. The listed ingredients are the same.I can tell that YUM-V Biotin has strengthened my nails. My hair is also growing faster and longer than it has before.You should check with your physician before using supplements. High levels of Biotin can falsify lab test results.If you are buying these for children, be sure to store them safely. They taste like candy. They are packaged with a child safety lid but older children may be able to open them.Both the adult and kids version of YUM-V Biotin Gummies are sold through the YUM-V store on Amazon. The kids version currently costs .27 cents per gummy, but only .16 cents with a coupon. The adult version currently costs .14 cents.

Pleasant Taste and Easily Digestible
This is a really easy and pleasant way to get my biotin in which I take for hair and nail support both of which are crucial to me as I have thin, fine hair and I test nail products on the regular so I need to keep my nails strong and supported with the proper nutrients and supplements. These are pleasant tasting with a slightly fruity/berry flavor that I find enjoyable. They have been easily digestible for me and I have a very sensitive system as I have diverticulosis and am a senior citizen. The gummy size is about the size of a standard raspberry and easy to chew with rapid dispersal in the mouth that dissolves quickly. It’s too early to assess nail and hair strength but I feel I will be purchasing this again as it is the alternative to large ungainly pill supplements that I have been seeking.

Decent flavor and consistency, but unnecessarily high dose of biotin
Despite being marketed as for kids, I got these for myself.The gummies are supposedly raspberry flavored, but I really just tasted the sugar coating. That said, they don’t taste overly sweet. They do smell quite strongly of artificial raspberry. Speaking of artificial, I really like that the red color comes from black carrot concentrate, rather than a red dye. The consistency of the gummies is good too, not chewy but not mushy either. Some gummy vitamins have a bad mouth feel, but these didn’t.They lose a star because they have an unnecessarily high potency that, at best is just wasteful as your body can’t absorb such a high dose so it will be excreted. Excessive biotin intake is unlikely to cause harm on its own, but it may cause false laboratory tests, which could lead to incorrect medical care (according to the National Institutes of Health). The NIH states that an adequate intake of biotin for an adult male is only 30 mcg. This daily supplement, advertised as for kids, contains 2,500 mcg per gummy – over 8,000% of the recommended daily dose.
