Amazing energizing boost and sensitive stomach friendly, but the taste is rough!!!!

This turkey tail mushroom extract arrived tightly sealed in a pouch, and I love that it comes with a tiny scoop. The powder is very fine and dissolves well—even in cold water without clumping. The Pros :When drinking this in the morning, it gives you an almost immediate, clean “feel-good” lift and energizing boost.Gentle on the Stomach: I have acid reflux, and I was so glad that this didn’t trigger my symptoms or irritate my stomach at all.The Cons (The Flavor):Now for the honest truth!!! : Gesh, the taste is pretty terrible on its own. It is hard to describe, but it tastes like a bitter mix of wood and burnt caramel. If you try drinking it in plain water, be prepared to chug it fast or add a few sweet water-enhancer drops! Or, mixing it into a flavorful beverage like juice, tea, or a smoothie completely masks the flavor and makes it totally fine to drink, also stick with the dosage of the scoop, because I found taking any extra is too strong. It is too early to comment on long-term gut or immune benefits, but as far as daily energy and well-being go, the effects are definitely worth pushing past the earthy taste. Highly recommend mixing it into something flavored!

Great in coffee, but awful in plain water!

Product:XPRS Nutra Turkey Tail Mushroom Extract Powder – Premium for Polysaccharides 57%I ordered this Turkey Tail mushroom extract powder to help boost my wellness routine. I’ve only been using it for about two weeks, so it is still a bit too early to speak on any major, noticeable health benefits. That being said, I haven’t experienced any negative side effects or issues either, which is a great start.Fair warning on the flavor: by itself, the taste is absolutely awful. Trying to mix it and drink it in plain water was a terrible experience. However, I did find that it blends into my morning coffee pretty easily and only creates a very slight flavor change that is totally manageable. I’ve also mixed into a smoothie with so so results. In a banana smoothie, it was too strong and made it taste funky. But in a more acidic berry smoothie it blended better.I really appreciate the immune and gut health benefits this product is supposed to impart. While I can’t point to any specific, definitive changes yet, I do feel a little more energetic since I started taking it. Overall, I am mostly happy with this purchase and will definitely keep using it in my coffee every morning!

Good First Experience With Turkey Tail, With One Ingredient Concern

Hello Fellow Amazon Users.I’ve never tried Turkey Tail mushroom extract before, so this is my first experience with this type of supplement. I’ve seen similar mushroom products online before, but I decided to give the XPRS Nutra Turkey Tail Mushroom Extract Powder a try. First, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the 4 oz bag. I expected it to be more like a small sample pouch, but it’s actually a decent-sized package for the price. The bag arrived sealed very securely, with a heavy-duty plastic and foil construction, a strong zipper seal, and an additional heat seal above it. The powder itself was dry, fine, and free of noticeable clumps. I also like that a scoop is included in the bag. The product description calls for one scoop per serving, so having the scoop right inside makes it much easier to measure and use consistently. According to the packaging, there are 226 servings in the bag, which works out to more than seven months of use if taking one serving per day. I started by adding a serving to my morning coffee. The powder mixes surprisingly well with liquids without leaving clumps or a gritty texture. I also tried a little on its own, and it was similarly fine and easy to consume. The aroma when opening the bag reminds me of fresh mushrooms with a slightly powdery, almost baking-powder-like quality. Once mixed into coffee, the flavor reminded me somewhat of powdered non-dairy creamer, and I found it fairly easy to drink. One thing I did notice while looking over the ingredients was the inclusion of a corn-syrup ingredient. That caught my attention because my wife has type 2 diabetes, so she won’t be trying this product. I would have preferred a formulation without that ingredient, especially since this is marketed as a wellness supplement. As far as the claimed health benefits go, I haven’t noticed any dramatic changes after only a short time using it, so I can’t personally say yet whether it delivers the long-term wellness benefits advertised. For now, I’m mainly evaluating the taste, mixability, packaging, and convenience. Overall, this has been a good first experience with Turkey Tail mushroom powder. I like the generous number of servings, included scoop, secure packaging, fine texture, and how easily it mixes into coffee and other liquids. For the amount you get and the price, I think it’s a good value. I’m giving it 4 stars. My main reason for not giving it 5 stars is the corn-syrup ingredient, which means my wife can’t enjoy it with me.

Concentrated turkey tail mushroom extract with high polysaccharide content

I recently picked up the XPRS Nutra Turkey Tail Mushroom Extract Powder, and it has been a versatile addition to my daily wellness stack. Using a 10:1 fruiting body extract ratio standardized to 57% active polysaccharides, this vegan-friendly powder is designed to support immune health and a healthy gut microbiome. The fine powder comes in a secure, heavy-duty pouch complete with a small scoop, and it mixes reasonably well into morning coffee, warm liquids, or smoothies without excessive clumping. While it carries a distinct, earthy mushroom profile on its own, it is an easy and economical way to incorporate medicinal mushrooms into daily routines or recipes. A potent, high-polysaccharide mushroom extract powder that offers great value and versatility!

    Disappointed by the maltodextrin

I like several things about this turkey tail powder. It uses fruiting body extract with a 10:1 extract ratio, and the powder has the expected earthy aroma and a fine consistency. The mixability is also pretty good. It blends reasonably well into warm liquids or morning drinks without excessive clumping or unexpected gritty texture.I mainly use turkey tail for immune and gut support, so I was excited about the concentrated extract. At $20 for a large number of servings, the value for money is good.My main disappointment is the ingredient list. The product is marketed as having “zero additives,” but the label shows 15% organic maltodextrin. I understand that maltodextrin can be used as a carrier during the extraction and drying process, and the amount per serving is small, but I would still prefer a 100% mushroom extract without it. I also do not consider maltodextrin a beneficial gut ingredient.I would also like to see the actual beta-glucan content clearly verified rather than only the total polysaccharide percentage.Overall, I like the quality, aroma, consistency, ease of use, and price of the turkey tail extract itself. I am just disappointed by the lack of transparency around the maltodextrin, especially considering the “zero additives” claim.

    Just OK

This review is for XPRS Nutra Turkey Tail Mushroom Extract Powder. This is supposed to help immune support and be very effective at it. However the ingredients show sugars and other contents that take away from it. I tried mixing it in water, the base way of having this. It does not mix well. Sure you can use other devices that isn’t a spoon, but this should mix better than it did. Overall I can’t recommend this unless you really can get this at a big discount.

Turkey tail mushroom extract powder is legit

One of the more sought out medicinal mushrooms, Turkey Tail is a great addition to my pantry. I make a lot of stews and soups and I always put medicinal mushrooms in them to supercharge them. It’s a great way to hide such powders from finicky eaters, while still giving them the healthful benefits. This is 4 oz of mushroom extract, which is more potent than just powdered mushrooms. It comes with a small scoop inside the bag that approximates a 500 mg dose. And speaking of doses, this little pouch has 226 doses/days worth of powder in it! The smell is mild, almost not noticeable. It does contain one other ingredient: 15% of it is organic maltodextrin. Seems like a lot to me, but I assume that’s what is needed to keep the mushroom particles from clumping. But it is loaded with polysaccharides that are considered to be the medicinal aspect of various mushrooms. One thing that caught my eye is the expiration date on the pack I received. It’s Jan of 27 and I received this in Aug of 26. Not that I believe that the medicinal value will disappear on that date, but six months is the shortest I’ve ever seen. And it’s less than 226 days. Oh well, good stuff at a good value.

Good Turkey Tail Powder, but Check the Ingredients

This turkey tail mushroom extract powder is easy to add to smoothies, coffee, or other drinks. I like that it is vegan-friendly and standardized for 57% polysaccharides. However, I was disappointed to see a corn-syrup ingredient listed in the formula. I expected a mushroom extract powder to have a simpler ingredient list without corn syrup. Anyone who is trying to avoid added sweeteners or corn-derived ingredients should read the label carefully before purchasing.
