“Product of China” is what it says on my Kiwi powder package.Where is this information in the listing? It isn’t in any of the photos. It isn’t in the “See all specifications” area either.Why isn’t there any information about where the ingredients are sourced?I won’t be buying again because I trust NOTHING that comes from China whereas it comes to food items.

Delicate bright subtle flavor with a touch of sweetness.
While I am not a fan of fresh kiwi, I ordered this powder for its potential health benefits. In addition to some vitamins, it purports to have 7 g of fiber per tablespoon. I figured if this powder tastes even OK, that’s another non-chia seed way to get some good fiber into my diet.I was surprised at the very light color of the kiwi powder – it’s a very pale green. See image – I poured some on lined notebook paper. The taste of the fresh powder was actually quite delightful – it’s a very bright flavor, light and not syrupy or overwhelming, with just a touch of recognizable kiwi and a bit of sweetness. I do NOT like very sweet foods, so the flavor of this powder was absolutely perfect for me.I mixed some of the powder into Greek yogurt and was pleased at the touch of sweetness the powder gave the yogurt. Greek yogurt has a bit of a strong taste, and I didn’t detect kiwi flavor in the yogurt. I think the subtlety of this powder’s flavor will make it a nice fiber boost for about any beverage, yogurt of smoothie. I was impressed.

Subtle tropical flavor tastes nice with a honeydew smoothy. Helps me get vitamin k for better vitamin d absorption. Not tart at all and I wish it was a bit less expensive or I’d order it all the time. Right now kiwis are going for a good price at the supermarket but I’ll be back when they’re out of season.

Does not mix well, but tastes good
I’m always looking for ways to add fiber to my diet, and this Xalya kiwi fruit powder was a bit different. I decided to see if the fiber and some nice kiwi flavor would be a good addition to my diet.The nutrition looks very good. One serving is a tbsp, with 40 calories (about 90% from carbohydrates, with some small amount of protein). With 7g of fiber, that’s pretty amazing. There’s also potassium and some am on ubta of vitamins.When I tried mixing the powder in water, I was disappointed. It kind of just clumped and stayed clumped, no matter how much I stirred. The clumps are tasty, but this certainly won’t work as a “water enhancer”. It probably blends better, and I could see it being a good addition to yogurt. The clumps do taste pleasant.Overall, I’m disappointed at the mixability and can’t recommend the product very much, but the flavor and nutrients are very good.

Worked great with a strawberry banana smoothie
Our kids love smoothies and we find then to be a quick and simple way to blast some nutrition into them. We usually make then with some juice or coconut water and a bunch of frozen fruit. Kiwi isn’t something I’ve easily found frozen, and getting them fresh can be pricey, especially if they’re not in season. This powder let’s be add a boost of kiwi whenever I want.The powder is very fine and dusty. A little bit of it puffs out whenever I open the pack. It turns very gluey with just a little moisture, so make sure you use completely dry utensils. Even in the blender there’s usually a couple pockets of wet dust that gets stuck to the wall right above the liquid line. Taste is good and added a noticeable kiwi kick to the mixture. Seems maybe a little more tart than using fresh kiwi, but still delicious.

Lacks Flavor and Nutrients
I do a fruit/protein smoothie several days a week, so am always looking for healthy additions to add some variety to the daily smoothie routine. I enjoy kiwi, so when I saw this Xalya Kiwi Powder I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, this Kiwi Fruit Powder lacks, or fails to list, most of the key ingredients touted on the back of the package.The package states that kiwi powder is a rich source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Potassium, which is great. But when you look at the Nutritional Facts on the package Vitamin C and K are not even listed, and Potassium is only 2% of your RDA so nearly zero.The good news, and the reason I gave it 3-stars, is that it does have 26% of your daily RDA of fiber so is actually a good source of dietary fiber in a supplement. It also does not have any added sugar, has no fat or saturated fat, and has a small 1% protein RDA as a small bonus. The only ingredient listed is Kiwi Fruit Powder, so if that is accurate there are also no additives or fillers.I found the taste to be pleasant, but barely discernible in plain water. It was definitely not bad, but the flavor was very subtle so you are not going to get a huge kiwi taste from this powder. I also found it was difficult to get the powder to dissolve in plain water. Even after stirring for 30+ seconds I had clumps of powder present. So, this would probably be best for smoothies where a blender does the mixing and small clumps are not a deal breaker.Based on the lack of any significant RDA % of anything but fiber, this is a pass for me. But it was not unpleasant, just lacking the vitamins and minerals touted, in any meaningful quantities.
