Wellah Wins Again With Another Fantastic Protein Option!
I’m always on the lookout for good tasting powders that don’t feel like a chore to drink with poor taste or textures. I’ve been really happy with Wellah’s creatine and pre-workout so far, so I figured I’d give their whey protein a try, and it hasn’t disappointed. It’s quickly becoming one of my go-to brands.The strawberries and cream flavor is surprisingly good. A lot of protein powders have a very artificial taste, or just a strange aftertaste. This one doesn’t. It genuinely tastes like strawberries, (though maybe not real strawberries, if that makes sense). It blends really well too, which is important to me. I use it mostly in smoothies with fruit and spinach and it doesn’t leave any grainy residue behind. I’ve even mixed it with just water and it’s palatable.I appreciate that it’s only 100 calories per serving. It makes it easier to fit into my overall daily macros. The fact that it’s naturally sweetened is a bonus as well. I avoid artificial sweeteners whenever possible, so knowing it’s not packed with those things is reassuring. It doesn’t have that overly sweet taste either, which is nice. The addition of prebiotics, enzymes and probiotics is a thoughtful touch. I don’t necessarily feel a huge difference, but it’s good to know I’m getting a little extra gut support with my protein.At $50 for 30 servings, it’s not the cheapest protein powder on the market as you get 20 grams of protein per serving. However, considering its grass-fed whey isolate, and the quality of ingredients, I think the price is fair. It’s also NSF Certified and made in a GMP compliant facility, so I trust where it’s coming from and how it’s being made.Honestly, for a clean protein option that tastes good and mixes well, I’m sold. If you’re one of those looking to gain muscle, stay full or just want a solid clean protein powder, I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot.

Tasty protein powder with clean ingredients
I’ve ordered a number of products from this company and liked them all. I also like that their items are made and tested in the U.S.A. So I had no concerns ordering this whey protein powder – and it didn’t disappoint!When I first opened it, the smell immediately reminded me of a childhood strawberry drink that you would mix into milk. I liked that it didn’t have any “off” or overly chemical smells. I’ve mixed it with both water and milk, and definitely prefer to mix it with milk because that gives it a better mouth feel. There’s something about a drink that my brain thinks should be creamy but isn’t that bothers me. The taste isn’t quite as strong as I’d prefer for drinking something by itself, but it works great if you mix it into a smoothie. I like that it’s not overly sweet and that it uses stevia instead of artificial sweeteners. The other ingredients are excellent as well, from the beet root for color as opposed to artificial dyes, to the prebiotics, enzymes, and probiotics. You don’t get all those “extras” in most protein powders!It mixes about the same as other protein powders we’ve tried (and a lot better than the vegetable-based one we have). I like using a milk frother to mix it, but my son uses a shaker bottle.This particular powder is a little more expensive than many other brands, BUT it says it’s from grass-fed cows and includes those prebiotics, enzymes, and probiotics. If you’re looking for something that has all that together, this is a great option.

Update: I tried to get my husband to drink it. He likes strawberry milkshakes. He tried it and said no 🚫 it isn’t good. So, my assumption was wrong. Next, will see if another person wants it that has different taste buds (likes horchata and boba).This should be okay if you like any strawberry shake. I really wanted a straight up fruity strawberry flavor (not anything milky). My fault for not paying attention to the entire flavor name. I personally can’t tolerate it without adding preworkout or a flavored water packet to change the flavor and a lot of ice.

Great protein and gut health blend
I’ve been going through protein powders for well over a decade everything from the old school chalky blends to the newer “clean” isolates and this Wellah grass fed protein isolate in strawberries and cream is honestly one of the more interesting ones I’ve tried. Not because of the protein itself … that part is pretty standard at around 20 grams per scoop but because of the added prebiotics and probiotics which is something I’ve never really seen.Taste wise it’s not bad at all. Strawberries and cream usually goes one of two ways either artificial candy or weirdly sour but this lands somewhere in the middle in a good way. It’s smooth with perfect sweetness and mixes easily with just a shaker no blender needed. Mixing with the maximum recommended 12 oz of water/milk works out fine. The texture is what you would expect from a whey isolate light. It does not leave that gritty texture some cheaper proteins do. Pretty easy to drink daily without getting sick of it.Where it stands out is digestion. No bloating, no weird side effects. The core benefit of 20 grams isn’t as industry leading, but the blend of the added gut health blend is a fantastic one to throw into my protein rotation. I could do without the xantham gum, but it is way down at the cellar on the ingredients list. Overall it is a high quality blend with clean ingredients.

I have tried several wellah products and all have been a win so far. They have a wide variety of flavors that aren’t always your typical options with protein shakes and the like, so it’s really nice getting to mix it up. Whey isolate is always more expensive than any blend you may buy, so is grass-fed. Always recommend using a shaker bottle, or at least the shaker ball, in a vessel of your choosing. Most powders do not mix the greatest without one. They foam initially but settle if you give them a chance.I try to stay away from sugars, outside of natural sources, and appreciate that I cannot taste the stevia in their products, as I am usually not a fan. The cream was a little less pronounced for me in this blend, but I really do like the taste overall. I prefer almond milk with most protein shakes, but I can use this with half the water, and just drink it concentrated. I have even thrown some fresh lemon juice into the mix and that was also pretty tasty.Never had any adverse effects from any wellah products. 49.99 for 30 servings, but these generally include a little extra. In this case, it’s enzymes and pre/probiotics.

Great taste and no weird texture
I find this easy to use. It tastes great and mixes well. The ingredients are clean with out artificial colors or sweetness. I feel this is a quality protien powder with added probiotics. The health benefits of protien and probiotics keeps my body healthy.
