This is a review for the Vitalibre Maca root capsules.This product comes with 90 pills. At 3 pills a day recommended dosage, this is enough for one month.The amount of extract in 3 pills is 1500mg, but it says that it has the potency of up to 4x the root (making it theoretically the impact of 6000mg of pure root). This was important for me to calculate because I wanted to approach this supplement (as I do with all new ones) with safety in mind.I actually started with just 1 pill a day. There is a slight smell, but nothing that bugged me. No taste. And the pill went down quickly with a gulp of water. When I saw I tolerated it well, I went to 2 pills at a time.During the time I was using this, I wasn’t using it as a daily thing but more as a standard adaptogen that I might take on days when I was potentially more stressed. Especially after a long night with little sleep, I would take 1 or 2 pills to prep me for the day’s events. I’d say that overall it DID help me not overreact to tense situations. And it seemed to help me to stay on task with less energy crash as the day proceeded.It’s definitely not like the energy from a candy bar with its sugar rush or caffeine with that ongoing wired feeling. It was something much more calming and focused. After a night with little sleep, it helped me stay locked on and less sleepy. This was a good thing. I haven’t taken it long enough to see all the benefits, but it does seem to help, even at 2 pills daily, for me.Also nice: It comes with the almost standard clean bill of health for supplements these days: Non-GMO, gluten and nut-free, sustainable farming, and no artificial ingredients. This is a good, potent supplement that delivers exactly the effects I expect from MACA. After taking, I feel more energetic and can think more clearly. This size of pill is easy to swallow – I do it dry, but it’s probably best to do it with water to make sure it reaches your stomach.
