This is a nicely straightforward artichoke supplement without an unnecessarily complicated formula. Each capsule provides 600 mg of artichoke leaf extract, and because the serving size is only one capsule, the 90-count bottle is a full three-month supply. I also appreciate that the amount of artichoke is clearly disclosed rather than hidden in a proprietary blend. The only other ingredients listed are cellulose and magnesium stearate.Artichoke leaf is commonly used for digestive and liver support, so the product makes sense for someone specifically looking to incorporate artichoke into their supplement routine. One thing I would have liked to see, however, is more information about the extract itself. The front emphasizes that it is “highly concentrated” and rich in cynarin, but the Supplement Facts don’t state an extraction ratio or standardized percentage of cynarin. That makes it difficult to judge just how concentrated the extract actually is.At $12 for 90 capsules, the value is excellent at roughly 13 cents per serving. A decent choice for specific issues, but be aware….
I always like to start off supplement reviews stating the following… whenever adding anything new to your nutrition regimen, do a little research first, and check with your healthcare pro to make sure it’s safe for you to take. This is especially important if you’re getting up there in years (like me!)For this supplement, I’ve provided photos, one in particular showing the size of the capsule as compared to a quarter.These capsules were easy to swallow, and for me at least, I didn’t experience any digestive issues.Since they were in capsule form, there wasn’t any taste or after taste.I didn’t experience any side effects that are sometimes common with artichoke extract such as; stomach upset or allergic reaction similiar to seasonal allergies.As far as effectivness is concerned, I didn’t notice anything obvious. While most take this for digestive problems and possible liver health, with me having more than five decades of nutritional knowledge and bodybuilding, I’d say that the effects are probably more readily noticed via bloodwork at your healthcare pro. This is probably not a supplement that will show itself with you doing more reps on the bench press, or you shaving time off your five mile run.For those with specific issues, this might be a decent choice to pursue. But again, as with any supplement, do some research, and check with your healthcare pro, especially if you’re on any medications for stomach problems or blood thinners.Giving it four stars for now.

This is a one capsule a day way to get all the goodness from artichoke in a highly concentrated form. If you don’t like artichoke or find them difficult to prepare, this is an excellent option. There are 90 capsules in a bottle, making it a solid 90-day supply. At $11.99 at the time of this review, it is an excellent value. Artichoke supports digestive health and liver function. This does help with bloating after meals and has definitely supported my digestive health. The ingredients are pretty simple and transparent as listed on the bottle. Just 600 mg of artichoke extract from the leaf and what is need to capsulize and preserve it. No other ingredients. It’s made in the USA from global ingredients, but it doesn’t state where they are sourced from. No odor or unpleasant taste/aftertaste.
