The taste on its own is slightly odd at first, but when mixed with a water flavor, undetectable. There is no odor. I use a milk frother to mix. It mixes with zero lumps. There is no weird textural mouth feel.

I’m extremely disappointed with this collagen powder from Vital Proteins. When I opened and mixed it, the product had visible black specks throughout, which is not normal for an unflavored collagen powder. It should be a clean, uniform off-white—not dotted with dark particles.This raised immediate concerns about contamination or spoilage, so I did not feel safe consuming it. A product marketed for health and skin support should meet basic quality standards, and this did not.I would not recommend purchasing this based on my experience. I plan to request a refund and suggest others inspect their product carefully before using.
