The tastes of the two I received where good. I have had a little better tasting from other manufacturers but these were good. To feel like I got some good energy from these and the packets make it easy to pack in my bags for travel.

MAN OH MAN these things are awesome and hilarious. I’d sometimes have like three a day, which is not recommended i don’t think. But the flavor was cool for both of the flavors. Not like… great…. but cool enough. I think the most hilarious part of this was trying to slurp it from a pouch. I don’t know; doesn’t seem like the best delivery method. But alright none the less. I mean it totally worked for the most part. lol. It was funny.I did feel a sense of energy and excitement around me while taking them, which was nice. I’m not 100% sure that I prefer it to an espresso but on the other hand it’s hard to go on a hike with a hot espresso. Works but gross
It’s probably just me, but these made me gag. I can’t get past the flavor. They give you a boost for sure and not a jittery shaky boost and nice energy. But the flavor is no good for me. You might like it.

Maybe not for everyone
Really wanted to like these, as their convenience and ingredients are really enticing, and the flavors seemed like they would taste good.But unfortunately the flavor of these is pretty awful. They’re both extremely bitter, and the syrup consistency makes consuming these pretty difficult.If these tasted better, it probably wouldn’t be such a problem.Maybe someone would find these enjoyable.

No gimmicks here, this stuff just flat out works
I take one of these pre-workout and another inter-workout . It gives me a ton of energy as I am starting the workout and then a boost mid workout also. They are very convenient because you don’t need a shaker bottle , you just rip open the top and take a drink from the pack. It is straight liquid so be careful when you open the pack not to spill it. The flavor takes some getting used to because it’s so potent. The taste isn’t horrible, just strong . It’s so little amount of liquid that you can just drink it quick if the flavor doesn’t taste good to you. Definitely get this to add it to your pre workout rotation.

This review is for the VITAL 4U® Liquid Energy Shot – Coffee & Chocolate Cherry Combo Pack 24ct.A caveat or two:Unless you have the razor sharp eyes of youth, be sure to look very closely at ALL the info on the back of each packet. The ingredients are in one of the tiniest fonts I’ve ever seen, and the whopping 175mg caffeine content is listed off by itself, just below the UPC. The shrink wrap for the 2 boxes has a suffocation hazard warning, but really should also warn to keep the product itself from getting into the hands of a child. Even adults will need to decide when/if they want such a considerable amount of caffeine, in something that is consumed in just a few seconds. I suppose it could be added to other liquids to achieve a more gradual intake.Flavor and consistency:I’m not really a coffee person at all, but do enjoy the combo of chocolate and cherry. That said, I didn’t find the flavor of either objectionable, although they are quite sweet. While each serving only contains 7g of sugar, that still may be more than some care to consumer if their following a tight low carb regimen. Again, adding a packet to some other liquid could be a good way to ease the sweetness.As you’ll see in the video, it’s just a tad more viscous than water, but not quite to the level of cough syrup.The ginseng is particularly noticeable, at least to my taste buds, in the chocolate/cherry variety, while the coffee version was the sweetest of the two. I usually find caffeinated products to be very bitter, but it really wasn’t that noticeable in this case. I didn’t specifically seek out ginseng as an ingredient, but I do like the fact it essentially has a B vitamin complex component to the ingredients.Value:The price of this combo pack is a bit jarring at first, but when you consider that it breaks down to about $1.75 (as of this writing) per foil container, it seems much more reasonable, coming in less than the average single energy drink one might purchase in a grocery or, “wallet forbid”, in a convenience store.Personal experience:Before realizing the caffeine level, I tried one of these around 4pm. Fortunately, it only had the effect of making me more alert than I otherwise would’ve been, at the end of a long work day. It did not give me any problems that night. Obviously, everyone’s reaction to caffeine is strictly individual. Just keep that 175mg of caffeine dosage in mind.This sort of product will be a “once in a great while” solution for me, and is certainly convenient to have on hand, not requiring any prep or refrigeration.
