I’m not 100% satisfied with this Vitacook Magnesium Complex, Magnesium Glycinate, Taurate, Malate, 120 Caps 120 mg | 420 mg Elemental Magnesium, High Absorption, 100% Daily Value, for Heart, Nerve & Relaxation Support, Vegan, Non GMO. Frankly, writing this review took longer than normal because I struggled with expressing both my satisfaction and dissatisfaction. I’ve had many great experiences and noticeable results from other Vitacook products, but I’ve also had two recent not-so-great events take place.This Vitacook Magnesium Complex looks exactly as promised in the listing images and text. The bottle seal was excellent. There were no weird label issues or substances on the seal, as experienced with another recent Vitacook supplement that I had to toss in the trash. I’ve had no difficulty taking this product. I’m not yet showing clear results, but I sometimes need months to see improvement from supplements. In terms of affordability at the time of this writing, this magnesium complex is on par with similar supplements available elsewhere.The main problem I have is with the lack of detailed information on this page and the label about the specific labs that provided efficacy and quality certifications. Even the company’s website fails to go into specifics. At the very least, I’d like to see a USP certification seal on the label. I know that many manufacturers of supplements never provide details, but… given my past negative experiences, I can’t just accept the general “lab tested” statement any longer.For these reasons, I consider this magnesium complex supplement only a good value. I dropped the rating by only one level instead of two because I haven’t had a negative physical experience with it.

Good Magnesium Supplement
I have been using a Magnesium Glycinate variant in my daily routine for some time as I feel it helps me relax and calms my nerves. This Vitacook Magnesium Complex comes in an easy to swallow capsule and they leave no aftertaste and don’t upset my stomach. Note that these are actually 140MG capsules so it takes 3 a day and makes this a 40 day supply. That being said the price is still competitive so I will recommend this product.

After reviewing magnesium formulas with five forms, seven forms and enough ingredients to make a small chemistry department jealous, this Vitacook formula is almost refreshingly simple. Three forms of magnesium. That’s it…glycinate, taurate and malate. And honestly, I like that.Magnesium glycinate is probably the most familiar of the three and is popular in supplements aimed at relaxation and nighttime support. Magnesium malate is often included in formulas geared toward muscle and energy support, while magnesium taurate brings another interesting form into the mix.So instead of throwing every form of magnesium known to mankind into one bottle, Vitacook picked three and stuck with them. The 120 capsule bottle is also a nice size, although I would definitely check the serving size on the Supplement Facts before assuming how long it will last. That’s one of those little details that can make a surprisingly big difference when comparing magnesium products.One thing I particularly appreciate with magnesium supplements is seeing the actual elemental magnesium amount clearly stated. The weight of the magnesium compound itself isn’t the same thing as the amount of elemental magnesium you’re getting, so that’s the number I pay attention to when comparing products.I also like the idea of having glycinate, malate and taurate together because you’re getting different forms without turning your daily supplement routine into a game of “How many capsules can I swallow before breakfast?” And after reviewing enough magnesium products, I’ve come to a conclusion…I don’t necessarily need a magnesium formula with seven different forms. Great value magnesium supplement
The Vitacook Magnesium Complex arrived fully sealed in a fairly sizable bottle. Not a surprise considering it contains 120 capsules. A recommended serving is three capsules of reasonable size. I had no issues swallowing them and experienced no discomfort from the supplement itself. The magnesium blend appears to hit a number of different magnesium types, with a good amount including in a serving. I’ve taken a number of more expensive magnesium complex supplements and this one is leads the way in terms of value.

Three types of magnesium in one small capsule
I take magnesium daily. I usually rotate among several different types of magnesium. This magnesium supplement by VitaCook contains three of the types that I already take – magnesium malate, magnesium glycinate, and magnesium taurate. VitaCook is a well-known supplement company and is generally considered reputable. This product contains a total of 420 mg per serving of magnesium, comprised of the three types. However, the amount of each type of magnesium is not broken down. I would like to know this information. According to the label, this product helps promote relaxation and calmness, and supports energy, nerves, and heart. The label does not tell us where this product is made. I would like to know this. I would prefer that it was made in the USA, but since it doesn’t say that, I assume that it is not. The recommended dosage is three capsules per day, preferably with food. Therefore, each capsule contains 140 mg of magnesium. This product is non-GMO, GMP lab tested, and gluten-free. It also does not contain soy, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, artificial flavors or preservatives. I am happy with all of this information. The 120 capsules come in a dark plastic bottle with a screw on lid. The bottle is filled up about 2/3 of the way, and contains a desiccant packet to remove moisture. There is a cellophane seal over the lid, and a very tight seal under the lid. The capsules are about 3/4″ long, and are on the small side compared to other magnesium supplements that I have taken. Swallowing them is very easy. This bottle should last 40 days if I take three per day as recommended. I am confident that this magnesium will be beneficial to my health, although I would like to know the country of manufacture, and also the amount of each type of magnesium.
