Lots of ingredients, some way too much, some not enough
This supplement has many ingredients included in my regular Areds2 supplements, which are prescribed by a physician in my case, and many additional ingredients that are not included in Areds2 supplements, for example, Vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin K, vitamin B6, folate, B12, iron and magnesium. Plus there’s a “proprietary blend” of of 1288 mg per 3-capsule dose of at least 9 other ingredients, some of them also in Areds2, but many not, but without any indication of how much of each ingredient is included. This could be useful, but instead of using it as a substitute for Areds2, I’ll add one capsule of each to my Areds2 supplements, once every day, meaning this jar will last me 3 months. But it can’t replace Areds2, because it doesn’t have everything I need, and on some cases it has far too much of the ingredients included. In one case (copper) it includes less than the dose in Areds2 on each 3 capsule “dose.”

Eye Supplement ~ High Vitamin A and Folic Acid Raise Concerns
I’ve been using the Tree of Life Herb for Eyesight supplement for a short time, but after further research on the ingredients, I found that it not ideal for me to take daily or at the suggested dose. The formula includes beneficial ingredients like lutein and zeaxanthin for eye health, but there are a few concerns with some of the other components.The high dose of folic acid (2000 mcg) is much higher than the recommended daily intake. It’s also a synthetic form which may be difficult to metabolize for some. This high of folate has the potential to lead to neuropathy (nerve damage). Additionally, the formula contains 2000 mcg of vitamin A (as retinyl acetate), which seems quite high. I’m concerned about potential buildup over time, especially with long-term use, as excessive vitamin A can lead to toxicity.The supplement includes a proprietary blend with ingredients like ginkgo biloba and cayenne powder, but the exact dosages aren’t listed, making it hard to gauge their effectiveness. Many of these are unique to an eye formula. I’ll now be cautious about the vitamin A and folic acid. I will likely take just one pill every other day. They are easy to swallow and I need to eat with them. Though this supplement offers value, it also seems that it has some risks involved. I will use it with care.

Good ingredients, prop blend
I like the ingredients but don’t like that this supplement comes with a prop blend. Unfortunately, we don’t know how much of each ingredient is included in a prop blend. Good vitamins that should aid with eyesight though.

Easy to swallow.
This supplement comes in easy to swallow capsules. I have not noticed any effects good or bad while taking this supplement. I took them hoping they would help with my age related lens issues, but unfortunately that does not seem to be the case.

Unusual blend, though I wish it had luteinUnusual blend, though I wish it had lutein
I try to take a specialty vitamin for eye health, usually lutein. I gave this product a try to see if it’s suitable for replacing my other eye supplements. Since it does not contain lutein, I can’t use it as a replacement though it may have use as an additional supplement. I have taken them with meals and between meals without any stomach irritation or discomfort. Note that the serving size is 3 capsules, and these are pretty large capsules. I did not have trouble swallowing them but if you do have trouble with capsules, taking these 3x daily and with their size may take some practice. They are smooth and coated. There is an odd odd-flavor to them, though it doesn’t linger. For the price, this seems kind of high for just a 30 day supply.
