Verisana redeems itself: updated review
UPDATE: Verisana now has generously offered to more than make me whole.Initially I reported … “Got the B-12 test, used it, packaged it, sent it to the lab, and waited … the package was mailed 5/15/2023, picked up 5/17/2023. It is now 5/28/2023. The Verisana web site does not even show the package was received by the lab. And consequently, the web site does not have any test results. I’ll admit the sample did not completely fill the test strip to the required level; but, if the sample could not be used, the web site still should have indicated that the sample was received, and Verisana by now, should have told me something about my test.”ADVICE: If you have issues with Verisana, contact its customer service (contact@verisana.com) and it will help rectify the problems.

Quick and simple
This test kit is very well organized. The instruction are well written and easy to follow.It took 4 days from the time I dropped the envelope in the mail to the time the results appeared in the portal.The portal displays the results clearly. The results can be downloaded as a zipped PDF file.

my sample was declared hemolitic and thus unusable, mostly because of shipping time!
The first sample was declared hemolytic because I did it wrong (touching the sample paper with my bleeding-but-not-dripping finger), but they sent me another sample and I did it right, but the second sample was still declared hemolytic. Then I looked it up on the web, and found the samples can be declared hemolytic because of too many days passing between when the sample was taken and when the sample was analyzed. Well, I mailed my second sample on a Friday, and I got the news that it was hemolytic again on the following Wednesday. So not only was there a mailing delay because of the weekend, but there seemed to be a couple-day processing delay at their plant, and those two things combined to make the sample hemolytic. So they finally refunded me the purchase price, because I didn’t have hope that future samples would work any better.The instructions never spelled out that you can touch the sample paper with your finger, so my first sample was wrong because of inadequate instructions. But the second sample was wrong because of all the shipping plus processing delays. So I don’t put much faith in the product.

Terrible !
I took the test as instructed and sent it back tje same day in the pre-packaged envelope and dropped it at USPS. I sent 3 letters out the same day with that package and those letters were delivered but somehow Verisana didn’t get the package, highly unlikely!!! They asked me if I had the tracking #. Umm- it’s your pre-paid envelope I didn’t rbink to write down the tracking number! How did they not have their own tracking number associated with an order !? I am so disgusted. I read the reviews online which were mostly terrible amongst the few decent reviews. So I’m hoping for my $ back because this was a waste of time and extremely frustrating! How about that they don’t disclose to you that the Lab is in Germany. So you expect me to send a sample over the ocean and not worry of it to get lost along the way? Horrible experience. No idea what happened but really looking for my $ back at the very minumum.

I’ve recently felt sluggish and didn’t want to have to take my young child into a doctors office for a blood test. I ordered this one and it arrived quickly. You can take the test in the convenience of your own home and wait for your results. It was quick and easy and I would def recommend.
