I opened the bottle and several capsules had opened up and were empty. Oil had leaked everywhere. All capsules are now greasy. I’m not willing to even try them. They are going in the garbage.

I ordered this because it was USDA organic and I take fish oil supplements. It is nice because I don’t burp fishy aftertaste with this product. I broke a capsule open do examine the contents. It is oil like it says, but it is clear. This usually indicates that it is highly refined. Even when it is, flaxseed oil is still a light yellow color. I could not find much about the supplement company. It is made in the USA. It is easy to swallow and doesn’t upset my stomach when taken without food. The capsules have a strange air bubble in them that I haven’t noticed with other omega supplements. This may be a good thing!

My aunt recommended flaxseed over 20 years ago due to the heart disease that runs in our family. I took her advice and bought the whole seeds.Unfortunately, I am a very picky eater…could not stand the taste and texture.That led me to flaxseed in pill form. Problem solved! I occasionally have junk food, don’t walk every single day, but still have a very healthy heart.I don’t want to claim it is totally the flaxseed, but it seems it does contribute to leaning towards a healthy lifestyle.These were ordered because they are organic. Over the last five years or so, adding more and more organic to my diet seems to have helped keep me in good health.Along with the organic properties (USDA certified), the size of the pill is much better than my regular brand. Those are huge to choke down, while this Nurtrigent brand are smaller and much easier to swallow.One of the other benefits of flaxseed oil I can attest to is its ability to keep you regular. Nice smooth BMs with regular use.This brand is a little pricey compared to others, but it’s worth it to have the certification and the organic properties.Some of these supplements on the shelf these days you don’t know what you are getting!

I got these organic flaxseed oil capsules primarily for my potbelly pig who struggles with dry skin. The capsules are just shy of the length of a quarter (you can see that in my photos). When mixed in with her food she eats them right up with no hesitation.I tried them myself and found them to be easy to swallow and they have a very neutral flavor. When you first open the bottle there is a noticeable scent of oil. The capsules are plant based, so they are vegan friendly! Perfect for my pig and for anyone avoiding gelatin. I’m hoping to see some improvement in her skin after 30 days, but even if it’s gradual, it’s worth the try for the quality and convenience. One other thing to mention is that the label states they are made in the USA and that they are made in an FDA registered facility. This tells me they should be a quality supplement!
