Seems to be as expected, but of course not a substitute for fresh

This Unleash’d Organic Wheatgrass Powder 16 oz is so far a good experience. I have bought wheat grass powder several times before from various brands, to be able to compare. I also have bought Unleash’d vegetable powders before, although I’ve never tried their wheat grass. At times I struggle with fresh produce going bad, so I find having a variety of frozen and also dried produce is really helpful to have on hand year round. Additionally, although I do grow a lot of plants myself and do tend to grow my own wheat grass, there are times when one can use a supplement, because weather or pests may have harmed a crop, or one ran out of seeds for a while. I find powders like this really helpful, because even though they’re never going to be as beneficial as fresh, at least one can still get some micronutrients in here and there, or easily add color or flavoring to things in a natural way, etc. I often put a mix together of wheat grass powder, chlorella, spirulina, and other powders like broccoli or spinach, etc., and keep that in a canister to sprinkle on air-popped popcorn daily with some olive oil and sea salt and pepper. It’s actually really good, and a simple way to have a healthy fast dry crunchy snack. I usually have improved circulat ion for the next hours after eating it.Things like this can also be added to a drink, or a soup or cooked meal – but I would caution you not to cook it or freeze it, but instead add it afterward just before eating – as already something dried loses a lot of nutrients, and then if you cook it after that, there is barely going to be any nutrition left and renders it rather pointless except to color food with.This particular powder does indeed seem to be as good quality as other organic wheat grass I’ve tried, tastes roughly like the real plant although not exactly, and does not seem to have any other ingredients added in. It has good color, which is much stronger green if added to water or oils. I am someone who is unusually sensitive to certain antioxidants and also to additives, due to a condition, and so I can often tell if something has unlabeled fillers, or if it has benefit, from a pretty quick positive or negative reaction to it. I am not at all prone to place bo effect, as I sample things like this as a part of my daily life. I did find this to slightly improve my circulat ion soon after taking, although not as much as with the fresh cut grass. The taste is… well, pretty green so to speak, so you’ll need to be open to or used to that.Be mindful that some people who have sensitivity to grasses, might not be ok to take this. It is also possible, but not terribly common, to have an issue with this if you are sensitive to wheat. For someone who has a really serious problem with that, this is just not going to be worth the risk.This appears to be a product of California, and also carries a concerning Prop 65 warning on it. That is obviously worrying, but I have to say that the same warning is on nearly every item of my dry foods unfortunately, and most other things I order. It seems very difficult to fully avoid this in our present world.Though more convenient, this is more expensive than growing your own fresh.

GREAT quality and freshness! No extra ingredients, great taste. As far as effectiveness, I haven’t really noticed a difference in energy, sleep quality, or digestion, but I take a lot of different things already.

Large quantity bag of wheatgrass powder!

I started getting into using wheatgrass with my overnight oats every morning, so I’ve encountered a small gamut of good and nasty tasting products. This one is pretty neutral to me, in the sense that I know I’m enjoying wheatgrass but there’s nothing overpowering about it. The powder itself is pretty finely ground, so it mixes into whatever I’m adding it to. Not every product of its kind has been this easy to use, so I’m happy about that. A little bit does seem to go a long way for me, and I’ve been digesting it very easily with no upset stomach. I wouldn’t say that my energy level is affected at All by wheatgrass, but the extra fiber in my diet is definitely helping and I feel pretty good about that. That’s a plus for me, so I may gradually start adding a little more. As for quantity, I am probably going to have this package around for several months. It’s a generous size, in an easily resealable sturdy bag. While I’m not thrilled about the plastic, I realized that there are very few choices out there anymore so you have to deal with what you get. I’ve gotten a few other items from this brand, and everything seems to be very fresh and of good quality! A great value to me, and I recommend trying it.
