Because maximizing absorption is important to me, I always prioritize ordering products that include BioPerine. This Ultra Potency Turmeric Curcumin is very good, delivering optimal bioavailability through its 1950mg complex with 95% standardized curcuminoids and BioPerine to offer highly effective, natural support for joint mobility, immune health, and overall antioxidant defense.The bottle arrived securely sealed with an expiration date of 11/28, and the orange capsules themselves are similar to most turmeric supplements in that they are a little big. Although they are easy to swallow, I don’t like the fact that you need to take 3 pills a day. Both the bottle and the product website page note that this product is made in the USA, fully tested for quality and purity, and that the vegetarian capsules are non-GMO, gluten-free, and free of artificial flavors or preservatives. Because I have been using turmeric for such a long time, I won’t be able to evaluate the specific effectiveness of this bottle. Turmeric, and especially curcumin, is one of those supplements I like for its potential anti-inflammatory benefits. I also specifically look for formulas that include black pepper extract, since piperine is commonly included to improve curcumin absorption.On paper, I like quite a bit about this formula. It combines turmeric root with a concentrated extract standardized to 95% curcuminoids, and it includes BioPerine black pepper extract. The ingredient list is short and relatively clean, without a bunch of unnecessary extras. The label also states that it is non-GMO, lab tested, and manufactured according to GMP standards, all of which are things I look for when choosing supplements.The capsules are a normal size and I haven’t had any difficulty taking them. I also haven’t noticed any unpleasant aftertaste or stomach issues.The biggest downside is the serving size. You need three capsules per day, so despite there being 60 capsules in the bottle, this is only a 20-day supply. I didn’t like that there were only 20 servings per bottle. This means I’ll run out in 20 days!! Why not make a 30 day supply, that would be much more convenient. Also I didn’t like having to take 3 capsules of just this one supplement. The capsules are average size and easy to swallow. I liked that there were 2 types of turmeric and 1 of them was standardized, so I felt confident I was getting something. I liked that the capsule blend included black pepper extract because I know you can’t really absorb turmeric without it. I feel confident that I am getting a quality supplement. I like all the testing and that it is NON GMO. I look for those things when I chose a supplement. I did not experience any stomach upset or after taste, I thought the capsule had a very mild, pleasant smell. I am familiar with the benefits of turmeric So I think this is a good, effective product. It is in the price range of similar products so my main issue is the small amount of capsules in the bottle.
