Disappointing and messy.
I have been taking Turmeric daily for years and was looking forward to trying a new brand.This turmeric has a manufacture date of 1/2025 and a expiration of 12/2026 so already 15 months old.There was orange staining on the label.The foil safety seal is very thin and even though still attached; it was just barely so, it came off with the slightest effort.There were several cotton balls stuffed inside the bottle, all covered in orange powder that are impossible to remove without getting turmeric all over your fingers.There were no strange smells, and the turmeric itself comes in clear caplets.I will not be getting more.There were several cotton balls inside the bottle that were saturated with orange powder

Turmeric is a deep, golden-orange spice known for adding color, flavor and nutrition to foods. A relative of ginger, turmeric comes from the rhizome (root) of a native Asian plant and has been used in cooking for hundreds of years. It has also been used in ayurvedic and other forms of traditional medicine in China and India. However, as wonderful as turmeric’s nutritional benefits can be, more curcumin is not necessarily better, and too much can be risky. Curcumin and other active ingredients are not bioavailable, meaning they are not easily absorbed by the body. Also, the digestive process breaks these beneficial compounds down and eliminates them quickly. Turmeric supplements can lessen the effects of indomethacin, aspirin, ibuprofen, or acetaminophen.So why four stars?As a spice, I use tumeric with regularity. Combined with black pepper when cooking provides the nutritional benefits you can get without the downside of capsules. Still, if you limit your capsule use and alternate it with tumeric spice (and black pepper) in cooking, you may achieve the benefits one desires.Four stars.

My husband has been using this supplement for about a week, maybe a day or so less, so not very long. However, it’s been long enough for him to realize if it would upset his GI tract with heartburn, indigestion, bloating, or irritation, etc… and he hasn’t noticed any effects like that.He does feel that it may be helping his elbow pain. He’s had this pain for quite a while, so less than a week’s worth of supplements isn’t probably going to do the trick quite yet. However, he did hurt his back the other day and was hurting pretty bad. He was very pleased when he noticed the next day that he was feeling fine.This turmeric has black pepper included which is good as black pepper helps your body absorb the turmeric. The directions for use state to take one capsule once a day with lukewarm water. I’ve never seen instructions telling you to take something with lukewarm water. I don’t know why that is, how does the lukewarm water help? I’ll have to research this and figure that out. This capsule really should be taken with food and with a fat. Fat also helps absorb turmeric into the body. So taking this with a meal with some kind of fat, such as butter, tallow, avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil, etc…will help this absorb as well.The capsules go down easily. They’re not too large, maybe a tad wider than a penny. If you have trouble swallowing capsules, you can open these and sprinkle them on your food (turmeric itself is a spice.)This bottle I have was manufactured in January 2025, so this is already over a year old. However, the expiration date isn’t until December 2026. I prefer my supplements to be a little bit more fresh than this. So this is just a reminder to always check the expiration date before you buy the product, if you’re able to. If you’re buying online, check the expiration date when you receive the product and make sure it’s going to be within the freshness date before the supplement is finished.Honestly, I’m not sure of the quality of this product because I’ve never heard of this brand, and I haven’t looked into them. I’m just going to say if the product does not upset my husband’s system and it does help with his back and elbow pain, then it is worth ordering again.FYI, there was some sort of manufacturing sticker on the side of the label. I removed it and took an additional picture in case any of the information I wanted to share was being blocked by the sticker.The bottle contains 60 capsules and is a two month supply. This is long enough to determine if this supplement will work for you. If it does work for you, this is a good bargain.

My bottle arrived with no seal around the outside, but a VERY tight seal under the cap preserving its contents. It took a good amount of effort to break into. I appreciate how strong it was sealed, but some folks may need to use a sharp tool to open this up. Inside the bottle is a large cotton ball for protection, as well as a dessicant pack. The pills themselves are normal sized capsules. The expiration date on my bottle is nearly 2 years out, which is plenty of time to run through the 60 doses. I must note that the scent from the bottle/pills as well as the coloration on the cotton is distinctly turmeric. Some other packs just look orange, but these leave no doubt in my main that turmeric is certainly the main ingredient. My only concern with these is the poor value for the money. At 33 cents per pill, these are 3-6x the price of other brands, even well known brands. I am happy with the quality and would gladly purchase these again – just not anywhere near the current price. There isn’t any benefit I can see that would make these worth such a large price difference.

Turmeric is a wonderful supplement to reduce inflammation. A nice natural alternative to over the counter NSAID medications.However there are a bunch of Turmeric supplements out there that are cheap or lower dose or even high dose but not well absorbed.The good about this product is that it does include 10mg of black pepper, to help with absorbability. Typically supplements include 5mg, this one has 10…so thats good.Another thing about Turmeric is that its very yellow and staining. As you can see from the images, these pills are a nice vibrant dark yellow.However, I was disappointed when I opened this bottle to see that the cotton ball inside was stained yellow, and the inside of the bottle had turmeric dust. Indicating that either some capsules were broken (which I didnt see any broken ones yet), or that the overall quality of the manufacturing is sloppy. A good quality turmeric manufacturing would not leak turmeric all over so that the pills, bottle and cotton are covered in turmeric powder.This is a red flag for me in terms of supplement quality.Another thing about these is that they CLAIM to be only 400mg (more on that later). Turmeric itself is not very well absorbed, which is why they include black pepper to help with absorption. They do state that the turmeric included is 95% curcuminoids (which is the active stuff you want). So that is good.Ideally you’d want 800-1500mg of turmeric in a serving. Sure you can take 2 capsules to get (almost) 800mg, however I’m not sure I trust how well that would be absorbed based on the manufacturing quality and the misleading advertising (I’ll get to that).There are better options out there at 1/2 the price (or less) per serving.I’ve mentioned misleading advertising. These pills are marketed as 400mg of turmeric. Cut and paste from the product page says “Pure Turmeric Curcumin – Each capsule contains 400 mg of Turmeric (Curcuma longa) extract.”However if you look at the label, this is NOT TRUE.The label clearly states that each capsule includes:Turmeric 390 mgBlack Pepper 10 mgFor a total of 400 mg of “stuff” per capsule. But NOT 400 mg of Turmeric per capsule as they claim.Again this is a huge red flag. Why would they advertise 400mg of Turmeric, and then clearly write that it has less than 400 mg. Sure 10mg out of 400 is not a huge deal, you’re not going to notice it. But I do notice misleading lies.This just makes me not trust this company. Now if the price of these were super cheap, and I could just take 3 pills to think Im getting just over 1000mg, then it might be fine. But the price is pretty high compared to other more reputable companies with over 1000mg per serving.Why risk it? There is no valid reason to pick this Turmeric over another brand. Based on Quality, Price, Trustworthiness…I would not order these again. I would not recommend these to anyone to order. Order something else.I was going to give this 2 stars for the color of the turmeric and the 10mg of black pepper, there are some good things here…but not for this price, not for this strength, and not for the misleading advertising…so I dropped it to 1 star to indicate you should not order this.

Seems to WorkSeems to Work
After using it for a couple weeks I do feel I have improvement in my join pains, not substantial but I do feel something has improved. Easy to swallow and doesn’t have a bad taste. No weird after effects and the quality seems to be good. Definitely recommend it.
