I really notice the difference when I haven’t had my liquid calcium. As long as I have had it I feel strong and can easily hike for an hour or two without aches and pains. If I haven’t had it, I feel the aches and pains and usually quickly realize, “Oh! I didn’t have the liquid calcium!” I’ve tried pill form in the past and it simply doesn’t get absorbed into my body. Calcium is best absorbed with a little extra vitamin C. My trio includes this DELICIOUS liquid calcium, while absorbing a Nature’s Plus Love Buff (vitamin C chewable tablet that is buffered with calcium, to make it easier on the tummy), and an additional 250 mgs. (not more!) chelated magnesium (I use Country Life). I LOVE this product and have been using it for more than a decade or two. I’ll be 60 this year and the only other supplement I take is (just started in the past few days) a liquid D3. When my son was born (almost 5 years ago) I noticed that I could no longer take multivitamins as I clearly am getting adequate nourishment from the fresh organic foods I eat. Great Liquid Supplement – Easily Absorbed In The Body

Although I’m a 52 year-old male, my body does not hold calcium very well. I like the idea of taking a Liquid Calcium, Magnesium and Vitamin D blend, as the 3 work together, providing a powerful bio-availability impact. Being in Liquid Form is ideal too, so it can more easily absorb. The taste is good as well, but that it not my main concern. I just want a healthy calcium supplement that works. Tropical Oasis Liquid Calcium and Magnesium, with Vitamin D3, Boron and Aloe Vera, seems to be doing just that! I’m happy that there are 64 Servings per container, so this is a 2-month supply, which is quite economical.

I had parathyroid surgery about a 15 months ago. An important function of the parathyroid glands is the regulation of calcium in the blood. One of my glands was signaling to put too much calcium into my blood.After the surgery I had difficulty swallowing and speaking for months. Further, I now need to take calcium supplements. Through this experience I found most calcium pills are rather large but their absorption rate is low. In any case, I found the pills I got almost impossible to swallow and my doctor said my calcium was getting too low.I decided to try liquid calcium. I tried two of the brands available on Amazon. The first required refrigeration in our already overcrowded refrigerator and the taste was all that great. Tropical Oasis doesn’t take up space in the fridge and the taste is acceptable.Notes:1. The solution does settle and needs to be shaken vigorously. By the time I’ve reached the end of the liquid there still seems to be a fair amount of “goop” left. I have tried to no avail to add water to get every bit of calcium. The manufacturer should address this.2. One serving, a tablespoon, is 37% of the recommended Daily Requirement of Calcium, so factor that into your dietary needs. I usually take two tablespoons.Far more importantly to me: my last three check ups have my calcium blood level in the normal range.

I like this a lot.One reason is I’m 100% more likely to take this every day than I was when I tried to swallow less pleasant pills to get the same claimed dose of calcium. This is more pleasant and always sits easy on my stomach which pills aren’t and don’t.Plus I can break this down into smaller amounts taken more often during the day instead of one big jolt once a day. And I’m convinced that small amounts taken more often during the day are more easily and completely absorbed.BUT … Beware. This arrives with 95% of the calcium coagulated into a brick ant the bottom of the bottle. So be sure to get something like a wooden spoon with a long handle to break it up. Because you really can shake it till your arm falls off … thinking it must be fully mixed … and if you poke around the bottom find most still glopped in the bottom … or worse yet, not realizing it’s not fully mixed until you take it all and find the calcium sill stuck in the bottom.A drawback. But worth the effort.Once you break it up and get it all mixed the first time, all that’s required is normal shaking thereafter.If it was my company I’d offer to include a strong stirring stick with each order. Make it optional, so we’d only need to add it when we first buy it, or … grin … lose the last stick. Because I’ll bet all bad reviews will be the result of people not realizing that “Shake Well Before Using” really means shaking it as violently, and as long, as like those 100 Horse Power paint shakers used in paint stores shake paint you take off the shelf before you take it home.Added: 4/5An alternative to a 100 hp paint shaker is a long handled wooden spoon. I hope the picture I attached shows well.Because It can’t stress enougha) How great I think it is to be able to take large calcium in a liquid form I can spread through out the day, andb) how terribly you will be disappointed you will be if you start by just “shaking it well”. You really won’t understand unless you poke a stick into the bottom when it first arrives to see how truly dense Calcium is when it falls out of suspension. I mean that’s why you take it … so it resettles as bone. But a long handled wooden spoon is the perfect tool.You might also look at it’s sister liquid mineral which is also easier to take and spread out.
