Tribulus Terrestris supplement. 50,000mg equivalent
I wanted to be able to say WHY you’d want to take this Tribulus Terrestris supplement, but since, as the internet says, “scientific evidence for most of the claims is mixed or lacking”, I don’t want to have anyone come after me for making false claims, you know?I can say that this supplement is often INCLUDED in male enhancement herbal remedies and those focused on improving ‘performance’, but even NusaPure won’t list any such claims on their bottle, so I’m not saying anything…Just what I received, and if you’re looking for this supplement, I assume you’ve done your research as to why you’d feel it could be useful.It’s a 50:1 extract making the 1000mg contents equivalent to 50,000mg. The herb comes as a vege-cap encased powder, so if you’re good with swallowing pills, these shouldn’t be any issue, but if you’re like me, you’ll probably just open the capsules up and add the powder to a daily smoothie ;)NusaPure lists a number of quality specifics for their manufacture, and some details for the saponins, but until I’ve had a chance to try this out, I can only say it looks promising :)There are 120 capsules in the bottle, and with a recommended 2 capsules/day dosage, that’s a 2 month supply, so that should be long enough for me to see if there’s some noticeable benefit achieved.Now, we begin the testing phase 😉

A nice extract that packs a lot of quality ingredients into one capsule
I must admit that I didn’t know much about Tribulus Terrestris before I picked these capsules up. After doing a little bit of research, I found that taking them is an effective way for me to retain and renew my energy and overall brain health. They are highly effective and good strength, don’t have an off-putting taste, and are easy to swallow with milk or another liquid like water.

Okay, on the fence a little about this one. I was initially impressed with the potential of 50:1 strength but I didn’t really find the results I was expecting after taking the full bottle over time. While taking as instructed I found I didn’t see the results I have seen with supplements with more than 1g of the same ingredient. Now, having said that, I believe folks will find some benefit from it, and the cost is a good deal. I felt fine after taking this supplement, the quality is there and comparable to other products from NusaPure. Made in USA as advertised. No odor, no taste honestly. I had no issues with BP with is something I monitor regularly.

Strong Tribulus formulation; effects to be determined
Tribulus terrestris has a number of claimed health benefits. Most people have probably heard of it in connection with male sexual health. The label on this bottle of Tribulus terrestris capsules makes no claim other than “Supports nutritional supplementation,” which is pretty vague.The strength of these particular capsules sounds impressive: the equivalent of 50,000 mg. But what you actually get is 1000 mg of a Tribulus terrestris 50:1 extract. I have no way to evaluate the statement that that is “equivalent” to 50,000 mg, but again, it sounds pretty good.The only other active ingredient is BioPerine, a black pepper extract. I know that black pepper is considered a potentiator or amplifier of other ingredients, which is why it’s included in many different supplements. The label says this is a “high absorption” formula, which I guess is based on the presence of the BioPerine.The capsules are fairly large (see photo). I personally have no problem swallowing them. Some people might. There are 120 capsules in the bottle, giving a 60-day supply at 2 capsules daily.My research into Tribulus terrestris revealed that some studies do suggest benefits for sexual function, not only in men but also in women. Research specifically into its efficacy as a testosterone booster is inconclusive. Similarly inconclusive or mixed are studies of Tribulus for enhancing athletic performance, lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels, acting as a pain reliever, improving memory, regulating blood pressure and treating infertility in men and women. Most trials have been in animals, but there are many avenues here where human clinical trials would be helpful.I am not able to report on any particular effects from taking these Tribulus capsules so far. I am giving a high rating because of the formula (strong amount of Tribulus coupled with black pepper extract for absorbability). If I later experience effects that I can definitely attribute to this product, I’ll come back and add to this review.

Quality Formula But Didn’t Deliver Expected Results
This is a good supplement with impressive standardization and quality manufacturing, but I didn’t feel the effects like I have with similar tribulus terrestris supplements I’ve used in the past. The 50:1 extract ratio equivalent to 50,000mg sounds potent on paper, and the 95% steroidal saponins standardization is exactly what you want to see for quality tribulus.The formulation appears solid with the addition of BioPerine black pepper extract to enhance absorption. This is a smart inclusion since it can improve the bioavailability of herbal compounds. The vegan capsules, non-GMO certification, and cGMP facility manufacturing all indicate proper quality standards.The 120 veggie capsules providing a 60-day supply offers good value for a highly concentrated extract. Two capsules daily is convenient and the capsules are easy to swallow with no unpleasant taste.However, despite the high standardization and quality indicators, I personally didn’t experience the energy, strength, or vitality support that I’ve felt with other tribulus products. Having used tribulus supplements before with noticeable results, the lack of any perceptible effects from this formula was disappointing.It’s possible the extraction method, source material, or bioavailability differs in ways that affect effectiveness despite the impressive standardization numbers. Sometimes different tribulus sources or processing methods can impact how well the active compounds work in the body.The quality appears legitimate and the manufacturing standards are solid. For some people this may work perfectly well, but based on my personal experience with no noticeable benefits, I can’t give it top marks despite the good formulation on paper. Still a decent product from a quality manufacturer, just didn’t deliver the results I expected.

An Effective Tribulus Terrestris Supplement
Taking testosterone boosters like Tribulus Terrestris requires careful attention to dosage and cycling.In my experience, exceeding the recommended dosage or taking supplementation for extended periods of time may lead to excess testosterone levels, which was confirmed by my blood work. These elevated levels resulted in noticeable side effects, specifically higher blood pressure and difficulty falling asleep (insomnia).The good news is that these adverse effects can be easily and relatively quickly reversed by reducing the dosage or simply pausing the supplementation entirely.My current effective regimen is to take the two-capsule serving size of NusaPure’s Tribulus Terrestris for two months, followed by a pause of a few weeks. This cycle seems to be an adequate dosage for me. I also appreciate the addition of black pepper, which helps increase product absorption.I recommend this product, but advise users to monitor their body and consider cycling the supplement.
