My hair needs all the support it can get and i have been using a pumpkin seed oil supplement for about a year with good results. These Totaria Health brand 3000 mg pumpkin seed oil came in a large safety and resealable foil pouch bag with a May 2028 expiration date. The package oddly lacks any manufacture, distributer or country of origin information. The bag contains 100 large softgels that had no unpleasant odor or taste. I had been taking 1000 mg daily and these are 3000 mg and are much larger but this also means i only need to take one per day so these will last me much longer. I like that these also have Saw Palmetto , Stinging nettle , Zinc & Biotin included with the pumpkin oil. The oil inside the softgels looks & tastes almost identical to my normal supplement.

At 68 years old I’ve noticed my hair has gotten significantly thinner in the past year. Being aware of the benefits of the ingredients in this formula for hair growth, I decided to give it a try. This contains 3,000 mg. of pumpkin seed oil, 30 mg. zinc citrate, 5,000 mcg. of biotin, 200 mg. of saw palmetto extract, and 200 mg. of stinging nettle root extract. Along with the benefits for blocking DHT to support hair growth, the saw palmetto and stinging nettle also support prostate health. I’m also giving these to my husband for those additional benefits.Evaluating a supplement such as this for hair growth takes time but I am hopeful that combined with the red/near-infrared light therapy that I’m also using will enhance the results of both. Easy to Take, Easy on Digestion Pumpkin Seed Oil Supplement
I ordered the pumpkin seed oil supplement made by TOTARIA not so much for the advertised hair growth benefit but more so for the cardio and prostrate benefits. While I am balding, my heart and prostrate health are life impacting, and I want the best versions of them that I can.The pumpkin seed oil supplement capsules themselves are a little smaller than other supplements I’ve tried. I usually take the daily 3 capsule dose with a full glass of water and follow the directions by taking them at mealtime. The capsules are smooth and go down easily with no digestive distress to date of any kind. I like too that the supplement combines the cold press pumpkin seed oil with biotin (Vitamin B7) and stinging nettle for better possible hair growth results and saw palmetto which has hair growth benefits, but is also a prostate health mainstay. I also like that this supplement is manufactured in a GMP certified facility and is third party lab tested which helps ensure supplement quality and consistency.It has been days rather than weeks since I started this supplement so no visible changes to my balding head or scalp to date but still holding on to hope. On the other hand, there are other benefits I have noticed to date. It seems my urge to get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night are less and my stream is stronger. That’s a big help and encouraging for those of us on the back side of middle age who are trying to hang on to our youth’s nocturnal norms. Additionally, while I haven’t had my cholesterol levels checked, my blood pressure has remained steady rather than the recent intermittently swinging to the high side of the normal range every other day I had been experiencing before starting this supplement. Time will tell if this is coincidental or an attributable supplement benefit.Overall, I am happy with this pumpkin seed oil for its quality, it being easy on the digestion system, and its possible benefits to heart, prostate, and hair. Totaria’s DHT blocker has a clean, mostly herbal formula containing pumpkin seed oil (3000 mg), saw palmetto (200 mg), stinging nettle root (200 mg), as well as biotin (5000mcg) and zinc (30 mg). There are no artificial food dyes or other additives. Doses for each ingredient are listed plainly on the label. There are no proprietary blends.As a DHT blocker, it’s meant to help return some volume to thinning hair as we get older. Most of the ingredients also support prostate health, which is a bonus. I try to take a saw palmetto supplement regularly for that reason. The biotin dose per serving is on the high side, but from what I’ve read, it’s still well within a safe range.The softgels are relatively large, but I don’t have trouble swallowing them with water. Taking them with food is a good idea. I’ve only just started using this supplement, so I can’t confirm hair growth yet. That said, I haven’t experienced any side effects from the suggested serving so far.One quirk: instead of a bottle, the softgels ship in a resealable pouch. It’s a little annoying to pour out exactly three softgels from the bag, so I’ve been fishing them out with a spoon.The supplement is manufactured in a GMP-compliant facility and appears to undergo third-party testing. Large capsules, contains extra nutrients
I am taking hormone suppressing medicine and my hair has thinned since starting it. But this spring I started shedding profusely. I have been taking another pumpkin seed/saw palmetto supplement for the last month and a half. I’m not sure if it is working or not, but I’m going to give it more time. So, I’m going to compare the two brands. Most notably, my current supplement has pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto and that’s it. This new supplement has both of these plus zinc, biotin, and stinging nettle root extract. That may explain the second biggest difference: the capsule size of this new supplement is more than twice the size of the one I’m currently taking. I’m adding a photo to show the difference. This could be a problem for some. I sometimes have trouble swallowing large pills, so I really have to concentrate to swallow these larger pills. Dose is the same, three capsules once a day. I paid $18 for a bottle of 300 of my current supplement; the current listed price for these is $22. So the price is comparable considering the added contents of these supplements. If you research pumpkin seed oil for hair loss, you’ll find that at first you may experience more shedding. This happened to me at first, but now it has slowed down. I plan to continue taking these supplements and hope to see a difference!
