SF722 is amazing! I’ve had sinus pain

SF722 is amazing! I’ve had sinus pain, migraines, depression, anxiety, and brain fog for most of my life. Two years ago I began to be truly exhausted, it was all I could do just to work 8 hrs and could barely keep up with anything else. I had a severe case of angioadema, and later a sinus migraine which caused so much pain I was begging doctors to operate…I was desperate. They gave me antibiotics (Bactrim) which made me feel worse..didn’t think that was possible, and of course loads of painkillers that didn’t really work. I finally got some now brand NAC and took two capsules, in about 10 minutes the pain diminished to almost nothing. I cried a little. At the time I had no idea it was a fungal/yeast infection in my sinuses (broken nose in my 20s) that was producing acetaldehyde causing horrible migraines and fibromyalgia in my neck and shoulders along with periodontal disease and other issues. The NAC is a precursor for glutathione and it also contained molybdenum and selenium. These are substances which allow your body to break down acetaldehyde (look up acetaldehyde – explains a lot). Pantethene, molybdenum, magnesium, Sulforaphane, liposomal vitamin c, and liposomal glutathione – both from seeking health (only brand of liposomals that worked for me so far) all break down acetaldehyde and support healing. Quercetin, a powerful antioxidant, is also extremely helpful for die off symptoms. It stabilizes mast cells to prevent histamine release wich is another byproduct of acetaldehyde. I also had a genetics panel done by 23andme and discovered I am homozygous for one of two major methylation genes 677 – I also had my doctor test me (insurance paid for it) to confirm it. It is estimated that 40 to 50 percent of the population has some degree of this genetic condition that causes so many problems, yeast overgrowth being one. Dr. Ben Lynch and Amy Yasko have websites regarding this. This is also a big deal because your body can’t use vitamin b9 (folate) and needs the methylated version. Do your research before taking methylated b9…it can cause serious reactions in some people. My blood was very thick because of this which caused extreme fatigue. I was also b12 deficient which my blood tests didn’t show correctly. What does all this have to do with sf722? It’s all interrelated; yeast overgrowth, vitamin deficiencies, sluggish liver from toxin overload, hormonal imbalances, insulin imbalance, blood pressure too high or too low…the list goes on and on. Sf722 and the candida diet worked immediately to improve my sinuses and other issues. I research all these subjects relentlessly because your health and wellbeing is about taking responsibility for the state of your body and making it a personalized journey.

Excellent, does what it says, supplier was quick

I had Candida a few years back and my nutritionist recommended undecenoic acid. At the time all I had heard of, for natural remedies, was a severe sugar restricted diet (still the same BTW) and caprilic acid. Some say oregano, garlic, black walnut, pau d’arco and other natural herbs help also by I have only tried garlic, which is good but I can’t tell much effect. I started on the Thorne Research SF 722 and it worked within about 4 weeks, although I think I stayed on it for 6 to 8 as recommended by my nutritionist at the time. I had a recent recurrence and immediately used my leftover supply but was (my bad) not as strict about diet. As soon as I ran out of the SF 722, the Candida hit with a vengeance. I immediately ordered this on Amazon and reinitiated the stricter diet (see below). In between I tried to use caprilic acid, which works, but not as well. I started back on this and, while I can tell I am not ok yet, I can definitely tell it works. I use 6 to 8 gel caps per day. I think the bottle recommends more but, as I recall, 4 x twice a day was what my nutritionist had recommended (actually, I thought he said only once per day but it’s been long enough I can’t remember). It’s only been less than 1 week since the ‘re-start so I’m still on it.Diet: no matter what, you have to be extremely careful. NO extra SUGAR , none, nada. No sugar added to food, none, nada, nope. Look at all labels. At the very least, 1 month. Sorry folks, that’s how to fight this. My nutritionist recommended APPLES (the undecenoic acid can stop up the gut). Just don’t overdo on Apple’s. Another reviewer said granny Smith, yes, that reviewer is probably right but I remember using any Apple, I just only did about half a day and it worked then and seems to work now. For the same reason, DRINK LOTS OF WATER. 64 ounces a day is often recommended. If you don’t, you are going to have a lot of gut problems worse than the Candida. My nutritionist recommended no fruit except Apple’s and berries. I am very careful not to overdo berries but they are often lower in sugar than some fruit. Many people say to avoid ALL fruit. I’d just say at first, avoid all except green apples, lemons and limes for a couple of weeks, then add berries in small quantities. No other fruit for 2-3 months. No sugar for longer if you can or at least 2 months. No cheese or fermented products, no mushrooms, very, very low quantities of carrots and white potatoes for at least a month. Personally I restrict almost all high starch/high glycemic carbohydrates (turn straight to sugar in the body). BUY A GOOD ENZYME AND PROBIOTIC AND EAT YOGURT. The gut needs these seriously to repair any damage done. Read up on this. Take them hours apart from taking the FS 722.4 diet comments: sugar in foods, sweet potatoes, grains and Stevia. (1) sugars in foods: read all labels carefully. Soup and lunch meats/sausage are two weird foods that often have more sugar than you might expect. (2) sweet potatoes: are lower glycemically than you might expect. My nutritionist recommended them and they work well for my body. If you eat them and you do not get better, eliminate, this might be a personal thing. I do NOT agree with the reviewer who said to avoid them. (3)grains, I personally am probably gluten intolerant and eating gluten may have been part of the problem. Avoid most grains, especially wheat and corn. However, my body seems to tolerate rice and many gluten-free grains, especially the “seed” grains and those with higher protein (e.g. quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat) but the reviewer that cautioned against all grains may be right. I personally still eat grains but NO YEAST, NO RAISED BREAD. I eat rice crackers, rice chips (no corn added, Lundberg makes one), and my own pancakes I make with Stevia. (4) stevia: I do not agree with the reviewer on this one. Even my nutritionist recommended it. But it CAN increase your “craving” for sugar. With me personally, I quelled it.

Candida or not, give it a try!

After suffering through a sinus infection and bronchitis and being prescribed many antioniotics and a steroid treatment, after two months I was finally feeling better, still not great but better. Then I noticed my tongue felt like I had a hairball stuck on it. Yep it was covered in a white coating. Went to my clinic and my usual doctor wasn’t in that day so I saw another provider that put me on nystatin for 14 days after diagnosing it as thrush. Made perfect sense after all the antibiotics. 13 days later there was no improvement on my tongue. I went to the walk in clinic and the provider there said clearly I had Candida overgrowth and nothing but a Candida diet, a lot of probiotics and other supplements was going to help. So I began the miserable diet and ordered oregano oil, coconut oil, probiotics and a multi vitamin. I went online looking for anything that might help. I felt terrible most of the time and my tongue was so disgusting I was willing to try anything. I found info on this product on someone’s Candida blog. Well kinda pricey but I had to do something because the other stuff wasn’t working. So I continued with the diet, probiotics other supplements and added sf722 into my routine. I started feeling better, I felt like I was beginning to feel alive again. Still the nasty coated tongue though. After my months supply was used up I ordered again. Still feeling like I was improving, I was having more good days than bad. By now three months had gone by and I was following that diet, taking all the supplements, doing anything and everything I saw recommended for Candida overgrowth. But why was my tongue still gross? So I said well I gotta see my primary doctor again, this is just not right. He took one look in my mouth and said I dong think that’s Candida at all, it’s bacterial. I left ya office with an antibacterial prescription and instructions to return to a normal diet and just be me. I still had some sf722 left and since it was so expensive I decided to finish it off. I have been done with it for a couple weeks now. The antibacterial did it’s job on helping me feel better overall, although my tongue is still coated, which I’m told may take months to get rid of but at least after the culture, it’s peoven to be not Candida. And At least I feel human again. But I find myself considering ordering more of the sf722, because even though I never truly had a Candida problem, and this probably does help with that, I just feel that it made my guts and body feel better in general. However it could have been related to the diet I was following also. So I realize this may not be all that helpful if a review, if you have been diagnosed with Candida or even suspect you may have some issues with it, give this stuff a try. I totally recommend it, Candida or no Candida.

    This is a life saver!

I was diagnosed with systemic Candida after 2 decades of eating mostly fast food and having no idea what gut flora was or how it affects your health.I was given an anti fungal prescription by my doctor, but the Rx was also poisoned my liver when taken at dosages high enough to kill my overgrowth. I spent hours and hours reading about what to eat and what supplements kill Candida, but weren’t harmful to my body. After reading about UA (Undecenoic Acid) and its use in WWI and WWII to cure fungal growth in service members, I tried it. The directions call for 5 capsules, 3 times daily which gives you about 3.5g of UA. The articles I read about our service members called for 7g/day for 30 days, so I rolled with that amount. I’m not recommending anyone else take that dose. I’m simply telling you my experience.Along with a completely clean diet of non-GMO, non-antibiotic chicken, turkey, sourdough bread, almonds and almond butter washed down with PH-balanced water, I took 30 capsules a day, 10 capsules 3 times a day.In about 3-4 days, I could feel a difference. My energy levels started to come back, my strength started to come back, my short term memory even improved. The brain fog I had suffered for months was leaving and after 3-4 weeks, belly fat started disappearing. My uncharacteristic depression that had taken hold of me on and off as a result of my systemic Candida was gone. I also had shortness of breath from the lining of Candida in my lungs and that, too, is gone. After being on the Rx for almost 90 days and having to get my blood tested every 3-4 weeks to check my liver’s health, I stopped taking it after a week using the UA and haven’t even missed it. Mind you, during that 3 months, I felt no improvements in any of the areas I listed and it was harming by body. After 30 days with Thorne UA, I was the me I remembered years from ago. Vibrant, physically and mentally healthy, and no die off symptoms at all.Anyone that has had to deal with Candida die-off knows how miserable the headaches and body aches can be. In the past, if I strayed from my strict diet at all, I always had die-off symptoms while on the Rx. Because the UA killed off most of my Candida and does a phenomenal job at keeping it at bay, I no longer have any die-off symptoms and can eat out with my family from time to time without worrying about being ‘hungover’ for the next 24-48 hours.I have been using Thorne UA for over 3 months now and am so grateful to them for making such a wonderful, safe product. I have learned so much about gut flora, healthy eating and nutrition, I am now enlightening health care professionals that used to just push their choice of Rx on their patients and are now sold on Thorne UA. I have talked with several people in the last 3-4 months that have similar symptoms to mine. I always recommend they get tested at their Dr’s office to see if they do have Candida and if their Practitioner isn’t aware of Candida (many aren’t), educate them. The friends that have been diagnosed and have used Thorne UA all agree that it is a life saver.

My Candida Journey – Still in Progress

2025 UpdateBeen feeling so darn good last few years I forgot I had the bottle in my desk. Never had an antibiotic since. No thrush or sinus issues since a few years. I decided to start a maintenance dose to ensure I feel great all the time. I did notice some chocolate cravings more than normal a few weeks ago that’s why I started the dose. I recommend this product to anyone.Update 2021Really focused lately and feeling great, just that these little roundish rashed on my cheeks and face are really tough to go away. I do see immediate improvements when I continue to take SF722 and when controlling carbs and sugar. I eat pretty healthy anyways but notice that beer or wine will set off the candida in the sinuses.Update 2020I have on and off the SF722 last couple years trying to balance the cranky feeling on SF722 with quality of sinuses, face rash, and candida belly. I guess I will be a lifer on SF722 until the fungus is gone. I added in the Beef Organs and that seems to be helping as well.I recently paused for about 5 days and when I take SF again just five days later I get die-off. Maybe thats normal?2019A year later I gave it a legit go-between career employment and decided I had more time to dedicate to doing this thing right. I worked up to about 12 pills a day in a few weeks and took it a total of 4 weeks and thought I could stop.Because I stopped cold turkey and the fungus must be worse than I thought I had some sort of backlash, chest congestion, and even THRUSH for the first time in my life. So I confirmed candida overgrowth based on that.Got some thrush medicine and fixed the toungue. Then started ramping up to try this again a few months later.2018I ordered SF722 by accident. Was trying to find supplements that would help me with energy and clarity after some weird attack in India on my body that left me stuck in New Deli for two weeks unable to board a plane a few years earlier.I had no idea I had come across the remedy for my problem and had no idea I had a fungus issue or candida-like problem. It was terrifying but once SF722 started working I felt like a different person.; I did get a very dry mouth and could only take a couple of pills a day in the beginning. I did nothing on the candida diet front and drank IPA beer and ate whatever I wanted. That may be why it didnt stick.I lasted about a month and realized I was dehydrated and felt slightly crapola.Although there was die off for sure, I know something serious was happening because little white (rice like) flakes were falling off my tonsils or throat in my mouth every now and then.

Gave me a stomach ache and fatigue.

I wanted to like this but in the end, I decided to stop taking it and to use other anti fungals. Everytime I took it I got a stomach ache after, not immediately but soon after.I honestly don’t know if it worked on my candida and I took more than one bottle of it. only 10 caps a day as I couldn’t take more because of stomach ache issues. So, I would say, I’m sure it works for alot of people, but not for me. I also have a strange rash on my arm that I didn’t have when I started taking it. And its not going away.Grapefruit Seed Extract [Allergy Research Group] has worked for me. So will start taking that again. Also, Candibactin w/oil of oregano. I just got Allicin today that I ordered. will take that. also, MCT oil. those all have been studied and proven to kill candida. I truly cannot stomach this UA ,and it makes me fatigued. I don’t think its the die off as its different than die off symptoms. I appreciate the reviews on Amazon as I feel less alone. It doesn’t work for everybody, which is good to know. Best of luck!

great product BUT inspect your bottles on arrival

I’ve been using Thorne’s Undecylenic Acid for a few months now, and it’s truly been a game-changer for managing fungal acne and overall what feels like candida overgrowth symptoms throughout my body. Within a couple of days I could aready notice a real improvement—less irritation, clearer skin, and my skin barrier finally felt like it was starting to heal and strengthen again. It’s definitely become a staple in my routine. That said, I’m taking off one star because my most recent bottle arrived with the capsules all stuck together, making them impossible to use. I had to file a refund claim, which I typically don’t do. Otherwise, this is a fantastic product that I highly recommend if you’re struggling with similar skin issues or just feeling like you need a bit of assistance with some candida symptoms. Just double-check your bottle when it arrives!

It may be slow, but it works

5 stars even though I still have signs of overgrowth. However after starting this, symptoms I didn’t even know were connected began to go away. I took it to help with constipation from bacteria/fungal overgrowth and oral thrush. It (along with other supplements) definitely helped make me more regular than I’ve ever been, although the oral thrush took several months to begin to get better, and is still present. To my surprise, I soon stopped waking up with a sore throat—for the past year I sometimes woke up this way and also had severe throat pain every time I got a cold. This went away. I also have had scalp issues for years, and while my scalp is still overly greasy, I stopped seeing buildup in my hairbrush. It’s a bit pricey if you are taking the full dose, which I did for a month. My natural doc suggested just 3 capsules twice per day, which may not move the needle as much for you, but I am taking it alongside a rotation of other antimicrobials (allicin, oregano, black walnut, etc).I DO think this works so it is worth the price regardless! And it won’t disrupt your gut microbiome as much as prescription antibiotics and antifungals, although it does work more slowly. Note that it is 5-6 times more potent than caprylic acid.
