Store Brand’s Version of Oreganol – much larger capsule
This may be the same Oil Of Oregano as the proprietary product by North American Herb & Spice but you should note that it comes in liquid Veggie Caps which, in our experience, was less desirable than the much smaller gelcaps that I’ve experienced in the original OREGANOL product. These “Vitamin Shoppe Super Strength Oregano Oil Liquid Veggie Caps” are much larger and not as pleasant to swallow. We were also able to taste the oregano oil when placed in our mouths (we experience no oregano taste with the Oreganol gelcaps at all).I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal, however, the price I was able to purchase the Original OREGANOL product for ($24.90 with shipping) is so close to the same price of this product ($22.93 with shipping) that – after trying both – I’d rather just spring a couple dollars extra and get the original version. If I were saving more by buying this “generic” version, I’d choose IT. It’s really not an inferior QUALITY that we could detect… but it’s just less desirable to take in our experience. However, we DID note that the size of these veggie caps is so much larger than the other brand’s gelcaps…. it left us wondering how it could indeed be the same stuff.ANYWAY, when size matters – these can be more difficult to swallow. If size doesn’t matter, and ESPECIALLY if you can get this one significantly CHEAPER than the proprietary brand – I’d say buy these.
