Five stars today…what will it be at the end of October?
At the time of this review, I have only had the product for about a day; since it takes a while (months?) to see any significant results in weight loss. I am writing this initial review about any effects I have experienced right off the bat.1. Mental alertness: this is a little misleading. Yes – it does wake you up! But any product that stimulates you – whether it has caffeine or not – will by default make you more aware and focused. This product’s advertisement tries to categorize effects separately to tally up a larger number of [independent] results to make it seem more impressive, when in fact some reactions cause a combination of effects that logically go together. It’s not some kind of miracle; increased focus comes from increased mental alertness which comes from waking up which comes from stimulants; it’s just a natural result. So yes, it does increase your alertness – but not your IQ (dang it…).2. Energy: as per the review on mental alertness above, it does give you energy. Because, as mentioned, it contains stimulants. I definitely feel it; no jitters or palpitations – but if I didn’t know any better I would say there were times that I felt a little warm and oh so very slightly sweaty. (but not in a gross way). It puts a little brisk-ification my step. I know that’s not a word but it puts an image in your head so I’m sticking to it.NOTE: I’ve read it does give some nausea. Here’s my take: sometimes I feel a very slight discomfort. No intense nausea, vomiting, cramping, diarrhea, etc. Just a little…queeziness. But that is not with every dose. So far I can’t predict when I will experience the feeling. I know the hot pepper ingredient to boost metabolism will predictably upset your stomach, and so the Capsimax technology is to buffer that. So in theory if I sometimes feel nausea does that mean that this company’s quality control is unreliable? That one pill may have more pepper than another? Or one pill may have less buffering ingredient than another? Hm… Anyway, I take the pill on an empty stomach on purpose to maximize the absorption. Plus the bottle says to take 30 minutes before a meal – when I suppose your stomach would be relatively empty anyway. But I’ve had pills in the past that are so obnoxious that I’ve had to lay down and do breathing exercises to get through the waves of nausea. I didn’t want that again, so I actually take about 12-16 oz of water with the pill to minimize any possible nausea but while allowing the product to be absorbed within an hour. This seems to do the trick.3. Appetite suppressant: ah one of the big ones. Well, maybe it does. I don’t know. Haven’t paid attention. I’ve been trying to eat less anyway – I don’t need a pill to babysit my lack of control (ooo, sorry for “judging”…but this is a pet peeve of mine. For a product to impress me when it comes to losing weight, it must do above and beyond what I can manipulate on my own. It should boost my metabolism. A product should not replace what I should be doing on my own, which is to exercise, eat less overall, eat smaller meals, and taking in more vegetables/less simple carbohydrates.) So my behavior has changed before I could ever give this product a chance to make a significant difference.4. Weight loss: I will finish the bottle in about 3 weeks. I am taking 3 pills a day as an average dose (I could take between 1-6); 3 in a 24-hour period while awake and not too close to bedtime just in case.) At that time, if I remember, I will supplement this review with any updates. Note that I am also lifting so I may not technically lose weight; instead I may lose inches, gain definition, and my waistline won’t be so intimidating.

Ingredients that work
First of all some of the negative reviews make no sense. I had to eat 30 minutes after taking it to help ease stomach pain thus defeating the purpose. The label clearly states to take it 30 minutes before eating. I have a feeling that many of the negative reviewers thought they could take it and not have to eat. There is a reason supplements have directions on them. For example you would not take a pre-workout and not workout out 30 – 45 minutes afterwards. Yes it has some thermogenic ingredients, but the bulk of the ingredients are for mental focus. I stacked mine with the Genius Diet Pill. The only negative I can think of is that you will get slightly nauseas around the 30 minute mark but if you eat you will be fine. I’ve only had this happen when I take both and miss the 30 minute mark.It is designed for you to eat with it. All of the ingredients on the label have scientific studies to back up their use and unlike the latest fad pills (I’m looking at you green tea extract) none are found to have negative impacts or side effects. The latest studies show that the popular green tea extract can cause kidney and liver damage. Well known amongst bodybuilders Ashwagandha is the first ingredient on the label. After about a week on it I lost 1lb. Capsicum is also a well researched ingredient. This is definitely a thermogenic ingredient (think hot peppers) that is well known in the fitness community.You want focus and energy you got focus and energy. I work the night shift as in 11pm to 7am. Somewhere close to the half way mark on my shift I take my Burn. It really does help and unlike coffee it will not keep me up if I take it past the 3am mark. If I take a caffeinated supplement or drink coffee after 3am I will not be able to sleep when I get home, and since I split my sleep by awakening at 12pm to hit the gym and eat before my daughter gets home from school, I have to be able to fall to sleep with an hour of arriving home from work. I get the rest of my sleep in the evening before going to work and once again this does not interfere with sleep like caffeine does. I must stay alert at my job and use to get tired and lose focus around 3-4 am. I no longer have that problem with this product. I have yet to take the maximum allowed dosage as I have not needed it. On average I take 1 pill 1-2 times a day.If you want a supplement from a company that is honest and only uses ingredients that are back by research instead of hype this is the product and company for you. If you want a hyped up product or a magic pill than this is not the product for you because as with any good supplement you still need to do some work no you cannot just take it as you please, eat whatever you want, and never exercise and see results, but any product that works that way will not have a lasting result.

Not worth the money. Been using for over a week and no noticeable effects. I rarely review products but in this case at this cost I feel obligated. I am an active, mid 30s male that more or less maintains a healthy, balanced diet. I use pre and post workout powders 5-6x per week, tired many different supplements and multi vitamins of which I use in some capacity on a daily basis (including fat burners or metabolism boosters such as this), a daily user of protein powders, and occasionally use creatine or stacking powders as well. In other words, I have some experience in these types of supplements/products and this is one of the many, unfortunately, that does not do much if anything. I started by taking 1 pill a bit before breakfast, 1 around lunch, and 1 before dinner as advised on the bottle. After day 2 and no real effects I increased to 2 pills at each interval and the only effect I had was an occasional sweating sensation in my head and neck area, which was odd but not uncomfortable for me being as I get similar effects from C4 pre workout powder and have become used to the sensation. I did not feel my appetite was curbed in any way nor noticed any of the other purported benefits. I bought this product for the same reasons you are likely looking at it and that is the amount of positive reviews it has on Amazon for this type of product and assumed it would be good to try. I have unfortunately had more than a few products over the years on Amazon that are in similar categories as this that simply just dont really do a heck of a lot and this is another one of those. At $15-20-25 per bottle for supplements that dont work I chalk it up as lesson learned, no big deal and move on and dont buy again. At $50 a bottle for this product to have similar results I feel is not reasonable. I hope my bad experience saves some people looking into this product a couple of bucks at least.

This actually works for me, lost 10lbs in 1 month! So why 3 stars!?
I would like to say this worked very well for me, so why 3 stars!? Well, the price is $50 and yes I paid that, I didn’t buy it through a lightning deal or get this for free. Nah, I paid the actual retail price and for me, it has actually worked and no it’s not a placebo, regardless of what people might think or want to say. I lost 10lbs in a month without trying to eat right or work out, which is pretty crazy to be fair. Anyways, back to 3 stars, it’s just expensive, I can’t justify spending the price when there are a couple of other brands that have close to the same blend (formulas that are proven to work). I’d rather just save my money and go on with my life purchasing through a different brand. I wouldn’t even complain about it being $50 because well that is worth weight loss, however, you eventually build up to 2 pills 3 times a day, that is $150 a month, yeah no thanks. Sorry Genius I really do love your products, I continually buy your Genius Caffeine, but I can’t justify myself to purchase these again at this price. Thanks for showing me this works though, as I can find the same results through other brands.

Worked surprisingly well!
I started on a reduced calorie, low carb diet. A month in, I had only lost 2 lbs. Two months in, reduced 100 calories additional, I was only down 3 lbs. I am a mid-fourties, hypothyroid, and peri-menopausal woman; weight loss comes frustrating slow, even with thrice weekly visits to the gym. In an eager attempt to boost my weight loss, I tried Genius Burn. I have been really happy with their other products, so I was hoping for the best. Honestly though, I’ve tried every diet pill under the sun over the years and didn’t want to take that route. I was pleased that this supplement didn’t have caffeine, but at the same time had doubts about the overall efficiency in the absence of it. When I added “the burn”, I didn’t change anything else I was doing. I was already exercising, down to 1,000 calories and 60 g of carbs, with painfully slow progress. After one month of taking Burn, I dropped an additional 7 lbs! Still not the fast weight loss most people see on the diet I was on, but it was a lot for me! I am down 10 lbs now, still have 20 to go, and I will continue to invest in this supplement for the duration of my weight loss journey. I never felt jittery. I did find that instead of being freezing all of the time, I sometimes actually got warm! I also found that my head was a lot clearer, less of the mom fog that I am plagued with. I only took Burn in the morning, one time a day, to avoid disruption to my delicate sleep schedule. Overall, I highly recommend this product. You won’t be disappointed as long as you eat real food (which means you have to plan and cook), burn more calories than you take in, and drink plenty of water. This is not a miracle pill that will take the place of the work and commitment of a healthy lifestyle. You have to do the work to see the result, but this will make it a bit easier.

Definitely helped along with working out
I have been stacking genius burn and genius diet. I feel like they definitely helped with my weight loss. I would not be snacky through out the day and I was no longer over indulging at meals. I had energy at the gym and have been building some muscle. Since starting taking the genius burn and working out regularly, I have lost about 20 lbs in 6 months time. I have ordered my second bottle to help lose about 20 more lbs, to be at my goal weight. Most importantly, I have never felt sick or jittery from taking genius burn.Update: it seems to lose effectiveness after using for awhile. I haven’t been able to lose any more weight that I wanted. I’ve also lost the motivation to be consistent. I have mostly kept off the weight maybe a 5lb gain. I’ve taken a break for a few months and gone back on them but no results like the beginning.

I don’t know what kind of voodoo magic is in this product, but I’ve tried pretty much everything to lose weight (pills, teas, shakes, shots, exercise, straight up calorie reduction) and nothing I’ve ever done has eliminated my appetite so well. I’m a yo-yo dieter and a boredom eater; I have an intense craving for carbs that lives rent-free in my mind all day long, and even when I manage to go a while without eating, I think about how I *should* eat something even though I’m not hungry… and the next thing you know I’m armpit-deep in a bag of Lay’s potato chips.However, immediately upon taking one of these pills for the first time (like… within 30 minutes) my appetite completely evaporated. It’s late, I shouldn’t eat right before bed, I’m not *that* hungry, etc.The only downside to these pills are that they do make my stomach feel a bit… off sometimes? For starters, Genius Burn has been the most effective, all around best thermogenic fat burner I’ve ever used & I’ve used a whole lot of different fat burners throughout the years.
