Biochemist and intentionally fit person here.I’ve been interested in this innocuous “functional” as opposed to “fun” mushrooms for awhile. They are a fad at the moment and there’s not a lot of clear scientific evidence behind any of the claims on packages or in these other reviews.All the information is highly qualified and situational. However, none of it suggests anything dangerous about using these as a supplement any different than just having them in your diet.That said I was interested in incorporating them just to see what I thought and as far as these sorts of products go, everything with Genuis seems to be above board with what they say is in it. Sometimes you just get white powder and go “OK, I hope this is actually what I think this is.”I’ve just been eating a scoop of these daily. It’s clearly mushrooms. It doesn’t taste like nothing as cited in some other reviews. It tastes like mushrooms and slightly sweet. Kind of like a weak broth taste. Not strong so I don’t think you’d notice it in things, but it’s not nothing.I did mix it a couple of times just to see and no problem there.So on to the outcomes. They state after a few days of use you may notice subtle effects. Sounds very much like the studies on these types of mushrooms. I tend to agree. I do feel like there’s a slight difference in mental focus. Or at the least less things are a bit less mentally taxing. I’m in complicated technical calls all day and my brain feels a little less mush after a couple of hours.The thing I like most it seems they are sourcing the product as they claim and it’s very simple with not a lot to go wrong. This seems like a safe bet if you’d like to try supplementing with these mushrooms and don’t want to go through the trouble of working them into your diet.

I’m a big believer in the benefits of adding mushroom powder to my daily routine, especially for immune support, so I was excited to try The Genius Brand Mushroom Powder. I’ve been adding it to my morning coffee, and so far, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive.The most important thing for me is that the powder dissolves well, and this one does a great job. I’ve used other powders that leave gritty chunks at the bottom of the cup, but this one dissolves almost completely with just a bit of stirring. I find that a small amount of residue at the very end is barely noticeable, which is a big plus.The flavor is another key factor, and this powder lives up to its “no taste” claim. It has a very mild, earthy taste that blends seamlessly with the coffee, so I’m not stuck with an overpowering mushroom flavor. This makes it easy to incorporate into my daily routine without altering the taste of my drink.In terms of the effects, while I can’t make any specific health claims, I can say that I haven’t been sick since I started using it, which is a great sign. Good Full Spectrum Mushroom Powder
I really like that this mushroom powder is both grown and manufactured in the US. I also like that the whole mushrooms are used for maximum benefit. Most powders use mushroom extracts which, depending on how the process, adds unwanted chemicals. Also using the whole mushroom incorporates both the mycelium and fruiting body. Previously, it was thought that most of the beneficial beta glucans came from the fruiting body and, while this may be true for some mushroom varieties, it isn’t for all mushrooms, including Lions Mane mushrooms which are in this product.The powder itself has a slight earthy aroma and when I added it to my coffee, it didn’t add much bitterness. Maybe just a touch. It’s a very fine powder so easy to mix in.The reason I’m rating this 4 stars instead of 5 is that although it is stated that this is organic, the USDA Organic seal is missing. So although most mushrooms for commercial use are grown in controlled environments without fertilizers or pesticides, the USDA seal of approval would demonstrate 100% this product is organic. It’s also a bit pricey at $7.88/ounce but may be worth the price for the reasons given above. I found it hard to find another full spectrum mushroom powder.

Great blend of ground mushrooms.
All I have to say, finally a mushroom powder that doesn’t taste like anything that I can add to my coffee so I can enjoy my daily dose of mushrooms and caffeine all in one sitting! I’ve tried mushroom coffee and, I’m a bit of a coffee snob so it doesn’t hit the same as a cup of fresh ground beans. When I saw this powder, I thought I’d give it a try because I’ve heard really great things about genius mushrooms and all the great things I’ve heard about them are pretty accurate. I love that it has no taste! Like I seriously love that it has no taste whatsoever! It does not overpower my coffee which is everything to me. I will forewarn you though, the powder itself is very unappealing. It kind of looks like sand or dirt, but luckily it dissolves pretty quickly so you don’t have to look at it for too long! Also, I didn’t really notice a grimy or gritty texture to it, which is something I also truly appreciate! I would say out of all the mushroom blends that I’ve tried to put in my coffee this one is definitely at the top of my list!
