I’m already a big fan of regular Tarwi and regularly buy the small 60-calorie snack bags, so I was really excited to try the chocolate version.The short version is that these are excellent, especially if you already enjoy the flavor and texture of plain Tarwi. The chocolate coating adds just enough sweetness to make them feel more like a treat without taking away from what I like about the original snack.They’re also surprisingly filling, which is one of the biggest reasons I like them. I’ve noticed that when I have one with lunch, I’m much less likely to start snacking again later in the afternoon. The high protein content is a big plus and makes this feel like a much more satisfying snack than typical chocolate-covered items.The texture is good, the flavor works really well, and they do a great job of helping curb hunger between meals. I really don’t have anything negative to say about them and will definitely be buying more. The price may seem higher if not familiar with Tarwi, but for this product, its an excellent value.

These were delicious! I had to take an exam I had been studying for three months and I wanted a clean snack that was low carb but would give me energy and help me feel satiated throughout the entire 3.5 hour exam. I passed the exam!It was convenient to eat this from the pouch while I was driving to the exam center, so a good travel snack.The dark chocolate was tasty, you can tell that it’s high quality and not laden with sugary milk chocolate. The texture is nice too, I like the crunch from the lupin beans. The skins are dry and roasted which adds to the crunch. I think this is a great clean snack that it a great deal here.

Since I was trying to order chocolate covered coffee beans, and that is exactly what I entered in the search bar, I was very disappointed to receive something that was definitely *not* coffee beans. I did try the product, but it’s very dry and I just don’t care for them.

A healthy snack with a surprising texture
I really wanted to say that this product was the best thing since sliced bread, but I don’t think that it is the case. I had never had tarwi before and was surprised. The product is rather light weight and I was expecting more of a lightweight crunchy texture, but the tarwi texture was more like stale popcorn. It was not the texture that I was expecting (or really wanted).I would call the chocolate that is coating the tarwi medium quality. It is higher quality than waxy tasteless chocolates that a lot of products use. The disappointing thing is that it sweet and mellow vs bold and dark flavored. I really like chocolate covered crunchy things, but the texture of the tarwi was disappointing.The amount of protein in this snack is surprisingly high and it is healthier than so many chocolate snacks out there. It is something that you would want to have a little of, not an entire bag. The high fiber content is also another positive of this snack.I will not buy this product again, but I will eat the entire bag and am happy that I did try it

Very Dry
I have never had tarwi before, or even heard of it, but I love most anything with chocolate, so I decided to give this a try. Unfortunately, I do not really like it. This snack tastes very much like chocolate covered peanuts, but less salty. It was very dry and there was too much tarwi and not enough chocolate to help the dryness.The tarwi comes in a resealable package. Unlike the small pellets pictured in the seller’s photographs, the tarwi comes in large chunks. I was happy to see that even though it was delivered in the summertime, that the chocolate did not melt at all.Overall, I thought these were tasty but not my favorite snack. It is also a bit too expensive of a snack for me to buy on a regular basis.

High Protein & Fiber
You really cannot beat the protein/calorie ratio combined with the high fiber of this snack! And, I think anyways, it tastes pretty good! The tarwi has little flavor, I find it similar to say, a plain rice cake. There is just a light coating of a dark chocolate, and I find it a great balance! I don’t like things that are really sweet so for me, this is perfect. However, the chocolate is fairly sparse compared to the pics in the listing and on the bag, so I added a pic of the actual product to try & show how it really looks. The bag size and serving size are pretty small and it is quite pricey and that is a bummer as $5 for a small 150 calorie snack is tough to sustain.LABELLING – there are a lot of inconsistencies with the labeling (I track calories & macros, so this stood out to me), including:- Pouch size states 3.5 oz / back label states 3.3 (1 oz.) servings/container – this would actually be 3.3 oz not 3.5.- 1 serving is 150 calories, whereas a container (3.3 servings) is listed as 433 calories. But, 3.3 x 150 = 495 calories
