I absolutely love this box of juice recipes; I think this is so clever, well thought out in it’s entirety and designed with care.Observations: These are nice sized recipe cards, not tiny ones and are on heavy cardstock with a matte coating so they will last due to their quality and easy to clean in case of sticky hands. Starting out there are a few cards that explain the icons, servings and other healthy tips. Next you have a few cards with phytonutrient benefits of fruits/herbs and their effects, overview of the recipe sections which are color coded for general informational purposes. For the recipe itself, one side has a lovely photo representation with a quick synapse of flavors and effects. The other side has healthy tips, ingredients with photos, calorie amounts, directions for both! juicer AND a blender, key phytonutrient, health benefit and a neat flavormeter that tells you what to expect flavor wise.My personal thoughts: I love that this box is wide but slim, perfect for a small shelf or stored in your cupboard, easy to grab, easy to store. I myself am a juicer and I personally think that all of the recipes are very very beginner friendly; meaning, when you make one of these juice recipes they will taste good, be worth your time making them and are a huge benefit to health. All of the recipes are written for healthier lifestyle in mind but with the knowledge that they have to taste good in order to help make the switch over to juicing and stick with it. Trust me when I say there are some juice blends that will curl your toes for more advanced palates and these are all taste bud friendly. Another thing I think is very empathetically thought out are instructions to make your juice for both a juicer OR a blender. Not everyone has a fancy expensive machine and all of these recipes can be easily made with basic small appliances. The cards also have basic simplistic ingredient lists with photos, so a quick look for your grocery list will prepare you for some tasty juices for the week. It’s so much easier to stay focused and follow a plan when you have a physical, tangible item in your hand you can reach for vs some digital recipe on your phone that gets buried and forgotten about. I personally think these cards can help someone on a healthier lifestyle journey by providing all the information needed at their fingertips. The information in the set really walks the user through the best way to juice fruits and vegetables. The “Start Here” card explains how to use the set. It’s just amazing; as a first-time juicer who has zero clues how or where to start, this set is perfect for me. Nice quality.
I just ordered a juicer recently to make homemade orange juice since store bought is so expensive. When I came across these cards I figured what the heck! Juicing for Beginners is me! The cards are a great quality! Not thin or cheap. I love how each card has a flavormeter on the lower right corner so you’ll know if it’s something you want to attempt to make or totally ignore! For instance, I don’t like bitter drinks so anything I see that has a flavormeter of bitter I’m more than likely not going to waste my ingredients on that receipe. Oh and it’s not just juicing either! The card also has the instructions for using a blender! I mean, really great quality product. Information on the cards is well layed out. The deck is very well organized by color. I haven’t made any of these yet because I need to get the ingredients, but I’m definitely looking forward to trying some of them!
