Weird texture and bad flavor
My husband takes tons of vitamins and decided to add this to his routine. Unfortunately, he found these to taste terrible and have a ‘Chalky” consistency. He said they are comparable in texture to a Flintstone vitamin. While it being a chewable makes it easier for most, I think he would like these better if he could just swallow it and be done with it. These were not a bad price and the quality of the packaging and the pills themselves seems fair…its just the taste and texture that he cannot handle. He could only take them for a couple weeks and just stopped to get one that’s not in chew tablet form. If you can’t swallow pills and can handle a strong beet flavor….this should be fine for you.

Good Formula for Energy But Check The Dosage
I’ve been using Swanson for years, so I was interested to see how these chewable beetroot tablets compared to their other supplements. They’re a good size and have a deep beet color with a flavor that actually tastes like very sweet beets to me (most likely the xylitol). They smell faintly like beets to me as well. On paper, the formula is what seems to be a good mix for circulation and energy since it combines beetroot powder with amino acids like L-Arginine and L-Citrulline.A few people seemed pretty annoyed by the bioengineered label in the fine print, and I can see why that’s a turn-off if you’re looking for a “clean” supplement. Bioengineered is just the new official USDA term for GMOs, which they started requiring in 2022 to standardize labeling. In a product like this, the label most likely refers to a filler or a sweetener derived from bioengineered corn or sugar beets. Personally, I don’t have strong thoughts on it either way because the nutritional value and the nitrates should be exactly the same. It’s just something to be aware of if you prefer to avoid GMOs entirely.The ingredients:- Beet Powder, L-Arginine, & L-Citrulline: These work together to boost nitric oxide for better blood flow and energy.- CarnoSyn Beta-Alanine: Helps with muscle endurance and delays fatigue during physical activity.I like these supplements well enough so far. I’ve not been taking them long enough to give an opinon on their effectiveness. Definitely better than ingesting beetroot powder.One thing to keep in mind is the dosage. Each tablet has 100 mg of beet powder, which is relatively low if you’re looking for the high nitrate levels found in clinical studies (usually 300 mg to 500 mg). While the added amino acids help with blood flow and energy, these might not be enough if you’re relying on them as your primary source of beetroot for certain issues.

Trusted supplement brand, questionable efficacy
I’ve always been interested in methods and supplements to help improve nitric oxide, which in turn improves blood flow, performance, etc. The ingredients, beet powder, l-arginine and l-citrulline have been proven to help in this regard. Each tablet has 100mg of beet powder, so depending on your usage you may want to use multiple tablets. They taste vaguely sweet by this may be because there is xylitol in them. They’re easy to use as they are chewable tablets. I don’t notice much of an affect or more energy yet, but this may come with more time. The price isn’t cheap, and I question the efficacy of using this product vs a cheaper, bulk container of the proven l-arginine and l-citrulline.

Beet root
These beetroot chews are easy to take and have a mellow taste. I usually allowed them to dissolve instead of chewing before workouts. I used them daily and did notice small energy and endurance improvements especially on cardio days. Swanson is a trusted brand so I can rest assured no extraneous additive ingredients or fillers are used. I think value wise these are a bit higher priced than they should be. I would have liked to see a larger dosage or more servings for the price. Overall, a straightforward supplement that performs as expected.

Benefits of beets in a convenient and easy tablet!
I love trying out supplements, especially as we’re continuing to see that researches find a lot of conventional wisdom proved right with many foods proving beneficial to our health. The challenge we all face is getting that kind of medicine into our diet, and that’s where supplements are perfect for helping on this! This supplement specifically gets you many of the benefits of beets, which studies continue to back up as being great for Nitrous Oxide and improved athletic performance. Let’s get to it though!Pros -First off, love the taste on these, which I think sounds a little weird, but I like the taste of beets and these definitely have that sort of taste. I like the tablet size as it’s really convenient and easy to take and I just eat it in the morning with my other supplements. Very easy to take and remember, and it helps that it taste good as well. I run daily and find that these help me just to have a little extra energy, and I feel like these have helped my general health as well. Finally, Swanson seems to always hit that right combination of being a good quality brand without a crazy price tag, you know that you’re getting good quality and that’s certainly the case here!Cons -Some may not care for the flavor of the tablets, but I personally liked it!Final Verdict -As with any supplement, your mileage may vary, but I’ve found these to help me out consistently in my exercise and overall health and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beet supplement!

Tastes like sweetened dirt
Disclaimer: vine review of an item I requested free*Thumbnail sized chewable tablet. The xylitol gives it an initial sweet flavor, but that quickly gets absorbed and you’re left with a mouth full of earthy (dirt) taste no matter how quickly you chew and swallow. But it’s not lingering, it washes away if you swish a swallow of water or eat anything.Beets are another vegetable that I like the benefits of but don’t like the flavor of. So I get in pills. The more gummy chewable ones are better, I think I’ll stick to those even though they’re a bit more expensive.
