I’ve only known oregano as a cooking ingredient; I didn’t know it could be considered a health supplement. I’ve just started taking these oil of oregano softgels. I don’t really know if or how they will benefit me, but am eager to find out.There are other active ingredients in this product as well: black seed oil, turmeric and black pepper. I know turmeric is supposed to have many health benefits. Black seed oil is, too, though I’ve never used it. Black pepper is used in some supplements (including this one) to enhance absorption of the other ingredients.You can definitely smell the oregano! The softgels are not very large, and go down easy. A daily serving is two softgels, and with 300 in the package you’re getting 150 days’ worth. That’s pretty generous, as so many supplement products only give you enough for about a month.As I’ve only been taking these a short time, I can’t attribute any specific effects to them as yet. Based on my experience with many supplements over the years, I expect that benefits will be noticeable only over a longer term. They may also be subtle even though quite real.Here’s what the package mentions re benefits: digestive and gut function support, healthy microbiome balance support, antioxidant support, immune system support, daily herbal wellness support. That’s a lot of support! It also carries the usual disclaimer that these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.This product is GMO free, lab tested, and made according to good manufacturing processes (GMP).The bottom line is, I like this health supplement.
