I got this for my mother, who recently turned 75 years old. The softgels have almost no noticeable odor or flavor, and she really appreciated that the bottle has a pop-top that she could open easily. The problem was that while the softgels were soft, they are large enough that she had trouble swallowing it and is wisely unwilling to try a second one.
