Comment:
Unlike most dried berries, this doesn’t have sugar or corn syrup or anything else added, it is just the wild berries dried. Bilberries have been found in research to support cancer cell death, and prevent UTI’s as well. I admit I prefer the, fresh but that isn’t possible for this fruit from northern Scandinavia.

Nutritional powerhouse
great to put in trail mix, on cereal or any recipe where you’d use dried berries. These have a delicately sweet-herbal taste. I hesitate to use the hackneyed term “superfood”, but they are very nutritious.

These are very good. They are supposed to help the eyes
These are very good. They are supposed to help the eyes. I had a recent eye exam. My Rx only changed slightly – I am 66 years old.

Chewy and delicious
I was expecting 50/50 to be disappointed based on some other reviews – thought they might be too hard or tasteless … either I got a better batch or have different tastes … But I found these very tasty and chewy … like a raisin that had been left way too long in the sun and dried out more to the texture of a piece of fruit jerky (those fruit strip roll up things) or something like a pretty dehydrated prune maybe. I eat a tablespoon of these right from the package (with dark chocolate) and don’t have a problem with them. They are dried for sure but chewy … I rather like them!

Billberry
Dried Bilberry is my favorite Superfood that I use for my crystal clear vision because I learned that the US & UK Air force Military take for a night vision. I found this food hack really works “;)

Tasty
Bilberries are effective to slow the progression of eye problems according to research. My sister has used the dried berries in hot water creating tea, then she eats the rehydrated berries. She had prisms which have disappeared by presumably the consumption of the bilberries, however, my review should not be interpreted as medical advise since I’m not a doctor. Best is you seek a naturopath for a recommendation. The quality is fine but I always wonder about organic growing/farming standards in foreign countries. These bilberries are imported from Bulgaria.

Watch out for the stems
I love Starwest products I’ve been using them for many years. Bilberries are hard to find, but I can find most of my herbal products at Starwest. The bilberries are not over dried and have a good tart taste.
