I love this company.
I’m in the early stages of starting my own tea business, and have ordered multiple herbs from Starwest to experiment with different blends. Each one is high quality I’ve actually compared them to higher priced herbs I acquired from a local apothecary; Starwest is always of higher or equal quality. Kava does have subtle mouth numbing qualities, which can obstruct the taste of other herbs, but the medicinal benefits are well worth it.

Just not for me
I really like tea. I really do. I’ve been struggling a lot with anxiety lately, especially these days. Sometimes I just need something to help me fade out a little. I have different methods, but… a friend recommended this tea to me. I tried it, and… First of all, you do need a lot to feel something. And the taste isn’t the best. So… I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but it’s just not for me. If that helps

Knead and enjoy
Super relaxing. It only works for me when I knead at least ten to fifteen minutes in warm coconut milk in cheese cloth. I prefer to drink this on weekends or at night so I can lie down after. I’ve added lavender creamer for taste and its delicious. I also drink it plain though. I’m not sure how to describe taste but its earthy and makes my mouth numb when first ingesting. I really love this on my Moon cycle to help me relax more.

didn’t make me sleepy, but nice for an herbal tea
This loose root tea didn’t make me sleepy as I was hoping, but it does taste good for a root tea. It reminds me of sassafras root tea as it has a, I don’t know, tingling effect on the tongue.
