I can’t compare this to any other extracts as I have only had elderberry in other forms, but I didn’t care for the strong flavor and aftertaste of this. I was surprised at how unpleasant the flavor is.

The way this was packaged looked suspicious to me also the bottle was not filled all the way. I emptied the bottle into a small measuring cup that measures tablespoons, teaspoons, ounces and milliliters. This measured out to 1.5 oz and not quite 50 ml. It smells like prunes and not like elderberry.

Easy-to-take elderberry supplement. It comes in a 2 fl oz amber glass bottle and includes a glass dropper (though there are no mL markings). The dropper fills easily, and since the serving size is 5 mL, I prefer just dispensing it into a teaspoon for more accuracy.As for the flavor, it reminds me somewhat of liquid vanilla extract, likely due to the grain alcohol (35–45%) content. The taste is fairly strong and has some alcohol kick when taken directly, but I personally don’t mind it. Of course, it can easily be mixed into a glass of water to lessen the alcohol type flavor.I like taking elderberry for immune support and antioxidants, I have been happy with this supplement so far. It agrees with me well and hasn’t caused any side effects. But beyond that as with most supplements it’s difficult to determine how well its working with short term use.The bottle only provides about 11 servings, and the suggested use says you can take 5ml up to 3 times daily, making it feel more like a sampler size or something to use for short-term immune support.Overall, it’s a good value at less than $10, simple clean ingredients with the main ingredient being elderberry fruit and flower extract (1:8), and minimal other ingredients, it’s made in the USA as-well.
